"She's exchanged her examination data with mine for me to fail the surgery. She's the best sister, and the only family I have." Derek smiled wryly considering the events of the past. His eyes even glazed over.
Dorothy was silent without a word. He only noticed Derek's calm face which flashed a smile on his face.
"So, you don't have to worry. I won't tell anyone about you being here." Derek turned to look at her with a smile.
"Thank you."
Derek just nodded slowly in response to his words then refocused on his meal.
Silence enveloped their togetherness. Not a single word was thrown from each other's lips, even they had run out of topics to discuss.
Dorothy was still like the previous minutes. Staring at Derek even barely blinked.
"Is there anything you want to say?" asked Derek who felt uncomfortable with Dorothy's intense gaze on him.
"Can I hold you?" Dorothy asked back with teary eyes.
Derek was silent for a moment. He was quite stunned by the sentence that had just been thrown from the old woman.
But seeing it like this, made Derek unable to say no.
"Yes, sure." Derek spread his arms and hugged Dorothy.
In her arms, Dorothy felt a warmth. And Derek felt the same way.
Derek's hug really felt close to him. Feels familiar, and feels so comfortable.
"Your arms are so comfortable, you feel so familiar, and I feel like we've been so close for so long" Dorothy said with her eyes closed.
Unknowingly, her tears fell. He remembered his children.
After a while. They finally broke his embrace and clashed at each other.
Dorothy wiped her tears. While Derek, trying to hold back his tears so as not to escape from his iris which is now glazed.
"It's in your arms.I feel as if my mom is holding me that tight" Derek said in a slightly stifled voice holding back a cry.
Dorothy forced a smile towards him even though her heart was really hurting. Her tears never stopped, especially after Derek said that.
"By the way, it's getting late. I had to leave before the guards realized I was running away to find Joe." Derek got up from his sitting position.
"I hope you're not so good and have a good dream tonight. Forget what happened today, and go to sleep" he added.
"You too" said Dorothy.
"I'm leaving." Derek left her alone. During the step, the man occasionally turned his head and waved at him with a smile engraved on his handsome face.
Dorothy could only quietly fixate on the spot while smiling back and waving at him.
His figure continued to move away until it disappeared among the forest trees he saw.
Once again, Dorothy was alone.
This time completely alone. Only the pounding of the waves now accompanied his dark half-night.
Dorothy was silent in front of the bonfire as she continued to fill her stomach with the food she got.
However, he had to fill his stomach for his power to return.
After being satisfied with silence while watching the waves pound, the woman then moved towards her secret room.
Dorothy went into her dark arsenal. Arriving there, he immediately restrained himself before falling asleep.
