Babysitter For Rain

Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 60

Ana doesn't know if she should be grateful or sad about everything Marius did for her. For him all Marius did was just put himself in a difficult position.

Marius once told him that Nora had a lot of unresolved legal issues. The media did not publish much because of the strong influence of his father. Therefore, the resolution of his case became unnoticed. So that over time it becomes forgotten and unkempt.

But that doesn't mean it just disappears. Nora just waiting for the validity of the case to run out, then she can be free from all charges. Which means, this case can appear at any time if someone wants it. And if at that time Marius had a relationship with Nora, wouldn't it just drag Marius even deeper?

"Why is your way of thinking so complicated?" asked Marius as he flicked his index finger at Ana's forehead.

"ouch! It hurts!," he exclaimed as he held his forehead.

"I've thought of everything. And I've prepared everything, what are you worried about?" asked Marius.

"How am I not worried? If you knew you guys were planning this, I would definitely reject it."

"Because of that, I don't want you to know."

Marius stroked Ana's hair, then took it a little for her to roll up behind her ear. But, Ana instead replied to him with a sharp look from both of her eyes.

"How much did you hide it from me?" he asked.

"I'm not hiding anything, Ana. I told you everything."

"lik! It can't be that easy. Just helping with a collaborative project? I know Mr. Barnett, too. He's not that easy to work with other people, if he doesn't profit much."

"Looks like a kiss just can't calm you down, huh. How about I just eat you?"

Marius immediately pushed Ana until the girl was lying on her bed. From below, Ana could see both of Marius' eyes staring at her with different gazes than usual. The gaze that locked Ana until she felt the heat all over her body. Ana could feel herself being made to resign in order to be pounced upon by a wolf who was hungry for her.

"Want you anything?"

Naomi's audible voice restraining her anger suddenly stopped the wolf's intent from pouncing on its prey. The little prey who saw the opportunity immediately pushed the wolf and hid behind Naomi.

"He wants to eat me" he said.

Naomi looked increasingly upset. "I thought you said you wanted to talk to him."

"I'm talking to him. Then you suddenly entered," answered Marius as he moved from Ana's bed.

"I'm here because you've been too long. You still have to go" Naomi said.

"Where?" This time Ana comes out from behind Naomi. He had just met Marius and this time would leave again. Suddenly, his heart felt disappointment.

"He still has to do a press conference. After that do the show in front of the camera," explained Naomi.

"the show? What show?," asked Ana who increasingly did not understand Naomi's intentions.

But Naomi did not answer Ana's question. "Just go there. Lucas was waiting for you. Let me explain the rest."

Marius answered nothing. He simply took his hand out of his pants pocket, then walked over to Ana. Gently, she kissed Ana's forehead.

"I'll be back tonight. Wait for me, yes," she said, then left Ana and Naomi in the room.

................

As Marius goes, Naomi explains everything to Ana. From that explanation, Ana can understand fully what is going on, including their plans.

"Marius did all of this because it was indeed the only way out that he had right now. Nora uses you to get Marius cornered, then has no choice but to follow her game. Therefore Marius allowed himself to get caught up in that game."

From the news about Rain and Valerie to the fans who are crazy in front of Ana's house, everything is the idea of Nora. The goal is only one, get Marius.

"He was at Marius' house once, he knew all the information Rain had from Eli as well as Dara. He has a lot of advantages" said Ana, looking anxious.

"She just needs to lead people's minds to be the same as her. That way, he would easily control the situation. Therefore, even though Marius and I have tried to stop all of that news, other news will appear in different media. In the end, all our efforts were in vain."

"What exactly is the deal?" asked Ana.

"Only ordinary cooperation agreement. No problem with the deal. Nora knows Marius is smart. He thought Marius would definitely be able to guess he was the culprit. And Marius will meet him to beg him."

"But he miscalculated. Marius went straight to his father and proposed the cooperation. Marius simply exchanged the cooperation offers of several projects with Nora's status as his fiancee for a year. And Mr. Barnett agreed to it."

"Is it really that easy?" asked Ana. It was hard for him to believe that what Marius said was true.

"It's not that easy, Ana. All because of the greatness of Marius negotiating. He has prepared everything. But, if you look at the value of the shares of the two companies after the announcement to increase sharply, I'm sure Mr. Barnett will also not feel any loss with the agreement."

"Then, Rain how about after this? After they got engaged, didn't that mean that Nora would be more free in and out of Marius' house?" asked Ana. He grew increasingly anxious thinking about how Rain would be alone there.

"It seems like your conversation hasn't been there yet. He should have asked you to stay at his house for a while."

"Me?"

"In the meantime, Om Doni will be sent overseas to avoid Nora's next threat. About the company, Marius has prepared someone to represent him here, while the rest will be taken care of remotely."

"She's gonna need you to be with Rain, too. Because after this covenant, Marius will be very busy with all his work. He was also worried about Rain. He was afraid that his surveillance would be as weak again as it used to be. He hasn't said anything about this?"

Ana shook her head. "He didn't say anything. She just teases me often," Ana scolded.

Naomi took her breath. "He can't take you back. You and Om Doni just got together. The old boy always said that to me while planning this."

"Marius fool ...," said Ana Lirih.

Ana becomes annoyed at Marius because she has to listen to this not from Marius himself. He was upset that Marius was still thinking of himself but not of himself. Even if he wanted to protect her, wouldn't he have to protect himself as well? Does he consider himself a superhero?

......................

A very large room in a luxury hotel is now being filled with people. Someone brought a camera. Someone brought his writing equipment. They are all ready in their respective positions.

The video camera does not stop recording, nor does the photo camera. The shock sound of the blitz lamp is continuously unpretentious without stopping. Those who use the camera continue to give instructions without hesitation.

"Yeah, big smile, yeah"

"Could you please kinda go to the left a bit?"

"Yes, right. Kind of close, yeah."

Marius and Nora who were standing on the stage could only obey all those instructions. Nora looked really happy, but Marius, she seemed lazy to do this.

"Smile a little, baby. They need good photos for our engagement news" Nora said half-whispering so that only Marius could hear.

"The engagement is just status. After everything was done, there was no engagement," replied Marius ketus in a slightly soft tone.

"Do you think my father was a fool, Marius? He finally knows why you're doing this. And he asked me to keep you with me even until the wedding. He keeps praising me for doing a good job for him. I will of course do it with pleasure."

Marius hid his fist clasped so hard behind his body from the cameras of the reporters. He knew sooner or later Mr. Barnett would know this. He just didn't like it when Nora reminded him. When Nora said that, she felt like she was being pointed with a sharp sword towards her face.

"I told you once. I'll pay you ten times as much each time you touch my family."

"Hhmm .. I can't say that girl is your family, baby. Right now, if he were among us, people would just call him pe la cur."

"I decide who's my family, and who's just a pe la cur."
