"How can you?" Elvina did not believe what she saw. He stretched out his hand, palpating his back to make sure. Completely smooth without any abrasions.
Elvina twisted Rei's body, felt his front and looked at him meticulously, turned to look at his face, then his hands, and everything was fine. There really was no injury at all caused by the fight just a moment ago with Joe.
Elvina took a long breath. His brain is still trying to digest every event that happens.
He forced his memories to go back they reworked everything.
"I really remember that you were blocking Joe's power with your body, but how can you be okay?" Elvina looked at Rei. How many times he tried so hard to remember it, it still ended in the same incident.
"Am I hallucinating?" Elvina muttered softly, her eyes turning blank.
"You're not hallucinating" Rei replied. The woman immediately turned to face him who was busy buttoning back her uniform.
"I did use my body to block Joe's power from hurting you."
"Lantas... Why are you okay? I mean, why can't you get hurt at all? Even if you were an evolver, you should have been hurt just as much as me or Joe and the other evolvers fought each other, and then got hurt."
"As it happened when I confronted Joe for the first time, remember? At that time I also came home fine without any injuries."
"Ah.. true! I just remembered that, but how could it be?"
"I don't understand either, my body just healed. It was painful at the initial attack, but after a while the pain was gone and the wounds on my body disappeared as well."

William tried to get up, but unfortunately the energy he had was little, and he would not be able to fight them all. Especially alone as it is today.
William looked at them sharply. He grimaced with the pain that spread all over his body.
Melinda stood right in front of him. He folded his hands, his eyes staring intensely at William who was already powerless to resist again.
Damn, my energy is completely drained. I can't possibly fight them anymore, let alone with my condition like this. Their power is truly terrible. They can even catch me easily even if I use my powers. William's in pain.
Melinda crouched down in front of William, staring at the man in even closer distance.
"You lost, and it's time for you to come with us. Take it easy, you won't be alone. Because Joe was taking care of your brother and trying to catch him."
E... Elvina... So.... is she also in danger? What am I supposed to do? I can't possibly allow myself to be captured by them, nor do I want Elvina to be injured and captured by Joe. I had to do something to escape them, but how? How-to? thought.
