"But why did I create you?" ask Rei. This time Louis was silent, clenching his mouth without intending to answer. "Why are you quiet?" rei said after a moment of silence without a sound.
Louis sighed softly before then replying, "master created me because you need someone who is always there to listen to you and accompany you. Because it used to…"
Louis hung his words. He suddenly remained silent with his head bowed without even bothering to face Rei.
Rei looked at his face. Louis was suddenly silent and did not continue his sentence at all, it made Rei curious about what Louis was trying to hide from him.
"Because first, what?" Rei broke his daydream.
"No, forget what I said just now, sir."
"Why don't you want to continue your sentence? Is there something you're trying to hide from me?" Rei looked at him. He tried to read Louis's heart and mind, but it seemed to fail because Rei could not hear him speak in his heart and mind at all, or maybe he was not thinking about anything?
"It's nothing. I just don't want you to know this from me. As time goes by, you'll know what reason you created me." Louis looked at him.
I don't know why but I felt Louis was hiding something from me, and from his tone, it seemed like he was trying to protect me by not telling me what happened to me in the past. Butwhy? What have I been through in the past? Rei was silent in his daydream.
"I have always been there, asleep in you. I'm trapped in another part of you, sir, all this time I can only wait for the right moment to be free and keep an eye on you from there. Making sure that you're okay and not facing everything alone."
"Waiting for you to be free? Then how can you be free? Is it through a dream?"
"No. All this time, master had no recollection of what had happened in the past, and the memory of me was also erased. Therefore, I cannot meet with the master. Many times I tried to connect with the master, through dreams, but I kept failing. Until last night I managed to meet the master in a dream. I was only free after master finally mentioned my name, and we re-connected. I'll only appear when master mentions my name, and will only leave after the elder orders me to leave."
"Then, do you know what happened to me in the past to make me lose my memory? I checked with the doctor and they said there was nothing that made me amnesiac. They said I was okay. Do you know what caused it?"
Louis closed his lips again as Rei asked why he had lost his memory.
"It's late, sir tomorrow have to go to school better you rest." Louis suddenly changed their subject.
"You still haven't answered my question" said Rei, who didn't heed his words.
Louis remained silent for a moment before then answering quietly. "I'll answer when the time is right, which certainly isn't for now."
