14.5. Yvvone Story: The Elbrasta Rebellion

Two days later Yvvone and Seigfried arrived at the place they were headed to. Pharn city. On the border between the western and southern regions of the Estrinx kingdom.

And after setting up camp in the forest on the cliff on the east side of the city, they immediately entered the city.

The city was not as big and crowded as the city of Yahld before. Plus its position on the slopes of the hills, made even fewer merchants and outsiders who came to visit the city.

So not too troubled to bring Yvvone into the city.

But Seigfried seems to know the city already. Until he could figure out where they were headed.

Shortly after, the two of them arrived at a bar at the southern end of the city. The area around the bar looks dirty and dirty.

"You sure this is the place?" Yvvone asked looking miserable.

"Yes. I lived in this city for two months when I ran away from my group, first" Seigfried replied later

Inside the bar was an old man behind the bartender's desk, a drunk Narva man at the middle table of the room, and a Morra man wearing a wooden bandana covered his head. Sitting at a table at the end of the room.

Seigfried approached the man in dress. "Are you Yan?" Ask later.

"Who are you?" The man in dress asked.

"We want you to connect us with the Eight Guards" Seigfried said without answering the man's question.

"Sit down first" the man allowed Siegfried and Yvvone to sit down, which meant justifying that he was Yan.

"First of all, mention what kind of task would you like to ask the Eight Protectors to do?" Yan asked again as Seigfried and Yvvone were already sitting before him.

"Taking a trade agreement letter from one of the nobles in the territory of the kingdom of Augra" Siegfried replied quickly and smoothly. Which made Yvvone look a little amazed at him.

Yan seemed to be assessing Seigfried's words while looking at Morra's man and the Elf girl before him in turn.

"And who are you two? What are your statuses? What's your job?" Yan asked with a suspicious look. "Because the Eight guards were only willing to accept the task after they found out who hired them" he continued.

"Don't worry we have enough money to pay for them" Siegfried placed a bundle of money on the table with confidence.

Yvvone was once again amazed at how Seigfried acted. The man can think quickly to make convincing lies and bluffs.

Even he arrogantly placed the cloth package containing only 4 silver coins and 8 bronze coins, as if it were gold coins or white gold.

But Yvvone did not overreact. He did not want to ruin Seigfried's efforts to get Yan's fame.

"Eight Guards don't always ask for money for payment" the man replied with a gaze that looked like he was judging money in the cloth bag.

"Well, if you have to" Seigfried said. "My name is Conie. Conie Redhead's. I take on the duties of my master a Jarl of the Joren kingdom. And I won't mention his name to you here. If they want to know, I will tell them to myself" he said later with a lie.

"And he is my guardian. He had already thrown his name out of embarrassment" Seigfried added as he pointed towards Yvvone sitting next to him.

Yvvone looked sinisterly at Seigfried after hearing his words earlier. But then he just nodded small towards Yan.

Yan was judging whether Seigfried was telling the truth or not.

"Well then. Come here in five days" said Yan later.

Siegfried and Yvvone left the bar.

"That's what the fuck?" Yvvone was heard in disbelief to Siegfried as they were on their way to the cliff to where their camp was made.

"What indeed? You've never seen anyone lie before?" Seigfried replied casually.

"Not that. But who threw away his name out of embarrassment, it was" Yvvone sounded sewot.

"I don't know what an Elf's name is. I don't know any Elves except for Mr. Val" Seigfried gave his defense. "So there's no way, am I using a man's name to disguise you?" Next later.

Yvvone was still staring sinisterly at Seigfried, after hearing the answer. But he didn't try to put up a fight.

"Then as long as we wait these five days, I will return to the city of Yahld" Seigfried said.

"Do you want to go back to that town?"

"I haven't gambled in a long time. I think I want to gamble there while I can. In that city there was a dark gambling den" Seigfried replied casually.

"Can you gamble at a time like this?"

"Because I think we're going to need a lot of money to bribe that Yan, then I'm going to make some money for it" replied Seigfried, who seemed far-fetched.

"If you want to raise money, yes work do not even gamble" said Yvvone later.

Seigfried did not reply to Yvvone's remarks. He was cursing without a voice behind.

Five days later they both headed back to the bar in Pharn city. After four days in the city of Yahld, Seigfried managed to win dozens of gold pieces from gambling.

Now he already really had a lot of money to boast to Yan.

"really? The Joren Kingdom is fine. Which part of the south is in trouble?" Seigfried asked with a suspicious look towards Yan.

