Using a special helicopter he stole, Joe went to the base.
After a few hours, he finally arrived at the island where his sister was.
Joe landed the object in a place far out of reach. He immediately ran out of his helicopter as soon as he heard the evolvers who realized his presence running towards his helicopter.
Joe ran with all his might, heading towards the center of the island so that he could arrive at the laboratory where his sister was.
He slipped into the laboratory.
Bruk!
Joe landed on both feet as he managed to evade some tight guard. He immediately stepped towards the main laboratory where he and Derek had incubated.
Joe used emergency access. This is beneficial for him, because the security system will not be able to track his data.
The state of the night was so calm and at least people who were watching, making Joe freely go in there.
He immediately approached several tubes lined up to fill the laboratory.
Derek, I'm going to free you at all costs, thought Joe, who kept moving until he finally found Derek among some other tubes.

Joe looked silently at his sister, who was in a tube containing the serum evolgesysv-03.
Both eyes glazed. He slowly removed the tube and stood right in front of it.
Joe reached out his hand, rubbing the tube containing his sister.

Laboratory, twelve years ago.

Joe walked down the open hallway to another part of the laboratory building. He was about to return to his room after undergoing an examination in the main laboratory in the west.
Unlike other evolvers, Joe is special. He is not guarded by an Evolab or a guard who usually watches over his every action.
Joe wanders alone.
Joe smiled wryly as he realized who was standing on the edge of the passageway.
He immediately approached her who was sitting there alone.
"Derek!" call him while patting the shoulder of the man who is his sister.
Derek looked up at Joe who had just arrived and made him shocked at his sudden presence.
"You why? Why are you pensive here? Is there anything you're thinking?" Joe took a seat next to his sister.
Derek was silent for a moment. His head bowed, hiding his two teary eyes holding back tears.
"Why?" Joe looked confused. "Did something happen? Tell me, what makes you like this?"
"My head hurts," Derek shrieked after a moment of silence.
Derek looked up at Joe who was still waiting for his sentence. "I just did an examination. After surgery, my head hurts a lot."
"Then what happened? What did they say?"
"They said there's a problem with the chipset in my brain, and they're going to do another operation to fix it."
"What?!" Joe rounded his eyes.
"Yes, that's what I heard from them."
"But why can? I don't understand…"
"Evolab035 said that every component of the chipset installed in my brain was burned due to the opposite reaction between the chipset and my brain system. It caused the components to burn."
Derek grimaced softly, enduring the sudden pain attacking his head.
"Argh…"
"You okay?" Joe was worried about his situation.
"Just a little bit sick. But, I'm fine," Derek muttered in a soft voice.
"Really?"
