09.5 - The Kingdom of Urbar

"What the hell is going on? What's the matter, until you have to interrupt my wife's time" Gladius's face seemed displeased as he arrived in the living room.

Two men in palace uniform, along with three soldiers, were also in the room. One of the five men was the reason why Gladius had to get out of his bed at rest as he was now.

And because of his urgency, Gladius did not even have time to change his pajamas.

"This is a terrible problem for the king. Our territory was invaded by dead earth vases" a middle-aged Morra man reported with an agitated face. It was this man who urged for a meeting with Gladius.

"We're at war with them, Paul. So there is no need to be surprised and panic, if they attack. We just need to prepare the troops to help which areas are attacked" Gladius replied calmly.

"But your majesty, the entire region has been attacked simultaneously" the Morra man whom Paul called out tried to explain in more detail.

"What do you mean by the whole area?" Gladius seemed to still not understand what Paul meant.

"Our whole territory, sire. Except for the Nabradia and Ravus regions" Paul adds to his explanation.

"What do you mean by except that territory, Paul?" Gladius sounded increasingly clueless.

"We have just received a letter from another region using the stones of Space and Time, which is asking the central government for help in sending soldiers to their territory, he said. And the letter came from eight regions except Nabradia and Ravus" Paul tried to detail his explanation.

"Are those rulers joking?" Gladius seemed to have no confidence in Paul's incumbent.

"Arcane stones are quite difficult to get. The stone will only be used when urgent matters occur, your majesty. So there was no way they were joking" Paul replied.

"I know that, Paul. My words earlier were not really a question" Gladius replied resentfully. "At the same time how could they have so many warriors to attack all regions at once?" Ask then guess.

"According to the reports of the letters, they only attacked with one train capable of destroying the gate wall in one strike" Paul said, trying to answer the king's question.

"What is a mystical weapon?" Gladius looked back. "Tighten the city gates! And bring Chris here" he ordered later.

"Ready, sire. Do it" Paul answered quickly, asking permission to leave the room.

-

"I can't do anything anymore, my lord. It all happened" Chris said after a while ago he was picked up from the city prison and then listened to the sitting of the worship that was happening.

"Then what can we do to defend or counterattack?" Gladius asked with haraian Chirs having the answer.

"I don't know how to fight them back. But now the most important thing is to immediately prepare your majesty to evacuate from this palace to the city of Nezarad" said Chris then gave advice.

"Did you think this place would also be attacked, Chris?" Gladius asked to make sure. "And you thought we wouldn't be able to stop it?" Ask again.

"Open up" replied Chris quickly.

Seeing the confidence from Chris' words made Gladius start to look a little panicked. "Then prepare my departure immediately. Get me out of this place" he said later.

"Ready, sire. Do it" Chris said later.

But as soon as Chris finished answering, suddenly a soldier came rushing over.

"Report, majesty. There has been an attack in front of the second gate, the north door" the soldier said.

"What?! How did they get to the front of the second gate?" Now Gladius looked really panicked.

"How many attackers?" Chris immediately asked the soldier the news.

"About four, Mr. Chris" the soldier replied.

"Send all the Champions to stop them" Gladius ordered later.

"If they could get people into this city, they would not have just four people. They must still have someone else who might be heading to this palace" said Chris in the middle of his journey escorting Gladius to the dressing room.

"Prepare a lot of soldiers to escort me" Gladius again ordered one of the chiefs of the soldiers who went with him to the dressing room.

"Good, majesty. Carry it out" the soldier immediately replied and was about to turn around and leave, when then Chris interrupted.

"Attent. Your Majesty won't come out with many guards. That will even cause attention. They will know where the position is" said Chris who made the king and others stop.

"Then what should we do?" Gladius asked.

"You get ready first, your majesty. I'll take care of it" Chris said, trying to calm Gladius down.

"Alright, I leave it all to you, Chris" replied a visibly restless Gladius as he rushed to the dressing room to prepare.

"Paul, call Agoros, and also bring the girl named Joan who is in the city prison, here" said Chris reigned as he walked in the opposite direction to the king.

-

Shortly afterwards two people were in the palace meeting room with Chris. Joan, a former boy of Tyrion. And Agoros, one of the Champions wielding mystic spear-shaped weapons, who managed to escape during the raid to the south gate of the land died, led to failure.

"That's how it is now. Even they had already managed to enter the palace by now" Chris did a brief explanation to the two people.

"So Joan, I know you know this city well. I'm asking you to get the king's majesty out of this city to the holy land by stealth" Chris said, giving Joan orders.

"Okay, Mr. Chris. I will do the best I can to bring you from this place" Joan replied firmly.

"You too, Agoros. Protect your majesty during this escape until you safely arrive at the Holy Land" this time Chris gave orders to Agoros.

"Ready, Mr. Chris. Leave it to me. I will protect the king's majesty until I arrive in the Holy Land" Agoros replied confidently.

"All right then. I leave it to you two. Escort and protect your majesty all the way to the Holy Land" Chris repeated his orders.

"Ready" simultaneous answers from Joan and Agoros.

And before long Gladius arrived at the meeting room. He is fully dressed now. At least no longer using pajamas. Although also not using his royal clothes, or the clothes of the knights.

Now Gladius only wore noble clothes in general. With a head-hooded brown robe.

"They're the two who will accompany you to get out of this city to the Holy Land, your majesty" Chris said as Gladius approached.

Joan and Agorus immediately knelt before their king.

"You're Tyrion's men?" Gladius knew Joan.

"True, my lord" Joan answered briefly, bowing her head to the floor.

"He was a loyal man to this kingdom. And most importantly, he knew very well the intricacies of this city. So he'll lead you out of town without anyone's knowledge" Chris tries to explain to Gladius why the girl who was supposed to be in prison is in the room right now.

Gladius was silent for a moment. Like judging Chris' words. "All right then. What's yourname?" He said then asked.

"Joan Illiad, sire" Joan answered quickly.

"Then stand up quickly. We leave this place immediately" ordered Gladius who sounded impatient.

Then Gladius with Agoros, Joan, two knights, and two fighting witches left the palace.
