28.5. Lugwin Story: The Unifying Movement

"Uncle's decision was right to draw the Ellworth and Barnum families first. Now not only the barons and Jarl, but many of the fighters' guilds are joining us" Lugwin said in the living room in the village of Dyms a week later.

They had just finished a meeting to talk about the chain of command for the newly assembled soldiers from various noble families and sympathizers.

"It was all because of the princess's successful attempt to convince them to join this alliance" said Matiu, who appeared to be tidying up a roll of paper on a table in front of Lugwin.

"I didn't do anything. I just said what was written in Mr. Nata's scroll" Lugwin replied evasively.

"Don't shrink yourself princess, even so, if they don't feel sincerity in your speech, they won't be moved"

"Do I sound sincere in telling these lies?"

"Daughter, maybe what you're saying is a lie but the desire to help the people and save this kingdom is sincere"

"really?"

"And who knows, that the Oracle did indeed give you an order through a young man named Nata who happened to be in the territory of this kingdom when you were in need of help"

"Hm, that's right. Thank you uncle for comforting me" Lugwin felt relieved now after hearing Matiu's words, even though he knew Matiu said like that was just comforting him.

"Don't burden yourself with things like this anymore. If all this goes well, you must lead this new army"

"really. I'm sorry I've been weak and melancholic. All right, we need to focus" Lugwin said, patting both cheeks.

Matiu who saw Lugwin felt pity and also moved. The girl forced herself to change for the sake of others. For the people of this kingdom. And from that very second Matiu was determined to help this girl with her whole life.

A week later the situation in Dyms became more and more crowded. As a result of the movement made Lugwin's forces managed to one by one take over the cities and villages in the eastern region from the rule of Dux Vincent. There are only a few more towns and villages from the southernmost eastern region, which Lugwin has not yet conquered.

"I think it's his time to go to the residence of Jarl Hector's daughter" Matiu said later as they were evaluating his future plans, this time it was attended by several heads of noble families who according to Matiu had important abilities and roles in running this war.

"Is it time?" Look Lugwin make sure.

"Well then, I'll go north tomorrow"

"Do you have to go princess yourself?" This time a short-haired Narva man was a reddish-yellow with an athletic posture, who asked.

"True Mr. Johan, because I need the support of Mr. Hector, so it must be me who goes to see him myself" replied Lugwin.

"You are the heart of this alliance, letting you travel to the far northern city of Rebenes could put your daughter's life at risk" Johan said.

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Johan, but you don't have to worry, I will be accompanied by Mr. Hans during the trip"

"Oh, thank goodness that's the case. If that's Mr. Hans your safety will be assured"

"But when the princess leaves, what's our next attack plan? We must not give Vincent a chance" asked a Narva man in a purple knight armor who looked beautiful and striking.

"I agree, Mr. George, we must not let go of this momentum. I've written all my plans in this scroll." Lugwin said as he handed the paper scroll to Matiu, "For the people concerned to be able to read it straight away, I will not keep it a secret" he added as Matiu began handing the scroll over to the nobles nearby, and then began one by one the interested nobles began to look and read.

Some nobles look surprised to find the contents of the writing in the scroll. They had not expected Lugwin to be able to plan a very good strategy even though he was only 18 years old, nor did they believe that the plan written by the inexperienced girl would work.

"In the scroll I have explained in great detail how we will attack a certain city or village, as long as I am absent for the next week." Lugwin said again.

"And I hope not only Mr. Nicko but to all of them to take responsibility for making sure everything goes according to what I wrote in the scroll. Because the plan is what the Oracle told me" he concluded later.

"Every one of our princesses understands" said everyone who was in the place almost simultaneously.

Hearing Lugwin's words about the Oracle made some nobles who had looked surprised by Lugwin's writing and those who doubted the writing, seem to begin to understand and accept.

"And for matters outside the plan of attack, while Mr. Matiu will be responsible" Lugain added.

Which is immediately answered by everyone with the word understand and understand.
