15. The Legends
"So, what do you mean by having waited so long ago?" Nata asked Lily and Val when they had finished making a rest stop on the hillside and were about to prepare for dinner.
"We have been waiting for you for a long time. Since we started to understand about speech" Lily explained.
"You mean since you were kids?"
They just nodded.
"How come? And what is your relationship with the Oracle?"
"He told our parents when we were in the womb that we would be the protectors of two young men who would be the key to the survival of the world"
"What's? Wait, how old is the Oracle?"
"He told me that he was 980 years old"
"What?!" Shouted Aksa surprised.
"Your age?"
"I'm 250 years old" Lily replied.
"I'm about 300 years old. I haven't marked it for a long time" Val replied.
And all that was in front of the bonfire just fell silent unexpectedly.
"Stop speaking politely to us. We are much younger than you" said Nata, who was answered with a nod by Lily and Val to their understanding.
"So this Oracle is male or female?" Ask Aksa then.
"The Oracle is a woman"
"As I thought"
"Why can you easily believe the Oracle's words just like that?" Ask Nata.
"Nata! Be careful what you say" said Lucia who felt that such a question was impolite to ask Lily and Val.
"The story is long" Lily said.
"The steps are happy if we can hear it" replied Nata later.
Lily smiled a little. Then fix the position of the stick on his lap. "We used to not believe. We lived each other's lives, until then a hundred years ago. We were both met by war" Lily began to tell stories.
"The Black Fire War?" Almost everyone there thought the same thing.
"You're in that war of legends?" Lucia asked who then had her nape started to get goosebumps as Lily replied with a small nod.
"What is Black Fire?" Ask Nata to Aksa.
"Let me tell you" Aksa replied later.
"And after witnessing such a terrible battlefield, we then condemned the power we had. Because our power is the power to destroy" Lily continued.
"Destroying power? Sage of the Lagom clan? Could it be that you are the legendary White Lightning?" Guess Loujze.
"What is White Lightning?" Ask Nata again to Aksa.
"I'll tell you" replied Aksa once more to Nata.
"That's right!" Shouted the trio of hunters almost simultaneously because of disbelief.
"And maybe you are also one of the heroes in the legendary war?" This time Duexter asked Val.
"No, I never went straight to the battlefield" Val replied.
"He's the man behind the Toros" Lily added.
"What?!" Shouts of surprise are now from everyone except Nata who does not understand what is really being talked about. And Aksa who looks not interested even though he knows what is Oboros.
"What is a Toros?" Ask Nata again to Aksa.
"I'll tell you" Aksa gave the same answer to Nata.
"Then the Oracle came to see us. He said that the terrible ability we have can be the strength to build. And you're the one who can change that" Lily continued.
Then all fell silent. Still unable to adjust to the fact that there were two legends before them.
"So it's true that you're the messenger of God" Loujze said, breaking the silence that Lucia and Jean responded to with a gaze that seemed to say 'don't-don't-don't-don't-do-all that's true'.
Meanwhile, Nata and Aksa did not react as Lucia and Jean had expected. They look ordinary. Not acting silly or bragging. And it doesn't even look surprised at all.
"So so. Then you expect big from us?" Ask Nata later.
Lily and Val just nodded.
"Well we will try not to disappoint you" Nata replied later.
Hearing Nata's words that had just made Val who had met from the beginning never seen a smile now began to smile.
"Hey boy, what was that reaction? Why aren't you surprised or unexcited by the two legends who swore allegiance to you?" Jean looks so sewot.
"That's because we're still confused. A lot of incomplete information. So for now accepting them and trying not to disappoint each other is the most logical and polite choice" Nata replied later.
"At least before we meet the Oracle" Aksa added.
"Is your age actually seventeen years or seventeen million years?" Typal Jean is upset to hear the wise talk of Nata and Aksa.
"Lilly?" Suddenly Aksa spoke. "Are you married? Or have a life partner?" Ask then which surprises the others.
"Yet. I don't have a life partner yet" Lily replied later.
"That means there is something worse than me Nat" Aksa said then "I have no partner for only seventeen years. He tried for two hundred and fifty years?"
"You're a bego, huh?" Saut Nata's. That was followed by a response not received from others.
"Hey, kid! You know about no manners!" Shouted Jean.
"Aksa! Keep talking!" Hardic Lucia.
"Mr Aksa! Please don't overdo it like that" Loujze said, almost simultaneously with Jean and Lucia.
While Val and Lily just look at each other to hear Aksa's words earlier. Then they both laughed, and confused the person who saw it.
