The Thousand Year Dynasty

The Thousand Year Dynasty
13. Great Offensive

At Lucia's residence two weeks after they sent Urbar a second warrant.

The meeting was held again to discuss the strategies they will do in response to the current situation.

"It appears that an army of over a thousand soldiers marched towards the encampment in front of the south gate" Caspian reported. "In the meantime there were about thirty ships heading to the west coast, as well as fifteen ships heading towards the east coast" he added.

"It looks like your provocation is potent, Nat" said Aksa.

"Are you sure about all this, Nat?" Lucia sounds very worried. He sat next to Orland at a long table in the living room.

Others were also visibly alarmed after hearing reports of opposing soldiers being sent to attack the ground.

Amithy, who was sitting next to Orland, was seen repeatedly biting her lips in agitation.

The rest, like the nobles, the knights, and some members of the Fire Star, seemed to be silent. But their faces also looked tense.

"Well, like I said before. It's full of risk. But now that we know, what kind of person we are dealing with" Nata smiled slightly as he replied.

"Then how do we deal with them, Mr Nata?" Caspian asked who also looked worried. "If only a hundred soldiers like the one we've been trying to stop at the south gate anyway, we can still. But for a thousand more soldiers?" Imbuhnya.

"Don't worry, Mr. Caspian. The number of troops of any size will have no effect if not in the field of battle. What we're going to go through now is, a race of who can last longer" Nata replied from his seat next to Aksa, across from Caspian. "Our gates, or the continuous attacks of many of these soldiers" he added.

"But don't forget that they still have Champions with mystical weapons" this time Jean interjected.

"really. That's what concerns me. Because they were the ones who might be able to reverse the course of our battle" Nata responded to Jean's remark.

"Then how?" This time Lucia asked who looked increasingly worried.

"We will stay afloat and try to reduce their strength until the Mystic-armed Champions appear" Nata answered Lucia's question. "Then we'll beat them before we start counter-attacking" he added lightly.

"How can we defeat the Champion with mystic weapons?" Cedrik who now asked, after he heard Nata's tone that seemed relaxed earlier.

"With reason" Aksa chirped suddenly.

"really. We once defeated witches with impenetrable protective magic. Even without magic, right? That means, we can beat him again" Nata replied optimistically. "Again, this time we have enough time to prepare for them" he added.

After seeing Nata's gestures and style of speaking, Lucia seemed to start to calm down a bit. He knows, that means Nata already has a plan to overcome the situation that is happening now.

"By the way, there are mystic weapon-wielding Champions they have?" Ask Nata after that.

"According to the information we got, they were twelve" Caspian replied briefly.

"Are they twelve commanders as you have told them before?" Nata asked Caspian to make sure.

"No. Twelve more of them. So the Urbar kingdom has twelve generals who have warlord status, and twelve generals who have Champion titles" Capian explained later.

"They love creating groups with twelve members. Sixteen mending" chirped Aksa.

"That means if it is divided equally, there will likely be four mystical armed Champions in each army on all three sides of the gate" said Nata who was then seen silently thinking. "Do you think you can take care of the one on the west side, Aks?" Ask Aksa later.

"I guess as long as they are still at sea, I can still handle it" Aksa replied in a tone that seemed to be blocking the 30 ships was not a big thing.

"But, can't we just finish one ship, Aks? They were thirty ships" Lucia reminded, that Aksa would be in one versus thirty condition.

Lucia seemed hesitant to respond to Aksa's reply. "Are you sure?" Ask later.

"You are very insulting to worry about this messenger of the gods" said Aksa with a look of disdain that looks very annoying to Lucia.

"All right then. Aksa will take care of the troops that will attack through the west coast. While on the east coast, we will leave it entirely to the Yllgarians" Nata said explaining his plan. "We will leave half the soldiers, and lord Cedrik will lead him to secure the north side and the inner region" he added.

"Then we, the warrior leaders? What do we have to do? Where will we be stationed?" Caspian asked.

"You will be with me. We will intercept the troops on the south side" Nata replied later.

The next day Nata and Lucia were already on top of the cliff wall of the south gate monitoring the situation. The knights and some magicians seemed to be beside them.

They are Caspian, Jean, Helen, Vossler, Parpera, Lily, and some of the knights and witches subordinate to Vossler and Hellen.

Seen even though it was still from far away, the encampment of the Urbar kingdom army seemed to be getting bigger. Some stone throwing tools also appear towering among them.

Lucia seemed to be observing from behind her binoculars.

This time Lucia no longer wore her noble knight clothes that were as red and yellow as before.

This time he was wearing new clothes. The protective clothing that was also worn by all the knights, witches, and soldiers. Made by the craftsmen of the Eastern Star who assisted the weavers of the Tempest tribe in the last month and a half.

Ranging from long-sleeved shirts, to trousers, all are dull black. Doesn't look bright at all. Then in the usual part attached iron plate, now replaced with a leather jacket. Like the leather jackets of hunters, it's just a little thicker.

With gold accents on the chest, collar, shoulders, and arms. That looks like a noble knight's suit in general, and not like a protective suit for battle.

"Are you sure this outfit is stronger than a protective iron plate?" Ask Jean who also wears similar clothes, only different shapes and styles. The female knight was not only worried about her safety, but also Lucia.

"Just calm down, Jean. These garments are made from woven Dracz metal fibers, then coated with silicon powder from quartz crystals mixed with resin or tree sap. Even a bullet from our firearm won't easily penetrate it. Moreover, the arrow or just a sword" explained Nata while touching the clothes he was wearing. The same as the clothes worn by others.

"really? This thing was not as heavy and hard as armor or an iron plate" Helen looked uncomfortable as she was unsure whether the thin clothes could actually protect her in the battlefield like the armor she used to wear.

"Just calm down, Miss Helen. Even the leather part of the jacket is from the Antelope Cinder skin. Which is resistant to fire. Yes, it may also be resistant to fire magic" Nata again assured Helen and the others. "Perhaps the drawback is that it feels a little hot, due to the lack of air circulation of these clothes" he added later.

"Antelope Skin Cinder?" Caspian's looks and some people sounded amazed as Nata explained that their clothing material was from the skin of a mystical beast.

Lucia dropped her binoculars. "I don't think they're messing around to hit this gate all-out" he said later with an agitated face.

"We will also not play games to defend this gate" replied Nata who this time instead observed the opposing forces with binoculars. "I feel sorry for their troops" he said later.

"I feel the same way" Lucia added.

"Some of those knights and warriors had principles. That they would die honorably in a battle defending their land and trust" Parpera said suddenly. After that, just stay next to Lucia.

"But what we will bring to them is not a battle. Except the destruction" Nata said with a bitter voice.
