CHAPTER 72

"Sorry, Miss Ana. But, Lord Marius forbade me to let Miss leave the house alone," David said preventing Ana from stepping out of the gate of Marius' house.

"Don't say anything to Marius. I just wanted to see Nora," Ana said.

"Miss Nora? Sorry, Miss Ana. I can't let Miss Ana go, let alone to see Miss Nora."

"I beg you, let me go" said Ana.

David seemed to have a hard time rejecting Ana's request when the girl showed such a parsimonious look.

"Only if Miss Ana goes with me and a few bodyguards" David said unequivocally.

"You, you just. That's enough. Yeah?" haggled Ana.

Ana had no other choice. That way is better than nothing. David finally agreed.

"Please ask them to find out where Nora is. I know Marius has a team for that" Ana once again pinta.

David immediately does what Ana asks while preparing a car that will take them. But unbeknownst to Ana, David tells Marius.

"Take him wherever he wants. But, whatever happens, protect him, David." That message.

Ana waited long enough for Nora to get out of Mr. Barnett's house. During that time he waited in the car as he continued to stare straight at the gate of Nora's father's house.

Ana plans to wait for Nora to come out of her house, then block her right at that moment. He did not want to barge in and get her stuck in it along with Nora's bodyguards.

Because right now, it's just him and David. If he were to force his way into the house now, it would end up only endangering David.

The wait turns out not to be too long. The gate finally opened. That means someone will come out. When Ana sees the porch of the house, Nora is out of her house and into her car. Ana got off the car.

Shortly after, I don't know how many, but it seems like almost all of Nora's bodyguards came out and stood behind Nora. Some of them advanced around Ana and David.

"Now" said David slowly.

Ana doesn't know what David means. But, after David said so, there were many Marius bodyguards coming who were out of nowhere, then standing behind Ana.

Now the number of bodyguards standing behind Nora and Ana were just as numerous. Nora's bodyguards, who had been surrounding Ana, were forced to retreat a few steps, as Marius' bodyguards continued to urge them to retreat.

"I'm sorry, Miss Ana. I had to do this" David said.

Ana can't say anything. David was just doing his job. If Marius is going to scold David, Ana is ready to defend him. But, for now, let him satisfy his heart to talk to Nora.

Ana then throws the iPad at Nora's car. He didn't care if the black Porsche was abrasive because of the throw.

Nora suddenly laughed out loud. Ana's countenance did not change in the slightest even though Nora's laughter sounded quite terrifying.

"You just want to ask that, Ana? You came here, with a lot of bodyguards with you, I thought you were going to do something amazing. Haha ... But it turns out you're still too naive, Ana."

"Yes, you're right. I ordered my lawyer to exchange the boy's iPad for this iPad, so I could get my message across. He's a smart kid. Even with that snippet of image, he could well understand my point. Haha ...."

"Are you going to let him hurt me? You all want to get fired?" cried Nora.

Nora's bodyguards are getting stronger pushing. The situation between them is starting to heat up.

"Miss Ana, we better get out of here" whispered David.

"Listen, Nora. I will never forgive all you did to Rain, both then and now. I'll make sure your life is as low as yours right now. That's why you, are not much different from a low-class woman, even if you live in a luxurious house and have a distinguished family name."

"NAMEUR ..." Nora shouted very loudly venting all her anger. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

The sharp gazes from Ana's eyes did not change at all despite Nora threatening her. Even as David pushed Ana back away from Nora, Ana still continued to stare at her.

As David and Ana retreat slowly, Marius' bodyguards move forward to protect David who takes Ana away from there. The pushing finally happened. But then Marius' other bodyguards came again and gave help to those who were dealing with Nora's bodyguards.

Now, the gates of Nora's house are full of Marius' men covering the entrance and exit of the house. And when Ana enters the car, Ana can hear Nora's angry screams even from inside the car.

David ordered the driver to drive the car they were riding first so that they immediately left the place. But, what Ana thought were those who were still there.

"What about the others? Will they be okay?" he asked.

"Don't worry, Miss Ana. There's my deputy there. He knows what he has to do" David said.

"They ... won't get hurt, right?"

"There will be no fighting, Miss Ana. They're outnumbered."
