The Thousand Year Dynasty
31. A Trap I

As soon as the fire of the explosion disappeared, all that was seen now was smoke, charcoal, charcoal, and the remains of a small fire that still burns wood and cloth among the debris from the meeting building and the building in an area as far as three houses around the building.

Lily appeared to hold Aksa and Nata's bodies in time before crashing away, and installed a bluish-white protective magic shaped like a dome covering her, and the two young men. Making the three of them able to survive the explosion earlier without serious enough injuries.

Not far from Lily's position, Val was seen standing with a bright blue protective magic enveloping her body.

In addition, it is also visible among the rubble and ruins, dozens of charred soldier bodies burned. Some are still moving and moaning.

Caspian, who had not been able to enter Lily's magic protection, was lying in the middle of the debris quite far from the center of the explosion. His body was thrown by the force from the explosion earlier. Half of his clothes melted.

It also appears that Percival's figure was lying on his stomach among the rubble not far from where Caspian lay. And just like Caspian, the back of his armor melted as well.

Val immediately ran towards Caspian to check on his condition. While the figure of Rafa can not be found around the place. So did Chris and the spearheaded knight. The two figures seemed to vanish into flames while in the air before the explosion.

While Helen who had run in and took refuge in the carriage which was then thrown away, seemed only to have a minor injury. Now the train where the shelter is located is almost ten houses away from the meeting building.

Lily seemed to be ascertaining the condition of Nata and Aksa who was now just sitting drowning in front of him. They both cannot speak. They just sat down, just as they had managed to survive an ambush by the stone weavers of Arcane on the Karan hillside.

Nata twitched her eyes as Lily called her name and Aksa. His ears were still buzzing due to the sound of a very loud explosion earlier.

While Aksa looks around, when then he starts to realize there is no Rafa around them. Immediately Aksa stood up, and though a little staggering he began to walk while shouting Rafa.

Soon Pharos soldiers, who were on guard around the city, began to arrive. And with direction from Helen, they began to rescue the soldiers who could still survive, and the residents who were victims around the area of the explosion.

There are three healers in the town. He was busy doing first aid to the victims.

While the earth witches help comb and get rid of the rubble of the building, look for the victims who may have been hit by the ruins.

Val also helped move debris made of metal.

Aksa was worried while still shouting Rafa's name as the witches worked to get rid of debris and ruins.

Nata was now sitting on the threshold of the entrance of the combat train that had just arrived, staring around. He felt he had made a mistake because he could not predict this. He felt disappointed once again. After a surprise attack that managed to burn the village on the east coast.

Nata started to look furious. He looks very angry. Not against the Urbar kingdom, but more to himself.

"Not everything we can save. You know that, right?" Suddenly Lily's voice came from beside the chariot.

"I didn't think they'd be this close. If I hadn't taken this matter too lightly and believed too much in my estimation, I might have realized this attack. And can anticipate it" Nata replied with a disappointed face.

"You're just human, Nat. It was only eighteen years old" Lily replied. "You are not perfect messengers of gods, though the Oracle sees that you are essential to the survival of this world" he added.

"Yes, maybe because all this time I felt I was not a messenger of god or a chosen person, then I felt I had no responsibility, and only did this half-heartedly. The end of which many lives were simply lost" Nata replied again with more gloom.

"Let them not be your responsibility" Lily said as a male witch shouted from the rubble of the meeting hall.

"There's someone here. Hurry along! Looks like he's alive!" The witch shouted for help.

Hearing this, Aksa also immediately approached. Hope it's Rafa and make it.

And it turns out that Aksa's hope was answered. After the debris was removed from it, the figure of Rafa was lying in a small niche on the ground. Most of his body was wrapped up by a blanket made of earth.

The head and arms of Rafa, which were not covered, appeared to be drenched in blood. It was clear that the girl was still breathing.

Aksa is very grateful to have Rafa safe. But after the witches managed to remove his body from the blanket of the ground, it seemed that his right arm was no longer there.

At the base of Rafa's left right arm, there was a slab made of rocks that clamped and held no blood out of the arm.

The sight made Aksa feel sad and at the same time angry. Because he knew, nothing from the medical science he mastered, or the magic abilities of the healers of this world, could regenerate a human body that had been cut off. Which means that from now on, Rafa will live his life with just one hand.

Aksa helped lift Rafa's body onto the stretcher and immediately carried it towards the emergency tent of the healers not far from the place. His feelings were mixed, between relief and also annoyance.

"Please prepare a cloth and clean water. Also alcohol. Take it to the makeshift tent" Aksa pinta told one of the soldiers nearby.

.

"Prepare for a possible attack, Miss Helen" Nata said, giving orders to Helen still from the doorstep of the chariot she was sitting on. His face looks tired.

"I've ordered fifty soldiers to stand guard at the gate now" Helen replied. It was seen blood seeping bandaged on his right arm.

"Kabari Eblan and Ceodore region to send aid and also to be on standby. We do not know whether they also plan to attack other areas or not" Nata said again while massaging the base of the nose between his eyes. Like I was feeling dizzy.

"I, understand" replied Helen firmly.

"I feel so angry now, Nat" suddenly Aksa appears cutting into Nata and Helen's conversation. He had just finished helping the healers deal with the wound on Rafa's arm.

"I know" answered Nata still massaging the base of the nose between the eyes. "Please just give me a day. Because now I feel very angry too. I didn't want to think of any plans when I was angry" he added.

Hearing Nata's words, Aksa said nothing, and then immediately left the place just like that. With a face full of emotion.

"Are you guys going to be okay?" Helen asked doubtfully to Nata.

"Yes, we're fine, Miss Helen. No need to worry" Nata replied later. "I'm sorry, but I'm sorry, miss Helen. I want to rest for a moment. We will talk about any plan later that night" he added as he went to enter the train, and then blasting his body on a long bench inside.

Helen just nodded in small response. In silence Helen was worried for the two young men.

While Aksa was now inside the makeshift tent, sitting next to Rafa who had looked much better after the healer had done first aid to him. The wound on the base of his arm had already closed.

Just like Nata, Aksa also tried to do nothing in her emotional state. He began to put all his weight on the back of the chair while closing his eyes. It is also necessary to relax.
