The Thousand Year Dynasty
21. Meeting The King

In the morning they were surprised by dozens of soldiers who came to the residence of Lucia. They invited the king to come to the palace.

"So what's this about, Mr Orland? Why should we also go to see the king?" Tanya Nata looked worried.

"Did Lucia's daughter tell us about us to the king?" Ask Aksa who is equally worried.

"I didn't tell you anything about the two of you" Lucia replied, "but I told Miss Lily about it to Uncle Sebastian. That's because he won't let go of the land of Pharos because it worries about my safety." Continue with the defense. "Then I have to tell you about Miss Lily's whereabouts for uncle to feel calm releasing me. I'm sorry Miss Lily" he concluded with regret and guilt.

"It's okay princess" Lily replied gently.

"So the main reason the king only wanted to meet Lily. So we don't have to come, do we?" Nata tries to avoid.

"It's an honor to meet the king in person" Jean said later.

"Serem knew he had to meet the king. Where we don't know the royal order. We may be beheaded again for being disrespectful to the king"

"Oh, that's right" said Jean, who had just realized this.

"The king invited everyone without exception. Rejecting the king's invitation is as disrespectful to him" this time Cornelius said.

"Obviously you'll just shut up and follow what we're doing" Jean said.

"Worrying" Aksa replied.

And it did not take long for them to finally arrive at the gate of the royal palace. They rode on Lucia's long and luxurious noble chariot. In the chariot were Aksa, Nata, Lily, Jean, and Lucia. Orland and Cornelius rode in a chariot behind him.

"Wow, that's magnificent. How long have they been building this palace?" Aksa asked as they passed through the magnificent-looking palace gate.

"Twelve years" replied Jean.

"Over"

"What tower is that?" Nata asked when he found a tall tower towering to the west of the palace.

"That's the tower of the Falling Star temple" still Jean replied.

"Oh, the Falling Star temple. Is the tower used as a stargazer?" Guess Nata.

"really. Here the priests of the Falling Star temple used the stars to foretell the future" Jean replied.

"Horoscope forecast?" Chirps Aksa asked.

"You mean?" Jean asked who did not understand what Aksa was saying.

"Did they draw a map of the sky?" Ask Nata later.

"True" this time Lily answered. Nata seemed to understand.

"The men used the refrigerator door as a shield, Nat" Aksa said suddenly when he saw some soldiers standing guard on the side of the road carrying a shield from an iron plate with a size almost as big as his body.

Then they entered the grand hall before heading to the throne room. There were some old priests standing around the hall.

And the thing that made Aksa and Nata's entourage surprised was; the old priests immediately knelt when they saw Lily walking among the entourage.

Seeing some old priests kneeling down, made the soldiers and some people who might be palace servants or nobles who were in that place kneel down.

"Please Miss Lilian" said one of the throne room's doorkeepers who let Lily still kneel.

"Wow, Lily is really a legend as it turns out" said Aksa.

Arriving in the throne room, there appeared a man in a shiny yellow-golden knight dress with a beautiful velvet robe in red. Also a crown on his head, seemed to sit on the throne at the end of the room. It was the clothes the king wore while welcoming important guests. Eight people stood before him.

Jean held Aksa's body as she and Nata were about to kneel.

"Welcome back, Miss Lilian the White Lightning" said the king as he stood up. The ones who were followed by the ones who were on their knees now stood up again.

"May the king live well" said Lily who then knelt before the king. This time it was followed by the people in Lily's entourage.

This time Jean pulls Aksa's body down on her knees which is followed by Nata later.

"Rise up" said the king later. "I don't think I can still meet you, Miss Lilian. And is it true that you showed up again at the request of the Oracle?"

"Truly the young king. I returned to this central plain because the Oracle asked. And to dispel any misunderstanding that may occur, that I do not return to this kingdom"

"Wow, Lily said so strongly to the king" whispered Aksa.

"I understand Miss Lilian. I understand that. I'm calling you here because I want to welcome you and your partner. As a form of respect and our thanks for keeping Lucia all this time"

"Thank you again, I appreciate that"

"And in the future, I beg you to be ready to protect Lucia"

"I will do everything I can to protect the princess"

"thank you. I'm grateful and at ease that Lucia is with you"

-

And after some discussion of the present situation and hopes, they finally left the palace.

"Good thing the king didn't notice us. He's just focused on Lily"

"Daughter, may I ask you a question"

"Is that Miss Lily?"

"Who was Seithr next to His Majesty the king?"

"Oh, that's Mr. Seifer, Uncle Sebastian's new advisor"

"There were Seithrites? How come I didn't notice? I want to see how she looks"

"That's because Seithr's man was next to His Majesty the king. And you even look at the throne just don't dare" Jean said.

"No one said we could look ahead. Fear will be considered impolite, continue if until we are beheaded how?"

"About Mr. Seifer, why is Miss Lily asking?" Lucia interrupted with a question.

"The power of his Soul stream was great and pressing. Maybe he's a Magus, or even a Sage"

"really? But even though he was a Seithr, yet he looked young. It's amazing how old he is now that he's Magus"

"What happened to that guy Lily?" Asked Nata who saw it looks like someone hooked Lily.

"The Soul Flow she has reminds me of something" replied Lily who still seemed to be thinking about something.

"Then is it possible that you can give me permission to see the palace library, princess?" Aksa interrupted with a question.

"I'll try Aks, but before, I want you to meet my relatives first. I think they need to be convinced"
