"This is ridiculous! It doesn't make any sense at all!" Tyrion's yelling seemed already unable to hold back his emotions. "How can a hundred soldiers run out in just one night!" His face looks red.
Joan is back at Raygod Estate. This time, he was in the middle room. Attending a meeting with Tyrion, Xiggaz and some of the generals discuss the failure of their plan to invade Pharos' land.
Joan came out of the land a week ago, by getting a messenger to keep her shop open. So that the attack plan is not suspected by the Pharos.
"According to the story of the soldiers who survived, the opponent they faced was Yllgarian. And it seems like over a hundred" said Xiggaz who sounded doubtful.
"And why wasn't I told there was Yllgarian on that land?!" Tyrion's voice grew higher. "Joan?!" He then shouted to Joan at the end of the room next to Narva's man with a thick beard covering his chin,
Joan's heart would stop as soon as she heard her name mentioned by the emotion Tyrion. "I also had no idea there was a Yllgarian in the woods in the region, Mr. Tyrion" Joan stuttered, in panic.
"What are you doing in that place, until you don't know there are hundreds of Yllgarians living in that place?!" Tyrion's getting worse.
Joan, who knew her mistake, did not answer Tyrion's question. He just kept quiet.
This is also done by everyone in the area at the moment.
"And they dare to send me the indemnity suit? After throwing the heads off those soldiers?" Tyrion sounded so furious that he had forgotten the elegant style he always used. "They've insulted this kingdom!" The next one still looks angry.
Everyone just fell silent waiting for Tyrion's emotions to subside. His subordinates knew, the nature of their master was indeed like that.
"Joan! Tell me about the area. All of them! Without exception!" Shouted Tyrion later.
And Joan quickly began to tell him everything she knew about the city. Everything small and trivial to the absurd that he knew of the land.
"The collection of desert rats must have had an undisclosed power" Tyrion still looked furious, although this time it had subsided a little. "We see if they can still feel arrogant after facing continuous onslaught" he added with a sense of spite.
"Joan, tomorrow you go to the southern border. Help the commanders who are there!" Tyrion's orders were later to Joan.
The Narva girl quickly replied. "Okay, Mr. Tyrion"
-
Two days later Joan arrived at the camp of Pharos' land gate. His arrival to the camp was in the name of Tyrion, until he was welcomed and well entertained in that place.
"Miss Joan" looked a middle-aged Narva man, with a long sideburn on his face, greeting as Joan entered the meeting tent.
In the tent there were three Narva men, including the one who greeted Joan.
"Mr Bedivere, lord Tristan, lord Gawain" Joan greeted back with the courtesy of the nobles.
The man with the long coat was called Bedivere by Joan. Tristan was the youngest among the three. His stature was dashing, with side-length hair that looked very neat.
Joan called Gawain was a middle-aged man with a thick and firm brow. It always makes him look angry.
The three of them were three of the twelve warlords of the Urbar kingdom under Tyrion.
"By the way, isn't this camp too far from their gate, Mr Bedivere?" The first thing Joan asked. That was because he knew, the distance of the encampment in general was two to three times the shooting distance of the bow of the arrow.
"Yes, miss Joan. We must keep this camp far away because they have weapons with great strength and a very wide range" Bedivere replied.
"And they underestimated us. They purposely informed us that our camp had been within range of their weapons all along. But there was no intention of attacking us at the time" Tristan added.
"But actually it's also a fortune for us" this time Gawain said.
"Did the night attack not work?" Joan asks cutting off Gawain's argument with Tristan.
"Also futile. They have a kind of magic that can make torch poles emit very bright rays. Which can be directed anywhere at will" Bedivere replied.
"Therefore, making an attack at night will be more detrimental to our troops. They're easy to target us. While our troops do not know where the attack will come from, because it is blinded by the light" Tristan added.
"Hearing the strange equipment they use, it no longer surprises me" Joan responded.
"It seems you know enough about them, miss Joan. Can you tell us?" This time it looked like Gawain was speaking.
And then Joan began to tell what she knew to the three noble knights.
-
"So therefore, the strategy we will do this time is to use a stone thrower to destroy the weapon, without having to approach" Tristan said the next day, as he was driving Joan to see the soldiers assembling the new stone thrower seemed half-finished.
Joan was just observing, she did not try to comment.
-
Two days later, six stone throwers made of high-looking, sturdy wood were finished assembling.
Together with a hundred soldiers, the army led this time by Tristan was moving towards the south gate. They also appear to be carrying Ram's train.
Joan followed the march of the army only as an observer, and an adviser when necessary. He will always be in the back row. He will not intervene to help if the troops need help, nor does he need to be protected. Joan is still able to take care of herself when needed.
They were still pushing the stone thrower to the distance of the throw, when suddenly an iron pillar shot across one of the tools in two.
This immediately caused panic for all the soldiers. Both who are pushing the tool or who are lined up in front of it.
And inevitably, they pulled back the rest of the stone thrower before another iron pillar attack destroyed it.
"From this distance?" Joan looked analyzed. "It's more than four times the shooting range of an arrow arc. Even outside the distance of the stone thrower" he seemed to squint his eyes while raising his hand in front of the temple to protect from the glare of the sun. He tried to look towards the gate of the land of Pharos which is still far away visible.
-
"You saw it for yourself, didn't you? What happened just now? That's why we moved this camp away from the gate" Tristan sounded very upset. Because his army is not even halfway to the gate.
"What will you do after this?" Ask Joan later.
"Tomorrow morning the witches from the Wan region will arrive at this place. We will attack with the witches" Tristan replied later.
-
A day later it appeared that 20 witches called Tristan from the Wan region had arrived.
Joan recognized the witches by the nickname 'Walking Fortress'. They carved out achievements with their success through the eastern fortress of the kingdom of Augra.
The uniqueness of these witches is, they are able to share and channel the flow of Souls, so as to create a magic wall that is very sturdy and wide.
