Tragedy 137 - Why are you here?

Rei turned to look at Leon who had continuously spoken in his heart. Rei could clearly hear his words.
Rei smiled knots at him making Leon surprised.
Why is he smiling like that? Is he trying to mock me? How dare he mock me, inner Leon.
"I don't mean to make fun of you" Rei said, making Leon even more surprised. Leon widened his eyes.
"What do you mean Rei?" Elvina raised her eyebrows in confusion.
Why is he talking like that? He spoke as if he could read my mind. Leon shifted his focus in the other direction.
"I can indeed read pi.." The shocked Elvina spontaneously silenced Rei's mouth which almost revealed her ability in front of Leon.
Leon looked at her as he saw Elvina silencing Rei's mouth like that.
"S. I will rest at your command, and because I have come here. You can go back to the office, don't you have a meeting?" elvina said quickly. Leon made no sound and just stared at them almost unblinkingly.
"Thank you for bringing me home, then I go in first." Elvina pulls Rei's body and takes him inside the house before he continues his words and reveals them all to Leon.
Leon was glued to his place. His brain was still trying to process what he had just seen. Her heart really hurt to see Elvina behaving like that to Rei.

"You almost told him your ability" Elvina said. He sighed softly. At least he felt relieved for successfully holding Rei to speak honestly. "Let no one else know about the abilities you have. We have to hide our identity from all of them, especially pure humans who are not evolvers, understand? Otherwise, we'll be in danger."
"I understand." Rei nodded.
"Then why are you here? Shouldn't you be home? You should be able to blend in with your family and try to get used to their presence in your life."
"I'm here to make sure of your situation, I'm really anxious when I see you having trouble dealing with that woman. I was trying to help you there, but I saw that guy helped you first. So I decided to wait for you to come home."
"I'm fine as you can see. But why do you know I'm in danger? Did it happen the same way it did a few days ago when I was attacked by Joe?"
"Yes. Just like that, I saw you in my dream being stuck in danger."
