Tragedy 28 - Suspicion

Joe stops his steps along with his men who have started to get tired.
"Me.. they're really fast," muttered one of the men with gasping breaths.
"Argh! We failed to catch him again!" Joe ruffled his hair in frustration. For some reason how many times, they failed to capture Elvina.
"Why isn't he affected by your power? Is he also an evolver?" One of his men asked.
Joe stared at the astonished looking man. "I don't know either, this is definitely not the first time. I met him yesterday, and he's both unaffected by my power" Joe explained.
"She seems to be an evolver just like us." The others are making a sound.
"But what makes it strange is why the bike is not affected by Joe's power? Shouldn't the bike stop and not be able to move when Joe uses his power?"
"Something's wrong with that guy."
"We're gonna find out about him. It could be that he is an evolver who escaped just like our target, if that is true. We have to move fast to catch him."
Joe was silent at the talk of his men.
Come to think of it, this is weird. Why is his motorbike completely unaffected by my power? Does he have the power to make the thing he touches unaffected by the power to stop my time? thought Joe.

"Look, you better go back to the base and find out about that guy. I'll stay here and look for them. If you get any information about that boy, call me right away. We must act as quickly as possible so that the professor remains entrusting us with this task." Joe's instructing his men.
"I'll call you if you need help" Joe said. His men nodded simultaneously. The next second some men close their bodies to the bodies of other colleagues who have the ability to move quickly. In one blink of an eye, they all vanished from Joe's sight.
Joe shook his hand in the air. In one move, the condition that was originally frozen, returned to normal.
"I'd better think of a way to catch them. I'm going to devise a plan so that this failure doesn't keep repeating." Joe clenched both his hands tightly. In the next instant, Joe stepped away from where he was.

Rei stopped the bike as soon as he felt that they were far enough away from Joe and his men. It stopped by the side of the road.
"It seems like things are starting to be safe" Rei murmured. Elvina looked back to make sure.
"They're not after us anymore" he said.
"Thank God." Rei heaved a sigh of relief. Elvina moved, getting off her bike.
"I want to rest for a while" he said, who then approached one of the iron benches on the side of the road near the park where he stopped.
Rei took off his helmet, he got off his bike and approached Elvina who was already sitting there.
