CHAPTER 71

Ana felt something heavy, moist, and hot in both eyes. Tears that should have come out were even stuck inside, maybe that's what caused both eyes to now feel swollen.

He slowly opened his eyes. Then, he tried to sit on his bed. He tried to recall what happened before he went to sleep.

"Rain ...," he called her down.

Her tears flowed down from both of her eyes. Now, he was increasingly unable to stop his tears from flowing.

"Are you conscious?" asked Marius. As Ana turned her head towards him, she saw Marius had just entered her room while carrying a handsome meal. Maybe it was for him.

"Magar ... How's Rain? What happened to Rain?," asked Ana without giving a pause in each question.

Marius placed the food tray on the nightstand near Ana's bed. Her right hand grabbed Ana's face and wiped away the tears that had fallen with her thumb, while her left hand gently grasped Ana's fingers.

"Ana ... calm down first," persuaded Marius gently. "You eat first. We'll talk after you eat something."

Ana shook her head. "You heard it yourself, didn't you yesterday? Rain was even so afraid of imagining Valerie would take him. But why ... why now ...? Rain couldn't possibly change his mind that quickly, Marius. I know he ...."

"I heard it too. I don't know you either, Ana."

Once again, Marius wiped away Ana's tears. "I've ordered David to check all the CCTVs. David even checked all the bodyguards, as well as Tian. But, there's nothing. They're all clean."

"Do you suspect Nora of doing something, so you check everything?" asked Ana.

"The lawyer Valerie brought in was an ARK lawyer. Nora must be involved."

"But Rain ..."

"Okay, that's enough. You eat first. We'll think about it later after you eat. The doctor gave me medicine. You still have to drink it after you eat."

Marius took out a tray of food and placed it on the bed. She feeds Ana, and Ana does not reject her. Marius breathed a sigh of relief. "At least, he still wants to eat," he thought.

"Therefore he looked so confused earlier. I couldn't understand what he was thinking when he saw the look on his face. Now ... I, I can understand it ... But, for what ..."

Marius once again wiped away Ana's tear-eye that had come back down. He guided Ana's face to fully look at her.

"We'll bring him back here. Believe me .." said Marius.

After Marius gave her a sedative given by the doctor, Ana finally fell asleep again. Marius was still with Ana for a while. He still kept looking at Ana's face as the girl fell asleep.

Shortly after, Marius exits Ana's room, after she kisses Ana's forehead. She hoped, Ana's feelings would get better tomorrow morning.

This morning was so sad for Ana. Especially when she recalled that this was the first day Rain slept in an unfamiliar place.

"Well how was the morning today?" Ana thought as she looked at the view of Marius' backyard from her bedroom window.

Ana's reverie leaves her unaware of Marius' arrival. He was still enjoying the sight, as Marius sat beside him. Ana immediately looked at him as soon as she noticed it.

"How are you feeling? Do you need anything?" asked Marius.

Ana shook her head. "I'm fine" he said, showing a smile on his face to ease Marius's worry.

"You sure you're okay?" asked Marius, whom Ana answered with a nod of her head.

"Go take a shower and have breakfast. I've ordered Tian to prepare breakfast for you. They will bring it for you in a moment" said Marius.

"You didn't have breakfast?"

"I'll have breakfast at the office. I have to go to the office today" Marius said.

"Don't worry about Rain. They almost found a way out. Have some patience, yes," said Marius. His face still reflected his worry.

"I'm okay. Don'worry. Go," said Ana who also saw the worry on Marius's face.

Ana rested her hands on Marius's face. He looked well at the man's face. Then Ana kissed her cheek.

Marius leaves shortly after he says goodbye to Ana. Ana, as Marius asked. He's getting ready for breakfast.

After breakfast, Ana comes to Rain's room. He wanted to take a look around Rain's room when the owner wasn't home. Thus, he thought it might be able to treat his longing.

He slowly noticed Rain's belongings. Toys, stationery, picture books, even her clothes.

She hugged Rain's clothes, smelling her smell as if she felt Rain hugging her. Then cry again as he remembers what happened yesterday.

After putting Rain's clothes on, he saw Rain's ipad on the bookshelf that held Rain's favorite fairy tale books.

Ana once asked Marius for an ipad for Rain. He downloads some of Rain's favorite games, videos, and songs. Sometimes Rain would play it when he got tired of playing outside or drawing.

Ana knew inside were some pictures of Rain. Because the little girl loves to take pictures and videos with her ipad. Therefore, Ana wanted to take a look back at those images.

But ... "There's something strange about this ipad ...," Ana thought after she opened it and looked at the contents inside.

Ana knows very well what applications are in it, because she herself chose and stored it inside. But, why does it feel like there are apps that shouldn't be on the inside? Some apps also seem to be missing.

Obviously, Rain is unlikely to be able to remove or add apps in it. Because Ana put a password and hid the download application so that it is not visible to Rain.

Ana was also the one who every time Rain used this, she would always be beside him accompanying him to play. So, he knew clearly, how Rain was playing it.

Ana thought about checking the videos stored in the storage folder. It was empty ...

But, that folder only holds a video. There is a video caption next to it, the duration is only 30 seconds. Ana presses the play button to play it.

The video shows several scenes from different animated titles. Nothing was changed from the scene. They are only cut in certain parts like wanting to show something.

Then, the image piece is now accompanied by a dialogue. Still the same, the sound used is a sound piece of children's animated characters that form a sentence that is very clear meaning.

"Follow me ... I hurt .. your .. daddy and mommy ... Lalalaland ..."

Ana covered her mouth with both of her hands to cover up her shock. Ana can't believe this video is inside that ipad. He was sure Rain would have watched it. Therefore he was terrified, finally coming downstairs and seeing the quarrel.

"Nora ... only Nora could think of something like this ...," Ana said.

His breath continues to hunt. Between the shock and the emotion of thinking about Nora who is sure to be the culprit, Ana's heart continues to work hard so she can't control her breathing.

"I have to say this to Marius" Ana said.

But, a second later ...

"No .. no ... Marius already had a lot of things to do. I can't keep bothering him."

Ana has no choice but to meet Nora herself. He wanted to ask the evil woman directly.

Ana immediately headed to her room to pick up her bag and her cell phone. Carrying the ipad, he immediately got down and rushed off.

"Sorry, Miss Ana. But, Lord Marius forbade me to let Miss leave the house alone," David said preventing Ana from stepping out of the gate of Marius' house.

Ana looked at David with an anxious look.

"How can I go if David gets in my way? If Marius had known, he would have prevented me from leaving."
