12.5. Antology Story: Lucia I's Holiday

That afternoon Lucia plans to visit her uncle Orland with Jean. He just wants to talk because today he is free from his regular work. In other words, today is his day off.

But this time Jean was on duty with Helen to deliver the essential equipment to Pharos' land.

Actually Jean had told Lucia to ask Caspian to accompany her when she was about to travel. But because Caspian's nature is too rigid, making Lucia lazy to invite Caspian to travel. Lucia is traveling alone.

"Hi, uncle" said Lucia as she entered Orland's tent not far from her tent.

It looked like the distended-bellied middle-aged man seemed to be busy. There were many scrolls of paper and books on his desk.

"Oh, you're Lucia. What do you need to come here?" Orland asked as he stared at Lucia for a moment and then looked down again on the paper roll before him.

"What is uncle doing?" Lucia asked as she approached to see what her uncle was reading.

"It's a scroll about the rules that Aksa wrote" Orland replied without looking at Lucia.

"What about the division of land for the workers, uncle?" Lucia asked as she sat at the table in front of Orland.

"No. It's about how we keep an eye on the visitors of this land if later the crossing service has been opened" Orland replied still not staring at Lucia. "As for the land of the workers and slaves who want to live in the plantation area on the west side, they can already have it immediately" he added later.

"really?" Lucia was happy to hear that.

"And we will issue a valid letter to them along with others later, when the city has begun to open" Orland added again.

"How much land will they get uncle?" Ask Lucia again.

"The amount of land that the nobles used to build the castle. And by default if following the guidelines of the palace means the length and width is 20 times the horse carriage." said Orland stalled. Then he lifted his face, looking at Lucia. "Why are you here, Luc? Are you on vacation now?" Ask later.

"True, I'm on holiday today" Lucia said with a fluffy smile.

"You better go to the station now. They're testing a new car. I still have unfinished work, so don't bother me. Get out there" Orland said, dropping his gaze back on a roll of paper on the table.

Lucia immediately bent her face annoyed "All right" he said later as he walked out of Orland's tent.

"I think this interior is too luxurious, is not it, for traders or just travelers?" Dirk, Madron, Haldin, and Matyas were discussing while standing at the depot of a carriage that looked like it had just been made.

The wood and upholstery of the carriage still look smooth. Also the metal on the side of the car body still looks shiny.

"Well, is this a carriage for the crossing service?" Lucia suddenly asked from behind which shocked everyone.

"Daughter? You alone?" Said Madron who immediately asked after seeing the figure of Lucia alone.

"Where's Miss Jean?" Dirk asked.

"Jean was with Miss Helen escorting the shipment" replied Lucia, who then walked forward and entered the carriage.

"Well! this car is good!" Lucia said in awe as soon as she saw the inside.

"Well, this glass is clear. Like the surface of the water?" Said Lucia who looked amazed to see the glass glass as clear as that.

"In the way that Mr. Aksa gave him, Mr. Val managed to make such a very clear glass, unlike the colored and not smooth mosaic glass" Haldin responded to Lucia's remarks by providing information about the glass.

"Oh, that? It's so pretty" Lucia seemed to be unceasingly touching the window.

"Now half of the craftsmen have started learning about new things again. One of them is to make ceramics and pottery like this" Matyas added information. "Because now some workers have started many who are adept at making iron devices for trains and towers or bridges" he added later.

"You craftsmen always challenge yourself, huh?" Said Lucia while sitting on the chair in front of her.

"Well, then this chair? Is this made of leather?" Lucia was surprised again. He returned to the chair next to where he was sitting. "What's that? Why is it so comfortable when sitting. Is the material different from the usual material for returning seats in noble houses?" Ask later.

"True princess, we filled it with cotton and thin bamboo webbing before we covered it with stitches from the skin" Dirk replied, because indeed he and his tailors were responsible for making the seat.

"Do you think the interior of this train car is too luxurious for us to rent princess?" This time Madron asked.

Lucia began to assess the entire room in the carriage. Then put his hand under his chin as if he was thinking.

"I think enough. Not too fancy. We must indeed give a strong impression on the traders and crossers who use the services of this steam rail later" Lucia replied then at length and looked serious.

"Hm, that? Well then, we will make an interior like this on every new car that will be used for crossing services" Madron said later.

"Oh yeah, by the way. Is there a train schedule that will go to the west?"

"Will the princess go to the west?" TanyanHaldin.

"True, I want to visit the plantation area and the ranch area in the western region" Lucia replied later.

"You can use these trains and carriages. I'll ask one worker to run it" Haldin added later.

"Is it okay?" Ask Lucia to make sure.

"We're done with this car, too. So don't worry princess" Madron confirmed Haldin's remarks.

"Alright then, thank you" Lucia's smile expanded.

Shortly after, the steam train began to run. Lucia sits on the west side of the window facing the north side cliff fence and the river.

It also appears that the train passed through the camp tents of the knights, the tent of the witch camp, and the camp tents of the workers.

And shortly afterwards, seen from a distance a waterfall on the wall of a high cliff. With a wheel spinning top. Water that falls into a pool below it, causing a splash of water that makes the surface of the pool as if foggy.

"You see how many times, the place always looks amazing" Lucia told herself when she saw the cliff of the reservoir from the window edge of her seat.
