Extra Story: Part 9

It had been almost 30 minutes Ana was sitting on the toilet seat nervously. For almost 30 minutes Ana kept looking at the sink table in front of her.

What Ana noticed was not her desk, but the thing on it. A small, elongated object was waiting for Ana to see it. But Ana was too scared to do it.

Test pack his name. The thing Ana was looking at was the thing that had recently become so familiar to her ears. I don't know how many times he bought it. He memorized his brand names.

It had been almost two years since Marius and Ana were married, and almost two years ago Ana still had no signs of pregnancy. Since their marriage turned 5 months old, Ana began to fidget. Ana grew more agitated, when Naomi, who married 6 months after Ana, was declared pregnant 3 months after marriage. Anna started thinking negatively of herself.

He started buying test packs. It even forced Marius to follow the pregnancy program that the doctor suggested. And that still hasn't shown results. Ana started to worry.

Just like at this moment, as Ana continued to pay attention to that small object. Ana's mind kept thinking about the things that made her even more worried. Therefore, the longer Ana just sat and watched the object, the less courage Ana had to see the results. In the end, it made Marius who became worried.

"Ana ... Are you okay?," called Marius from behind the door.

"L-yes, I'm fine" Ana replied.

For a moment, the atmosphere became quiet. Marius no longer asked. And Ana is again worried about the outcome.

"Ana ... I'm in, yes," call Marius again.

Ana could not resist it, or Marius would grow worried.

Marius entered the bathroom carefully. The first thing she saw was Ana who kept paying attention to the sink table. Marius continued his observations to that place. And he was no longer surprised when he saw a test pack lying on it.

Marius walked over to Ana, then ended up sitting on both knees. His hand then grabbed Ana's face, and called out the name of the wife he loved so much.

"I was too afraid to see her, Marius," Ana answered Marius' call. "What if the result is negative again?"

Marius grasped Ana's fingers gently. "Ana ... You want me to look at it and tell you as usual?"

Ana was silent for a moment, then nodded later. And a while later, Marius was back with the test pack in hand. She grasped it, closing the result, only for Ana to be unable to see it, as well as herself. Yeah, because Ana always puts it upside down before she sees it.

"We'll see it together. But this time, I want you to promise me, Ana," Marius said after he returned to sit in front of Ana.

Marius doesn't usually become like this. Usually he would directly tell Ana the result.

But Ana was impatient again, she let Marius on his terms.

Ana looked silently at Marius. If the result is positive of course he will stop doing it. But if it is negative .. why should he stop?

Marius again grabbed Ana's face with his other hand. "I've said it before, and I'll never get tired of saying it again now."

"You are my wife, and will forever remain so, with or without a child born from your womb. I don't care if you can conceive or not."

"I know you're dying to be pregnant. Every day you want it more than anyone in this house. And because of that, every time you are disappointed, you destroy yourself little by little. Every day, Rain and I see you destroyed, and it hurts so much, Ana."

When Marius mentioned the name Rain, without realizing it, Ana also called out to him in a clean manner. He forgot he still had Rain.

Ana began to shed her tears. He began to think so selfishly that he did not think about how the people around him felt.

"I want to be just as much as you. I want to have a child with you too. But, it hurts more to see you like this than to feel disappointed every time you see a negative result on this test pack, Ana."

"That's why, I don't think about that anymore. What I'm thinking about now is how I can make you forget about your disappointment and live happily with me without having to worry about whether you're pregnant or not."

Ana's tears are flowing more and more. Her guilt made her unable to stop her tears.

How many times did Ana ask her to see the results just because she couldn't see them? During that time, he had never thought at all about how Marius felt. And her husband never complained.

Marius continues to comfort Ana, not leaving her alone to face disappointment, and always follows Ana's selfish desires just so that she can be truly happy.

With her tears continuing to drop non-stop, Ana grabs the test pack Marius is holding. He grasped it tightly just as Marius did. Then, throw it into the trash that is next to it.

Lastly, he hugged Marius very tightly.

Marius said nothing. She just hugged Ana and stroked her hair. She let Ana's tears wet her shirt. She hopes that after Ana is satisfied to cry, all that Ana worries is gone, and Ana can continue her life without any burden on the child.

For a long time Marius accompanied Ana in the bathroom until she completely stopped crying. Perhaps due to exhaustion, Ana ended up falling asleep in her arms. Slowly, Marius held her up and laid her on the bed.

Ana's tears still washed her face. Between the two eyebrows still furrowed together, signifying that Ana was asleep with her guilt. Gently, Marius wiped away Ana's tears.

Marius looked at Ana for a moment before she went to work. The longer, the more reluctant he was to leave Ana in this condition. If not for her important meeting today, Marius would definitely have stayed home.

But Marius had to go. Therefore, he intended to finish it immediately, then return after everything was done. Slowly, Marius kissed Ana on the forehead before she left her bedroom.

He simply told Tian to deliver his message to Ana, and gave her a chammomile tea when she woke up later. She wished Ana to become much calmer after drinking it.
