24. Request Help
A day later, 3 guests came to visit. I was visiting Lucia. It appears to be a figure known to Nata and Aksa. The girl they helped a few days ago. Princess Lugwin.
Nata was not surprised to see the girl again. He had expected that the girl would come back to look for Lucia.
"Lugs? Thank goodness you're okay. What brings you here?" Lucia said, letting them sit down. While looking Fla immediately went into the kitchen to make their guests tea without being ordered.
"We really need to be with you" Lugwin said as he removed the coat he used.
"What do you need? Did you just arrive in this village? Do you need to rest first?"
"No need for Lug, we just got some rest. We arrived early this morning, and rented an inn in the center of the village to rest"
"Oh, fine then. So what do you need from me, Lug?"
"Sorry, first of all introduce, he is Matiu. Former royal advisor" Lugwin then introduced the two people who had come with him.
"Include me Matiu, the king's advisor to Estros" This man named Matiu bowed politely in his position still sitting before Lucia. Matiu was a middle-aged Narva man who looked neat and attractive like a noble. Because it is different from Matiu, Nicko's face is filled with yellowish bewok that at first glance looks like a lion.
"Include me Lucia" replied Lucia short and then introduced the rest of the people in the room. There were only Jean, Nata, and Aksa. Lily and Val are in another room, while a trio of hunters aren't home.
"I'm sorry, I heard the Oracle died before you could meet, is everything okay?" Continue Lugwin with a question that is already known by all that it is just to make small talk.
"It's a pity, but we're fine. What else has happened? The last week a lot of refugees came to this village" Lucia replied, continuing with questions.
But when Lugwin was about to answer, Matiu seemed to stop him. Then looked towards Nata and Aksa who were sitting in the long chair at the end of the room.
"Oh, do I have to go in?" Aksa saut without stale bases.
"Oh, this is an important inside conversation it turns out. Alright. We excuse you first" said Nata who then moved from his chair to the inside followed by Aksa.
"No need" Lucia later said. "If you want to talk to me about something, they should hear it too"
Immediately Jean, standing behind Lucia's seat, stared intently at Aksa in silence. Aksa responded by raising his hand, then lazily returned to the seat.
Matiu looks reluctant at Lucia's request which lets the two Morras listen to their talk about the kingdom's current situation. But Lugwin seemed to force him to agree with a serious-looking gaze. "Alright, please princess" he said then gave up.
"Well, if so. So things are getting worse now" Lugwin replied later. "The dispute between the two Dux is now increasingly becoming. We have tried to get them into discussions to end this costly war. But they did not hear and then threatened to get rid of us if it blocked their path" he added.
Lucia still had no time to start speaking when Lugwin spoke again.
"And now all we can do is help find a place for these refugees" Lugwin was heard searching as he looked into Lucia's eyes. "And that's why we're here on purpose. We'd like to ask for your help Luc" he added.
"Help what?" There began to sound a tone of worry from Lucia's words.
"At least if you can't help us stop this war, let the refugees get to where you are. Give them asylum. They have no place to go"
"Stop this war? Giving asylum?" Nata muttered restrained.
Lucia looked silent, from the sight of her nimble eyes she was in turmoil.
"Maybe this is a selfish request, but please help these people. Enough until the civil war is over. We'll figure out a way to stop this ridiculous war as soon as we can. I promise" said Lugwin again pleading.
"I can't" Lucia finally broke her silence.
Hearing that answer made everyone shocked. Especially Aksa and Nata. They didn't think Lucia would refuse someone's request for help.
"You know, right? I open anyone even in my own land, Lug" said Lucia who seemed earnest. "If you need me to take care of the refugees in this village, I will, but" he added.
Lugwin stared silently at Lucia "Alright if so. I get it, I'm sorry to make you think about all this stuff, Luc. Thank you in advance" he said later.
"And what are you going to do after this?"
"We must keep trying to save the people who are victims"
