"The game's over" Andrich said, leaving Melinda wide open.
"What do you mean?" Melinda looked at him confused.
"Thank you for exchanging energy. I have an important task that I cannot leave behind. I was just exhausted, and it made the endocrine system in my body unstable. But after your help, and the serum that the professor gave me, I became more energetic and was able to refocus on my work."
"What?!" Melinda's up.
"See you." Andrich turned around, leaving Melinda in a mess.
Damnit damnit! So he's been playing me? Melinda clenched her hands. His emotions suddenly rose to the crown of his head.
He reached into the place of the energy-boosting medicinal pill he had requested from the professor, hurling the object hard until it hit the back of Andrich's head.
"Arghh.." the ringis in pain as it landed smoothly on his head.
Andrich glanced in his direction.
"If you need energy, just eat that medicine and don't make me wish?!" pekik.
Andrich looked down at the place the medicine he had just thrown. He crouched down to take the medicine he was given.
Srakk!
Melinda got up and closed the curtain. He is really embarrassed right now.
"Thank you for the pills." Andrich casually said. In the next second, he stepped away from Melinda who was now alone in the UKS room.
Melinda sat down to fix her messy clothes. He sat on the edge of the bed with both hands covering his face.
He makes me wish more, inwardly.
Blam it!
Door closes. Her loud-sounding voice made Melinda switch her focus. He woke up to curse the person who had just entered, which he thought was Andrich who had returned to take something. But he undoes his intentions when he hears another man's voice.
"I think I saw it wrong. Maybe it was because I was exhausted, so I was hallucinating. What's Aland here for anyway?" Rei mumbled softly.
Melinda was silent in her place. He moved towards the side of the curtain and peered towards the direction of the sound.
He rounded his eyes as soon as he saw Rei standing in front of the exit.
Rei's? What's he gonna do here? Melinda watched the man's movements. The man she had been looking for had come to her herself.
Rei approached one of the existing cabins. He closed the curtains and began to lay his body on the available bed.
Rei closed his eyes and tried to sleep to recover his energy.
Rei's sick? But why can? Evolvers should never be able to get sick because they have a immune system that is more perfect and stronger than pure humans. Melinda tried to digest what she had just seen.
For whatever sake, he actually saw Rei just enter and lie down in one of the existing cabins right opposite the cabin he was in.
"Did I see wrong? But it's impossible. I really saw it was Rei," he murmured softly.
Melinda peeked out the curtain again. The UKS space is so quiet. Only he and Rei were both in the UKS room. While the guard doctor who was supposed to be sitting on his desk, is now away to enjoy lunchtime.
I have to check it out and see if it really is Rei, or just my feelings.
