Babysitter For Rain
CHAPTER 5

As usual, while Rain was working on something in her room, Ana would go to the kitchen to get him something. For this time, Rain wants orange juice and a little chocolate candy.

For almost a week Ana has been staying at Marius' house as Rain's nanny. Or maybe a playmate? I don't know, Ana herself was also confused as to what her task was.

Rain is also unlike other kids who like to play outdoors. She spends more time with activities that she can do herself in her room, such as watching TV, drawing, or playing dolls.

"Didn't she get bored just playing inside her room constantly?," Inner Ana.

Marius was at home in the morning and at night. In the morning after breakfast he will take office briefly from his study, only before lunch he will go out, whether it is to the office or meet clients. Marius was at home probably around 11 p.m., and Rain was already sleeping.

Sometimes the little time he had for Rain made him feel guilty. "Maybe it's true what the psychiatrist said, Rain is less attentive than me," said Marius regretting himself.

Perhaps because of that too, Marius often went to Rain's room every night before he went to his room upstairs. Ana once peeked out from behind her bedroom door and saw Marius walking out of Rain's room.

Marius even employed many servants in his house, because the house Marius had occupied since birth was a relic of his grandfather. It takes a lot of servants to take care of it. Ana had no idea how many servants there were in this house. Clearly, wherever Ana went, there were at least four or five maids on duty in one room or area nearby.

But, even though there were a lot of servants in this house, Ana had never seen any maids who had Rain chat or joke with her. The maids would only talk as they did their duty, such as reminding to eat or asking Rain something she wanted. Moreover, they would remain silent and ignore him even though Rain was near them.

Rain was like a display placed inside a glass box. Everyone knew he was there, but no one asked him to talk or listen to him. For some occasions, they might see it, but it was only a few moments. After that, they ignored him again.

Rain himself had already tried to try to talk to them, but a second later he paused. In the end, neither of the servants nor Rain would anyone start first to speak. They are used to ignoring each other.

"Rain's timid nature did not give him the courage to speak. And the servants will just continue to ignore it. Rain would only be a princess inside the magnificent palace without anyone with her," Ana thought.

Eli was not much help either. Eli is the butler whose job is to manage all the servants in Marius' house. Marius said Eli had been serving the Hadinata family since he was 19 years old. At that time his mother was a butler who had served since Marius' grandfather was alive.

"Eli has been working here for a long time, shouldn't he know more about Rain? She should have been closer to Rain compared to the other maids," Ana said wondering to herself.

Moreover, all the tasks were done by the servants, and Eli simply arranged their tasks. Eli and Rain spoke less and less.

"Do you know Miss Rain's new nanny?"

"Oh yeah, listen, she said this nanny was different from the previous nanny."

This time Ana heard the voice of a different servant.

"Right, he said he was recruited by Mr. Marius himself, not recruited by Miss Eli."

"Any right, it's not usual for Mr. Marius to recruit his own household employees."

Ana could not hear the next words the maid wanted to say. It seems they are whispering. A few seconds later, the two laughed.

Ana is eager to meet and ask their problems, but Ana's legs are held back quite strongly. Although Ana's annoyance and anger continued to rise when she heard them laughing, Ana continued to hold back her anger, and left them.

When Ana returns to Rain's room, the boy is usually watching her favorite TV show. If you are watching, you will sit in front of the TV until the show is over. Every now and then he would stand up following the movements of the characters within.

If so, Rain's behavior can be very adorable. Ana always wanted to hug the child so much that Ana was anxious with Rain. But, then he realized his position and tried his utmost to hold back that desire. It felt so hard to imagine Rain being so adorable was such a shy kid.

Supposedly today was Rain's schedule to pre-school her, but Eli said for 2 weeks this Marius asked her to rest at home. When Ana asks the reason why, Eli does not explain clearly. "Miss Rain just needs a break" she said. Ana also did not want to force him anymore.

While waiting for Rain who was watching, Ana's head continued to let out many questions from what she had heard earlier.

What happened to the previous nanny? Why was he fired? Why no one feels at home as Rain's nanny, whereas from his observations these few days, Rain is not a difficult child. If the three-month curse was true, would Ana be able to survive? If not, what will happen to your debts?

And also, it was true what the two maids said, why did Ana get such a special room? Why is Ana allowed to eat with Rain and Marius? What makes Ana special? It would be ridiculous if because Ana was in debt. Because it seemed, they did not know the reason Ana could be the nanny for Rain.
