"I'm fine."
"really? Are you sure?" Joe asked her again.
Derek who heard that just nodded his head slowly in response.
"What happened, really? Why am I suddenly with you? And... Where are we?" Derek spread his gaze around. The place where they were at this moment was a foreign place that he really did not know.
"You're at my place" Dorothy said. The woman catches Derek's attention, who immediately turns to him.
"You..." Derek looked at Dorothy with a look of surprise. Dorothy simply smiled at Derek's reaction which explained that she still remembered him.
"You why? Do you know Dorothy?" Joe looked at Derek confused.
"She's the woman I met a year ago."
"What's? So, you guys met before?"
Dorothy nodded her head. Justifying Derek's words just now. "We met a year ago."
"How did you meet?"
"You remember what happened when you destroyed our village and tried to capture the evolvers?"
"After I had defeated all your men, I accidentally met Derek who was trying to find you."
"really?"
"Yes. At that time, I saw it as very difficult. So I'm helping him" Derek murmured.
"It turns out, this isn't the first time you've helped my sister? I'm really grateful. Now I understand why you would help me when I was in trouble that day." Joe said. Everything now made sense to him about the reason why Dorothy was willing to help him even to the point of contradicting the other evolvers.
"No problem. Think of it as a reward because Derek used to help me when I was in trouble." Dorothy smiled faintly.
"But I still don't understand. What the hell has happened? I really don't remember anything. The last thing I remember is..." Derek paused for a moment, trying to dig up his memory for a moment before he was unconscious. But not long after that, Derek suddenly cried for no reason.
"You why? Why are you crying?" Joe and Dorothy looked at him with anxious faces. Derek then explains everything in nature to Joe. His adventures with Pricilla. The woman he accidentally met and briefly entered into his life, accompanying his every struggle until she ended up dead after Martin's men came to arrest him.
"I don't remember what happened after.." Derek muttered in a soft tone. The man tried hard to stop his crying.
Joe and Dorothy who saw that could only try to calm him down after hearing everything he told me.
"It seems after that you were brought back unconscious. Because just as I was trying to catch Elvina and William, they came and threatened me. They said they'd hurt you, and I couldn't possibly let that happen."
"We understand you're sad, but everything has happened, and again this is not your fault. Don't feel so guilty. You also never even knew that there would be an EA agent who discovered your whereabouts, right?" Dorothy rubbed her shoulders slowly. Help Joe calm Derek down.
Derek was speechless, he lowered his head while pondering over everything.
