Rei's attention was suddenly sidetracked as he realized the incongruity that was happening around him. He spreads his view. It was frozen as if time had stopped spinning.
Rei flabbergasted. This was a phenomenon he had never seen before.
Elvina looked up, her attention changing as Rei looked around. Elvina switched focus. He was surprised not to play when he realized what was happening.
Lothawat! Evolver, Elvina circulated her gaze quickly, looking for the whereabouts of the person who had stopped time. The main culprit who had made the phenomenon, happened.
"What's this about? Why... is everything frozen?" Rei mumbled softly. Elvina looked at him.
Rei was completely unaffected by this power? That means...he's an evolver too? If this is true, then it makes sense, why can he read my mind, the inner Elvina.
Between the silence of the situation, the sound of walking footsteps, managed to grab the attention of Rei, and Elvina. Both reflexes turned towards the direction of the sound.
A well-built man, walked towards them. Elvina looked panicked.
"Joe.." He muttered slowly. The woman quickly flipped her body position back to Rei.
"Stay behind me" Elvina told him.
"What's wrong? Do you know him?" Rei's confused.
"Will I tell you later. Most importantly now, no matter what happens, stay behind me" whispered Elvina who was able to hear.
"It turns out you've been here since. Do you know that? I've been looking all day for you all day" Joe Apollo said in a loud voice. He is an evolver man with the power of time control and electric shock.
"It turns out you never get tired of chasing me" said Elvina.
"Of course, I'll never feel tired. Because arresting you and your sister has become my first duty. I'm gonna keep looking for you until I actually catch you and take you to the professor."
Joe's attention switches as he realizes there are others unaffected by his evol powers.
"Ck. I thought he was your sister. But, it turns out you're with someone else. Who her? It seems that he is not an ordinary person either."
Elvina spread out both her hands. "She has absolutely nothing to do with you. Don't you dare touch her, or you'll face me."
"Looks like he meant a lot to you."
It's interesting, maybe I can use it to catch Elvina and her sister, Joe thought.
Rei was silent looking at Joe who was standing there. He could clearly hear Joe's thoughts.
What was the purpose of capturing Elvina and her sister? Do they have problems? Rei.
"Better, you go. Don't dream you can catch me or my sister. We will never go back to that place! And not once again, you call that old man a professor. He's not worth mentioning by that name, he's just a decrepit old man utilizing his brain for crazy experiments!" shouted Elvina.
"You seem to have forgotten where the power of evolution you have come from. You're ungrateful." Joe clenched both his hands. He began to get upset because Elvina again vilified the person she respected.
"thank you? Don't expect me to thank a crazy guy like him. Because of her, my life and my sister's changed."
"No idea at the profit!" Joe flicked his hand which instantly made high-voltage electricity grab him.
