Joan had been locked up in a prison in Guam for almost a week. Together with Xiggaz, they were captured the day after Tyrion escaped.
They both prepared for something like this. Even for worse, like receiving the death penalty. For Joan herself, her master was a savior. Then he will willingly exchange his life for the safety of his master.
Twenty years ago, Tyrion picked him up from the streets of Guam when he was 6 years old. And then gave him shelter, food, martial training, and also the magic he needed to guard himself. To be like him now.
And therefore, he felt that this life was a loan that he should one day return to his master. It's no different than Xiggaz.
Joan had no relatives, so during her time in prison, no one came to see her. Until then he had a guest who wanted to see him. That's Chris' advisor.
"What do you need to come here, counselor?" Joan asked as she was in the other room with Chris and a soldier.
"Please sit down" said Chris, allowing Joan to sit in the chair in front of his desk.
Joan sat down relaxed. Then start talking again. "I've answered dozens of times that I don't know where Mr. Tyrion went"
"No. I'm not meeting you now to ask you about the matter. I just want to ask for your help" Chris said as he maintained his posture.
"And what can I help you with, counselor Chris?" Joan crossed her legs under the table.
"I heard you've lived in the city on that dead land" Chris asked without further ado.
"really. About a month or so" Joan replied.
"Can you tell me everything you know about the dead land, to me? I need to know about it" asked Chris who was still without further ado.
"Do you intend to strike back at Pharos, Chris' advisor?" Joan narrowed her eyes probing.
"I believe that they will be a threat to this region in the future. So we have to drop it" Chris replied firmly.
"It's not that Mr Tyrion thinks the same, but why are you against his plans?" Joan answered calmly. "Did you do it to take down Lord Tyrion and take back your position?" Ask later without fear.
"I must stop and lower your master, for he is no longer logically minded. We must attack the dead land with a mature plan. While your master is just carried away the emotion of wanting revenge. Feeling humiliated by people from the region" Chris replied.
Joan agreed with what Chris said. That his master had been acting rashly since the surprise attack on the eastern region of the dead land had failed miserably.
"Therefore before starting to make plans to strike back against the region, I want to recognize what the region is like" Chris said again.
Joan looked straight into Chris' eyes. "Alright, I'll tell you" he said then replied.

"So like that, Chris' advisor" Joan closes her long story about everything she knows about the dead land.
"Are you sure they have other magic tools besides weapons that don't use magic?" Chris asked with a face of disbelief, which Joan had seen many times when she described what she had met in the city of Pharos.
"And when you recall, all the practical things in their territory, no one relied on magic at all" Joan said as she closed her eyes trying to recall.
"After seeing everything they have, do you think we will win against them, Miss Joan?" Chris asked Joan's opinion.
"A very reliable person makes a strategy?" Chris looked curious.
"Tyrion was assisted by twelve warlords who were quite experienced in warfare in this central region" Joan began to explain. "And even though Mr. Tyrion ordered the attack without any plan, but with the experience of the warlords, they should be able to anticipate the attacks of opponents who have a much smaller amount of power" he continued later.
Chris just silently watched Joan's words carefully.
"But still the warlords were unable to defeat the region. And what I heard from the soldiers and even from the Champions who survived, is that the way of fighting the region is not like the way of fighting that we are commonly aware of" Joan continued. "They can effortlessly utilize everything they have to fight back. Like using wild animals and bees for weapons. I don't think it's a ridiculous plan and origin" he added later.
"Oh right. I also thought it was a great strategy" Chris agreed with Joan. "But what I heard, their victory was because of their great weapons. Which is even able to defend against mystic weapons" he continued.
"While their weapons are great, their weapons are limited. If they do not use the right strategy, they will still not be able to win with the number of our troops are almost thirty times more" Joan replied to Chris's remarks. "At least that's what I concluded while observing this war" he added.
"And have you told this to your master?"
"It has. But indeed at that time Mr. Tyrion's judgment was closed to his emotions" replied Joan admitted.
"Your observation is very sharp, miss Joan" Chris said as he moved his seat. "Then do you think there's a way to beat them? Do they have weaknesses?" Ask later.
"In trade they are superior to us. By rule, somehow their government works, I don't understand either. So I don't know where their loopholes are, and how to exploit them" Joan goes back to a lengthy explanation. "They don't have caste status which causes us to not be able to 'buy' nobles to want to betray. Plus it looks like the inhabitants of the region are very admiring and loyal to their rulers" he added.
"Is there such a thing?" Chris is dubious.
"It was the territory that made the witches work on building the city. So the impossible can be very possible in that place" said Joan reminded Chris of the strangeness in the region.
Chris was silent for a moment looking at Joan's face. As if judging. "Well then, thank you, miss Joan" he said later.
"Well then excuse me" Joan stood up from her seat.
"Sorry, miss Joan. One more" said Chris suddenly. Which made Joan sit down.
"Please, counselor Chris" Joan said later.
"In your opinion, if you can choose. Do you want our kingdom to be in the dominion of the land of the dead, or vice versa?" Ask Chris then. That made Joan's face change.
Joan seemed to think for a moment. "I am a very loyal person to this kingdom. So I do not want this kingdom to be conquered by other regions" he replied later.
"But...?" Chris asked as if he knew Joan's words were not finished.
"But if I see her as a commoner, then I will choose to be in the dominion of the dead land" Joan replied later.
Chris looked at Joan's face again. It still looks like it is judging. This time a little longer than before.
And after being convinced, Chris began to speak. "All right, then. Thank you, miss Joan" who then started to smile. His face was satisfied.
"All right then. I say goodbye, advisor Chris" said Joan who began to leave the room.