"I'm not lying. I can't reach them" Yan replied as he felt accused of being a liar.

"Then what should we do? We really need their energy" Seigfried began to look panicked.

"Difficult" Yan said with a heavy heart.

"We'll pay you. When you give us a way out to meet the Eight Protectors" Seigfried puts five gold coins on the table.

It was seen despite trying to hide, that Yan was very interested in the gold coins on the table.

"All right then. Come to the city of Garya in the Elbrasta region. Find a guy named Vargas. Say I'm the one who chased you" Yan said later. "Then ask him about the Eight Guards" he added.

"Attent. You said you couldn't contact the Eight Guards because the south was in chaos. Now you're saying that a man named Vargas can contact them? You want to trick me?" Seigfried took back the emss pieces on the table.

"It's not. There were several members of the Eight Guards in that place. It was just too risky contacting them through the mail in the Elbrasta region" Yan looked a little panicked, and started trying to explain his point. "Later Vargas will escort you directly to one of the Eight Guards. You can ask for their help directly" he explained later.

Siegfried was hesitating about whether Yan could believe it or not.

"All right then. Explain in more detail how and where the man named Vargas that we can meet" Seigfried said while putting the five pieces of gold back on the table. Which made Yan's face smile back.

"It's a good thing we have enough money to bribe that person" Yvvone said as they prepared to travel west. Towards the city of Garya in the Elbrasta region.

"Thank you to me. And don't ever doubt my decision to do anything again" Seigfried said, sounding proud.

"But I can't believe you're so good at gambling. To be able to get so much money" Yvvone said no matter what Siegfried said before.

"I learned a lot from Mr. Aksa about reading opportunities and reading someone in gambling, every time he stopped by the bar" Siegfried replied casually. "Yes though I must always be bothered to buy milk at the restaurant next to every master Aksa come" he said later which this time sounded resigned.

"That boy taught you to gamble? What he thinks, ssmpai teaches others to win at gambling" Yvvone said in a speech Siegfried ignores.

A week later, they arrived in the town of Garya. A trading city on the border between the Elbrasta kingdom and the Estrinx kingdom.

As Yan had explained earlier, they immediately headed to a place where they could find the person named Vargas.

"You guys didn't come on time. Now in the midst of a rebellion in the kingdom of Elbrasta" Morra's man with a tall thin stature known as Vargas replied when Siegfried asked about the Eight Guardians.

"really?" Yvvone and Seigfried were really surprised to hear Vargas say.

"This area looks fine" Seigfried said. Because he did not see any panic or anxiety in the city.

"That's because this city is on the border of the kingdom. The rebels are attacking Kotaraja" Vargas explained.

"Then what does this have to do with the Eight Guards?" Seigfried asked again.

"What I know is that the Eight Guards members are taking on the task of guarding the palace" Vargas replied quickly.

"What do we need to do to meet them?" This time Yvvone asked.

"They will be in Kotaraja until the rebellion is over" Vargas replied.

"Who is waging a rebellion in this peaceful and prosperous kingdom?" Ask Seigfried later.

"They were influential nobles in the region. Actually, this area is not as peaceful as it seems. Since King Albert died six years ago, the kingdom has indeed begun to fall" Vargas is seen to vanish his heart.

"When we go to Kotaraja, will we be able to meet the Eight Guards?" Yvvone asked again.

Seigfired immediately looked at Yvvone cynically. He could guess what the Elf girl was thinking now.

"of course. But now the gates of Kotaraja are closed. Impossible to enter it" Vargas replied.

"Well, if so. Too bad. This is indeed our bad luck" said Yvvone who tried to pretend, but was too forced. Makes it look ridiculous.

"No. We're not going to go to Kotaraja" Seigfried said when they were outside Garya. "If you want to go there, please go there yourself. I will return to Central City" he added later.

"We're just going to infiltrate and search for information. Nothing dangerous is going to happen" Yvvone tries to seduce Seigfried into going with him to the royal city of Elbrasta.

"If you're just looking for information, you don't need me, do you?" Seigfried said no matter what.

"You know, the Elbrasta Kingdom information is very important and useful for your region" Yvvone said.

"It's none of my business" Seigfried replied quickly.

"At least by giving me useful information about this kingdom, you can help Lucia and the land of Pharos as you've dreamed so far, right?" Yvvone again spoke at length to persuade Siegfried.

Hearing Yvvone's words made Siegfried think. "Elf is indeed the most cunning creature in the world" he said later with an annoyed face.
