CHAPTER 36

Ana was standing behind the kitchen door. His breathing was irregular, as he had just run. It's all because of Marius and Valerie.

Marius is in the workspace with Lucas and Valerie. Therefore, Ana decided to deliver her own breakfast and also medicine for Marius. When Ana was already standing in front of the door of Marius's study, Ana could listen to Valerie's cry inside. That's when Ana found out who Valerie was.

Ana knew she shouldn't have listened to that. But, how could Ana stand in the way? He only intended to deliver breakfast and medicine to Marius. And their voices suddenly rang out of the room.

Ana can only run away from the place when she hears Valerie yelling because Marius kicked her out. It was better than them to find him standing there.

Ana still managed to catch her breath while holding the tray that contained porridge and medicine on it. Several waiters and chefs on duty in the kitchen looked at Ana with confused and worried gazes. "Maybe they think I saw a ghost" Ana thought.

Ana sees Lucas returning to Marius's study. But the porridge that Ana brought might have started to cool. Ana decides to heat it up for a while before she delivers it back to Marius.

Ana's head continued to think of many things as she was waiting for the waiter to heat the porridge for Marius. He thought about the things he had heard.

Ana doesn't know much about Valerie, as she herself rarely keeps up with such entertainment news. But, he often heard his office friends talk about Valerie. That's where she found out about Valerie.

"Is this porridge for the Great Lord, Miss Ana?"

Marius's bedroom door was not closed when Ana entered it. Therefore, from the outside was heard the voices of Marius and Lucas.

Ana turns around with the tray leaving Marius and Lucas. But, it seems Marius noticed Ana's passing.

"Ana ... Where are you going?" called Marius.

With a furious look, Ana turned around and said to Marius. "I want to give it to the waiter. Because it looks like Lord Marius has already healed."

Ana did not want to wait for a response from Marius. He just turned around and left Marius' room.

Marius seemed to forget his headache, he quickly got up from his bed, left Lucas withholding his laughter, then went after Ana.

Marius immediately seized the tray Ana held. "I eat" he said.

Ana still threw her angry gaze at Marius. Marius felt guilty. "sorry. I was wrong" he said again.

Marius knew the cause of the girl was upset to see she was still working even though Valerie had gone home. She could see Ana's worries from last night as she waited by her bedside. Marius loved that form of attention. But, it turned out that he was also the one who made the girl angry.

After asking Lucas to go and finish the job he asked for, Marius immediately sat down to eat the porridge that Ana brought. While Ana waited for Marius beside her while preparing water and medicine for Marius.

When Marius was already on his bed, Ana was cleaning the table and preparing to bring the tray down. He was about to leave Marius to rest.

"You don't want to ask about Valerie?," Marius asked suddenly before Ana stepped on her foot.

Ana shook her head. "If you don't want a story, I won't ask you anything."

"If I wanted to tell you a story, would you like to hear it?"

"I'll hear. But after you rest. I can see it clearly, you endured all your pain to listen to Valerie. So, rest. You need a lot of rest. The doctor said so."

Marius looked at Ana who left her and disappeared from behind the door. There was a feeling of disappointment and sadness as Ana left.

"But I want you here" said Marius Lirih after sighing heavily. He knocked his body to the side on his padded mattress. Both of his eyes continued to stare towards the door with a sad look. He wished he could tell Ana directly.
