Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 69

As Marius said yesterday, his team of lawyers finally came to the house. Marius also called Ana to listen to what the lawyer would say.

From their talks, Ana could only conclude that they could address the issue easily as they had a self-signed affidavit by Valerie.

"Presidential letter?," asked Ana in between their talks.

"In order to protect Rain, Adam once asked Valerie to sign a statement that Valerie herself who handed over Rain was taken care of by Adam and the Hadinata family. But he was still given the chance to meet. It's just that, he never used the opportunity at all" Marius replied explaining.

Marius also gave the affidavit to be read by Ana. Clearly visible to him, Adam really thought of everything in order to protect Rain from his own mother.

It even says Valerie agreed that she would never take Rain out of Hadinata's house by force, even though Valerie was still allowed to come see her. Adam seemed to have guessed that the events he feared would someday happen.

But, the question in Ana's mind is not who wins or who loses.

Marius seemed to know what Ana was thinking at the moment. Therefore when they all came out of her study, she kept Ana there. Hugged her.

Ana nodded her head. "I can only hope that Rain's grief doesn't continue to grow because of this."

Marius tightened his embrace. "Ehm .. We all hope so too" she said, kissing Ana's hair.

The warning letter Valerie was referring to had actually come and had already been received by Marius. But according to Marius' team of lawyers, the letter was only to inform Marius as Rain's guardian that Valerie would take custody of Rain through the court. And if the dossier has been accepted by the court, they believe Valerie will then file a request with the court to bring Rain.

To make their submission easier, the last few days since the warning letter was sent, Valerie always came to see Rain. And she always carries something, whether it's dolls, clothes, or chocolate.

Unfortunately, Rain did not want to see him at all. Even Valerie's gift wouldn't want to be seen. Rain still could not accept Valerie's presence. Still, Valerie did not give up, she still came with her lawyer, every day.

Ana and Marius shouted calling Valerie's name almost simultaneously. Ana is surprised to see Marius who has just come from below with Lucas. Both Ana and Marius, they were both furious at what Valerie had said.

"Don't listen to all that, Rain," Ana whispered to Rain.

Seeing Marius who had come, Ana did not want to delay any longer the time linger there. He was sure that in a moment, the quarrel between Marius and Valerie would heat up even more. He immediately took Rain to his room.

"Listen, Rain. Everything Mama Valerie said was wrong. There is no such thing as boredom. Daddy and Mommy will always love Rain. Because Rain is Daddy and Mommy's son too."

Ana touched both sides of Rain's face. The little girl started crying ever since they entered her room. She did not know, whether Rain cried after hearing Valerie's words, or because she was frightened by all the anger she felt outside earlier.

Rain cried again as much as he did that night. It must have been very painful for Rain, Ana thought.

"Rain ... just love ... daddy and mommy," Rain said in her sobbing.

"Mommy and Daddy love Rain, too" Ana says. He hugged Rain. The two of them shed tears in their arms.

Ana seemed to be able to feel the pain that Rain was feeling at this moment. Her chest felt tight to see how the child had to get through this.
