"So Lug, uh I mean Arcdux, are we really ready for this war" Piere said as he met Lugwin after the meeting with the generals was over.
"Stop calling me Arcdux, Piere. I'm still the old Lugwin" Lugwin replied in slight annoyance from the seat before Piere.
"No, now you're an Arcdux and I have to start practicing calling you that way when the war is over you're the one who's going to take the throne of Estrinx" Piere said.
Lugwin was a little surprised to hear the words of Piere who mentioned about occupying the throne. That means she will be queen of Estrinx. He hasn't thought about that yet.
"You should call him Your Majesty, Piere. Not you" Hans suddenly enters Lugwin's tent without warning, which shocks Lugwin and breaks his reverie.
"Hans?" Lugwin.
"Oh right, I'm sorry, Venerable Arcdux?" Piere said his words earlier.
"Stop teasing me you two" Lugwin looked irritated as he folded his arms.
It was responded with laughter by the two young Lugwin's little friend. Which then made Lugwin also laugh.
"Well, you should always have a face like that Lug" Piere said suddenly as he watched Lugwin laugh.
"True, don't bear the burden of this kingdom alone. There were still us, there were still nobles who cared" this time Hans spoke while sitting at one of the tables at the end of the camp.
"really. Share it, after all this is not your own kingdom" Piere chimed in.
"You guys,"
Lugwin felt overwhelmed to hear his friends worried about him. He was grateful to have both of them around him.
-
"Uncle, will after this war is over I still get caught up in this?" Lugwin asked as he and Matiu again talked about preparing for the raid, the night before.
Matiu looked surprised to hear Lugwin's words, then he felt sad while answering, "daughter,"
"Yes, I know uncle. That was just my stupid question"
"If the leadership of this kingdom is not held, the seizure of the throne will happen again as it is today"
"Yes I understand that uncle. Forgive me for having this selfish thought"
"You have the right to be a selfish princess, you have overcome all the wishes you have for this kingdom. But for that,"
"I understand uncle. And thanks for comforting me, I'm lucky to have you uncle"
Matiu just smiled looking at Lugwin. "It is this kingdom that is lucky to have you Arcdux Lugwin" he said later.

Two weeks later Lugwin's army marched into the Damsa plateau. They marched five thousand soldiers with eight generals and hundreds of chariots filled with supplies. Then after that make a camp in the highlands.
Two days later all the generals were ready with their own troops to go to the city of Hish. They were now moving four thousand five hundred men to face fifteen thousand Dux Vincent's men, and left five hundred men to guard the camp and continue to prepare the throwing chariot.
The city of Hish is surrounded by a wide, flat savanna. Which makes direct combat the most sensible strategy. But because they will do the tactic of dividing the opposing forces to be more easily defeated, each general will bring troops in small numbers in order to move quickly and help each other.
-
"Is the device ready uncle?" Ask Lugwin in his tent not far from Hish. Monitoring information on the course of the war as commander-in-chief.
They have been fighting this war for three days. And just as the other generals had expected, the defense of Hish had not wavered.
"Everything is Arcdux ready" Matiu replied later.
"Goodoo. And the current state of affairs?" Tanya Lugwin then while trying to squint her eyes stared out from the side of the tent that was not closed.
"How are their troops?" Ask Lugwin then.
"They still survive. The main force of Infantry General Vederik still continues to press the eastern side, while the cavalry forces of General Elsya face the troops on the west side" explained Matiu.
"Then the fighting force led by General Johan was conducting a direct attack on the city of Hish. And as planned, he will pretend defeat and retreat to pull Dux Vincent's forces out of the city" Matiu added later.
"Dux Vincent must believe we're facing his men for three days. And it will be impetuous to pursue if we withdraw troops" said Lugwin, "Then what about the troops in charge of cutting off aid from the south?" Then later.
"The army of General Darius and General George are still on their way round to the south side, while General Hamnon is still hiding behind our troops to outwit the opponent" Matiu replied.
"All right, uncle, start positioning General Hamnon's fast-moving cavalry. We will surround Dux Vincent's army as soon as they get out of the city" Lugwin ordered, who then looked at Hans standing on his left side, and said, "General Hans, we're off to the battlefield"
-
Lugwin and his army now arrived at the front line. And then General Johan withdrew his troops, who shortly afterwards saw the cavalry leave the city of Hish to pursue him. Lugwin's plan worked. Dux Vincent seemed to be coming with him.
"It appears that Vincent's Dux forces have left the city, the Arcdux" Matiu reported from his horse to Lugwin's right.
"Send General Elsya's cavalry archers to help General Vederik. Then take over the city" Lugwin's orders. "General Hans, help General Hamnon stand in the way of the troops who are pursuing General Johan right now" he added.
"Ready Arcdux"
-
General Hamnon's fast-moving force and General Hans' Arcdux main force marched in unison against Dux Vincent's forces in pursuit of General Johan from the left and right sides.
Seemed surprised and aware that this was an ambush, Dux Vincent ordered his troops to return.
Seeing this Matiu who has read all Nata's writings on prevention plans knows what he should do. He quickly commanded General Barna's forces in charge with the equipment to launch the tools they secretly carried in this war.
Seen not far from the Lugwin campground, stood two tools that each contained like a pair of roof frames but with a triangle shape that is not symmetrical.
In the middle of each of these tools there is a thinner wood pulled curved and hooked on a peg that sticks in the ground.
Above the two curved pieces of wood were each wooden milestone like the Leafcla altar pole which was bound by a very wide cloth. Two wooden poles were tied to the left and right of the cloth.
It looked like the cloth had many holes and was drenched in oil. The smell was very pungent to disturb the soldiers around the place.
And when General Barna received the command message from Matiu, he immediately ordered his men to take off the support stake. And then along with the pressure from the wood that returned straight, two wooden poles held together by the wet cloth ties were slid together into space.
The fabric stretched wide in space. Box-shaped floated towards the battlefield.
Everyone in the battlefield was shocked by this. Especially Dux Vincent and his troops who were on their way back towards the city of Hish.
The cloth passed by them leaving a shadow that covered the sunlight.
The path of the cloth and the wooden pole now began to curve down. And finally it fell right in front of Hish's city gate. With the two columns plunging deep into the ground, the wide cloth covered the entire gate of Hish from view and prevented Dux Vincent's soldiers from entering.
And as soon as the fiery arrow that General Johan had released touched the greasy cloth, the fire soon soared shut the city gate. Which led to the formation chaos of the Vincent Dux army.
The battle lasted until the sun finally set at the west end. And it ended when Dux Vincent was killed by General Hamnon in his battle against three combined forces when the sun was completely out of sight.
The relief forces from the southern cities were intercepted by the forces of General Darius and General George, until the city of Hish was completely overrun by the forces of General Elsya and General Vederik. The rest of Dux Vincent's army managed to escape.

Arcdux Lugwin's forces defeated Dux Vincent's forces in a three-day battle in the city of Hish. After that day came rumors that Arcdux Lugwin was blessed by an Oracle with high-level fire magic. That can burn a city gate in one strike.
