"Derek..." Rei gawked at the man in the photo. So did Louis who was equally surprised by what he saw.
"So, is he really Derek? That means..."
"He was the reincarnation of her" Louis said.
"Then the boy I saw that..."
"Maybe it's his grandson."
"His grandchild?" Rei frowned. He turned to look at another frame containing a photo of the old man with a small child he saw with his ability. The boy was really the same person he saw. "You're right..."
"It's hot chocolate, sorry to keep you waiting a long time." The old crane walked over to the place where Rei was. The man approached the table and put a tray containing his drink on the table. The arrival of the man instantly caught Rei's attention. He turned to the direction of the voice and found the man was busy putting a mug of hot chocolate he had just made. Rei who realized it then moved from his place and immediately approached Derek there.
"You Derek?" tanyakanya. The man was stunned. He spontaneously looked up at Rei with a look of surprise.
"How did you know? We haven't even met, and I haven't mentioned my name at all."
"That's. That's your picture, right?" Rei pointed towards the photo on the frame that was on the shelf. Derek nodded his head, still with a puzzled look on his face.
"Wait, explain to me why you know me?"
"Look! Maybe this doesn't make sense. Believe it or not, I'm from 2020. I came here because I was trying to investigate the vision I saw. With that ability of mine, I see you're giving your granddaughter strength."
"That's... I can't possibly give it to her. I've become a pure human after all. I lost my power. More precisely I erased my power once I got married. I just don't want my kids to be part of those bad guys."
"So you remember the professor?"
"of course. Let alone remember. The man even went to see me a lot and asked me to come to his lab."
"What's? That means you're conspiring with them?"
"You're wrong. I am their enemy. That's why I erased my powers. After all, I came because I planned to destroy them from within. I even often take some samples of potions from their lab for me to use against them back."
