04. Finding the Gap
"How's Aks? Did you find him?" Nata asked Aksa while they were having breakfast together the next day.
"Discover what?" Asked Cornelius who looked as if he had just started lifting a fork and knife before him.
"The loopholes of the rules we can use to obtain the land of Pharos from the kingdom of Elbrasta" Nata replied later.
"Searching for loopholes in royal rules?" Orland looked in disbelief.
"Yes, I found an opening to free Pharos' land." Answer Aksa nonchalantly and stay busy with food on her plate.
"What?!" The response was more incredulous than Orland and Cornelius which were almost simultaneously.
"In article 158 the rules on the criteria of useful soil, it is written that which cannot be processed for 5 years more will be classified as barren land, as barren land, article 159 contains about the land that has a nest of dangerous wild animals and can not be quelled within 5 years will be classified as wild land.
And the conclusion is written in chapter 160 that land classified as barren land and wild land, will have the status as dead land." Aksa dissects to feed her snippets of eggs.
"Later article 87 of the regulation on land ownership states that land that has the status of dead land, must always be in royal ownership and cannot be given ownership to anyone." Still busy chewing.

"So?" This time it sounded as if Lucia was impatiently asking.

"What kind of story is that?" Orland asked as he looked towards Lucia and then moved to Jean as if asking for an explanation. Which was then only answered with a small nod by Jean.
"And what with such cheap stories and tricks you immediately believe that they are from another world. It didn't require any elaborate magic to make someone look as if they were falling from the sky" this time Cornelius spoke.
"That's because he both convinced me. Introducing Lily and Val, he was both sent by the Oracle and swore allegiance to these two young men"
Lily looked slightly bent over her body. Then Val also follows what Lily did.
"Loyal oath? Elves and Yllgarians against humans?" Cornelius sounded surprised.

"I'm sorry for my disrespectful behavior" Orland said after confirming from Lucia's face that the girl was not joking.
"It's okay. I instead expected the gentlemen to treat me as a Yllgarian like always"
"How could it be" whispered Aksa.
"And the three of them?" Cornelius tried to change the subject.
"They are hunters from the village of Tirgis" Lucia replied.
And the trio of hunters introduced themselves politely.
"They were hunters who traveled with Aksa and Nata" an addition from Lucia later.
"They're ordinary people, not war legends" said Aksa, who saw Cornelius' cautious manner.
The atmosphere became quiet for some time afterwards. All that was heard was the clang of the fork and the knife of Aksa and Nata.
