04. Dividing Tasks
"So we'll collect less material first" Nata said as they held a meeting after lunch at Lucia's tent two days later.
"Are there any materials we forgot to buy?" Madron asked.
"It's not so, Mr. Madron. We don't buy these materials. Because we already have it in this place. We just need to collect it" Nata replied later.
"You mean by mining it yourself? Would it not take more time and money? Is it not easier to buy? Will we be able to complete the construction of the steam train crossing in a timely manner?" Sounds like Dirk's riled up. He was worried that the retreat of the construction of the steam train crossing would mean the retreat of Nata's promise to repay all their loans within 20 months.
"Your concern is reasoned by Mr. Dirk, but trust me, we will all be done on time" Nata replied trying to convince Dirk.
"Indeed how long do we need to mine these materials?" This time Madron asked.
"Our target is no more than 3 months" Nata quickly replied.
"Only in three months? What ingredients are you really looking for?" Madron interjected again, knowing that three months was too soon for mining.
"Many actually, such as limestone, volcanic sand, volcanic rock, and so forth. Those materials are actually easy to get. We don't have to dig it up, except for the Cyla Crystal" Nata explained.
"And what are these ingredients for? Is the material important and can it be built?" Dirk changed to ask.
"That's the materials to make cement and concrete" Aksa chirped suddenly.
"Cemen? Concrete?" It sounded like Dirk did not understand the word Aksa had just said.
"All that material is very important, Mr. Dirk. That material is our basic material for building all the things we need on this land. From these materials we will make a stronger wall. More resistant in all weather" said Nata returned the topic of the conversation from Aksa's curse.
"Oh, stronger than the palace walls?" Dirk asked ascertain, representing a sense of disbelief that was also felt by others.
"I don't know what the palace walls are like. But the wall built with these materials will be more sturdy than the fort walls if we equalize the size of the thickness" explained Nata later.
"Is that so? Well I understand now" Dirk seems to stop arguing Nata when Nata has started to issue new knowledge and techniques that are more efficient than ever before.
"Therefore we need to divide ourselves into two groups. First to make an expedition to the east side. To start mining the materials we need earlier" Nata briefly searched his words. "The second group remains here to get the equipment ready and handle matters with outsiders" he said.
People were seen nodding, though they did not understand exactly what Nata had just explained.
"The group that will be heading east for mining is; Aksa, Mr. Couran, Lily, Loujze, Huebert, Deuxter, and Ms. Elaine" Nata explained later.
"Call me Go" Go cut.
"Sorry, Go. And will come with them 50 people" Nata said, then continued.
"For the group that is here will also start us to divide so that the work can be more organized and effective" added Nata again.
And then Nata began to divide the task for the people who were in the land of Pharos.
"mr Haldin, Val, and twenty craftsmen were tasked with completing the construction of the steam train and its rails" Nata read the notes in a paper roll he held.
Haldin and Val simply nodded without answering.
"Miss Ellian and fifteen botanical members were tasked with preparing the seed and the seed as written in the list I gave before" Nata continued.
"I understand" replied Ellian.
"mr Selene and Mr. Lumire and the family will be responsible for dealing with the animal matter. Whether it is a wild animal or a farm animal. Starting from making a place of maintenance, to looking for seeds of livestock" Nata went again.
"Whoever we understand" Lumire replied.
"Miss Luna will communicate with Mr. Madron and Mr. Dirk to begin building an information and trade network. For now, our priority is to create a network to bring in building materials, minerals that I have ordered before, and plant and animal seeds that are needed by Miss Ellian and Mr. Selene" Nata continued reading the paper roll.
Luna, Madron, and Dirk just nodded small without answering.
"For Miss Helen and her knights will be responsible for the exploration and examination of the area. And do cleaning the area if needed" continued Nata later.
"Sorry Lord Nata" interrupted Helen in response to the task Nata had given her.
"Yes Miss Helen?"
"To do the clearing of the area it seems my knights will not be enough to do so. Because I will also divide my knights into two groups. The first is to protect this place. Because we don't want to risk a surprise attack like we had on the Rusty Slope yesterday" explained Helen at length. "and for the rest it would be too dangerous to clean the area. If only just doing exploration and inspection of the area we can still do it" he added later.
