As soon as the car he was driving arrived home, Marius immediately got out of his car not even paying attention to the servants who were already preparing to greet him. The one on his mind right now was Rain. Although Ana says not to worry, but still Marius can not stop thinking about it, especially when Ana mentions the name Nora.
"I'm going straight home, it's okay, right?" Ana said on the phone.
"What's wrong? Are you sick?" asked Marius worriedly.
"No, there's nothing. It's just Rain just saw Nora. His body was straight stiff. She's scared."
"How's Rain doing now?"
"It's okay. Don'worry. He is currently sleeping. I'll go straight home to put him to bed."
"alright. I still have a meeting at 7. I'll go home as soon as I'm done."
If if the meeting could be postponed, he would immediately go home to see Rain. Despite this, Marius remained unable to focus throughout the meeting.
"Marius ?"
Ana is surprised to see Marius already standing in front of her as she just opened Rain's room door and intends to come out. Marius' tiredness mixed into one with his worry. Everything was clearly on his face.
"How's Rain?" he asked.
"He was sleeping. When he came home he woke up. I bathed him for a while, and then I ate, but he didn't eat much. Finally she fell asleep again" explained Ana.
"I'll see him for a minute."
Ana gives Marius a way to get into Rain's room. He saw the man looking at Rain lovingly. Ana who did not want to bother him decided to leave them and go downstairs.
......................
"Not slept yet?"
Marius' voice from behind her made Ana a little surprised. Ana who was sitting drinking tea in the kitchen turned her body around for a while only to see who came to visit the kitchen.
"Still want to have some tea for a while" Ana says.
Ana sees Marius picking up his alcohol glass, she thinks Marius must want to drink tonight.
"Here, don't drink anymore. I made tea. You will sleep well" said Ana, rising from her seat and looking for a cup of tea for Marius.
"Did Nora see you guys?" asked Marius as he continued to watch Ana making him a cup of warm tea.
"No. He didn't see it. He just passed by with his guards. I was afraid that Nora would see us. I'm afraid there's going to be a commotion. There's Rain there."
A cup of warm tea was ready in front of Marius. Ana sat back in her place. Marius inhaled the scent coming out of the tea before he sipped it. He was a little relaxed because of it.
"What happened to Nora? Why was Rain so scared when he saw her? I thought he had nothing to do with Rain?" asked Ana.
Marius sighed slowly before he replied. "I forgot to tell you that time. Nora's not a waiter."
Slowly, Marius explained everything to Ana about who Nora was as well as her suspicions to Nora who might have intimidated Rain all along.
Ana became angry when she heard it. His suspicions at the time were true.
No wonder for Marius that Nora is now free to roam around without fear of media reporters chasing her or the police who will arrest her. With the money and power Mr. Barnett had, of course, he could do anything to protect his only daughter.
And all Marius could do right now was be vigilant, protect Rain and possibly Ana from anything that would hurt them, including ... Nora.
"But I made sure Nora wouldn't be able to re-enter this house. Tian is a butler I can trust. He has a high level of integrity to his work, like his grandfather," Marius said with confidence.
"It means my job is to make Rain believe that he'll be well protected."
"We?"
"Yes, we. Don't take it all alone, Marius. Involve me to help you. I may not be good at many things. But, if it's about Rain, I can still handle it. Wouldn't you be able to run faster when the weight you carry is reduced? So, share with me. I'll help you."
Marius could never stop admiring the way Ana made him feel at ease with just a few words. And just now, he did it again. Marius' heart immediately felt warm.
Kruukk ...
Ana's face became even more reddened when she heard a loud voice coming out from inside her stomach.
Kruukk ...
"Jeez ... You are making a shame," the angry Ana who blames the worms on her stomach for causing the shameful sound.
Marius let out a small laugh seeing Ana's reaction and could immediately understand what sound she had just heard.
"Have you eaten yet?" asked Marius.
Ana shook her head with a pile of shame.
"Why didn't you eat that?" asked Marius, folding up his sleeve.
"I was just accompanying Rain to eat, for fear that she was still frightened," he replied softly.
"Wait there. I'll cook it for you."
"Huh? Uh ... No need."
But, Marius paid no heed to Ana. He just kept walking towards the fridge looking for the groceries he was going to use.
His hands that showed his muscles were moving nimbly as he cut through the groceries he had just picked up. Her wide back was constantly shown to Ana as she was moving up and down the pan she was holding.
Ana kept looking at Marius wherever the man moved. His eyes did not even blink looking at Marius who currently looked too cool in his eyes.
As the food was served, Ana's eyes could not stop staring at her. He even took out a camera to capture it.
"I never thought you could cook," said Ana who excitedly photographed a plate of pasta with a sprinkling of cheese on it.
Marius who had just returned to get Ana a glass of water just smiled at Ana's behavior. "Hurry up to eat, get cold" he said.
"Is ... edible?," asked Ana.
"I cooked it for you. If you can't eat it, who will?"
Ana gave her awkward laugh to answer Marius' question. He knew he was looking like a fool right now.
"Is there anything lacking?," asked Marius when he saw Ana had started eating the food.
"No, no. .. it feels good. But, why does it feel like I'm familiar?" asked Ana.
Marius just smiled. He took a piece of tissue at the end of the island kitchen, then gently removed the leftover food stuck to the tip of Ana's lips. "Slowly eating ..."
Suddenly, Ana stopped eating. "Wait ... Why does it taste like the pasta I often eat in Lorenzo Vins?"
"Because Lorenzo Vins is mine."
Ana looked suspiciously at Marius. "Don't .... all this time .. You cooked, huh?"
Marius nodded his head. "I learned to cook in France. Lorenzo is my teacher's name."
Ana became dumbfounded at Marius' explanation. He did suspect the restaurant belonged to Marius, but he never expected that Marius would cook it himself. How did he do all that while he himself was also busy with his company?
"I only cook when there is a reservation" Marius explained as if he knew what was inside Ana's cerebellum.
"It's worth it .. The restaurant always looks quiet. It turned out that the restaurant was opened not to make money, but only to channel hobbies. Basic!," muttered Ana.
Marius smiled at Ana's muttering. He landed his hand on Ana's head, then gently ruffled Ana's hair. "Quick spend it, before it gets cold" he said.
The whole time Ana was eating her food, Marius just smiled looking at Ana. In the past, when he could only look at her from a distance, it was never thought by him that he would have a moment like this with Ana. But now he has one.
