Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 2

Ana just finished a meeting with one of her clients. This morning, Ana was forced to ask permission not to enter the office today. But because of her sense of responsibility as team leader for one of her company's important projects, Ana felt compelled to attend the meeting.

Ana is a regular employee at a middle-class digital marketing company. Before Ana graduated from college, her father repeatedly asked Ana to work at his company, so that later Ana could take over the company. However, Ana always refused her papa's request. As a result, they were often involved in father-daughter quarrels whenever discussing the matter.

Not without reason Ana chose to work outside her papa-owned company. Ana wants to gain experience before she takes care of her papa company, so that later Ana can overcome all the problems that exist in the company.

In addition, she knew the real reason why her papa insisted so much for Ana to work there. Because Ana is the only child. And that was enough of a reason for her papa to always worry about Ana wherever she was. Especially after her late mother died when Ana was 5 years old, her father always promised his late mother to protect and protect Ana.

And now, Ana who was sitting in a coffee shop after finishing her meeting, was staring at the coffee cup in front of her. He still doesn't think about what his father has done. Ana's heart still holds anger over what happened this morning. As soon as she recalled the message her father sent, Ana's anger also rose again. Ana regrets the decision of her father who chose to go looking for the impostor and leave Ana alone to face the loan sharks.

"Bhh ... Please .. please ..."

Suddenly Ana hears the cry of a woman asking for help. The woman's voice sounded so frightened that it caused Ana to stand up from her place and look for the origin of the voice. Some of the people on the streets were also looking for the origin of the sound and started crowding the streets.

From a distance Ana sees a woman holding a daughter. Beside him was a man pulling a girl who was being held by the woman. Another man was waiting on his motorbike which was still on and seemed ready to leave.

Ana watched the child who was being carried by the woman. The boy continued to cry and muttered to beat the face and head of the man in front of him with his small hands. A second later, Ana realizes that what she is seeing right now is an attempted kidnapping.

Some people had already come forward wanting to help, but the threat of motorized men made them retreat and no one dared to interfere. At that moment, Ana decided to come forward to save them.

Ana runs towards them, then throws one of her shoes and hits the head of the man pulling the child's arm. The woman nearby quickly responded and immediately took her daughter away. The man wanted to chase the woman who had run away, but at the same time a group of men in black suits came after him. The man immediately decided to ride the motorcycle.

The motorized man who saw that immediately plugged his gas towards Ana.

Ana prepared with the bag in her hand, then circled her body in a semicircle while weaving her bag towards the front. When the motorized man began to approach, Ana's bag directly hit the motorized man's face until he fell from his motorbike.

The motorized man and the other man tried to escape by riding their motorbike back. Before they did, Ana beat them continuously with her bag. And by shielding their heads from Ana's bag, their motor continues to drive away from Ana.

Some people clapped with Ana's action, while Ana was busy picking up her shoes that had fallen off somewhere. A group of men in black suits had arrived at the scene, but unfortunately the kidnappers were gone.

"Thank you for saving our Young Miss."

"Together, I just happened to pass by," Ana said.

"Our master wants to meet you and say thank you" the man said again.

"Oh, no. I'm sorry, but I still have other needs" Ana refused.

Ana handed a piece of paper to the man before her. "This. I have written some information about the men. There are license plates, features, and some other information I can see earlier. The rest can ask the woman who carried it, or check the CCTV in this area."

Ana left the group of men in black suits after they repeatedly thanked her.

Later that night, Ana was standing in front of her bedroom window. The night sky is full of clouds covering the stars. "It looks like it's going to rain" Ana said in her heart.

Ana reread the message her father sent this morning. It still held anger in his heart, though not as great as before. Ana only felt her anger would not change what had already happened.

Ana also thought about her father's request to leave this house. But, for Ana to hide will only make Ana continue to be shaded by fear wherever she goes. All Ana could do now was face it. Ana will bear the debts as a form of obligation to her own father.

"May they give me some leeway."

Ana typed a few words to reply to her papa's message.

"Ana won't be like papa. Ana will face."

After which, Ana took a deep breath and exhaled. Ana's heart was ready to face everything.

"Whatever happens tomorrow, happens" said Ana with a keen gaze looking up at the night sky through her bedroom window.
