Tragedy 612 - Derek in Rei's memory

"Since then, I have come to my senses and regret all the quarrels that have been going on between me and him. I wish I could see my sister again. After that, I thought that I understood what Elvina was feeling when I took William away from her. I've come to realize that being separated from your brother isn't good, and it must be hard for you."
"You already know that, but why do you keep doing it?"
"Because I don't have a choice. I was swallowed by the professor to follow his wishes. And so, I kept following him. Until then you're trying to save William by devising a plan and setting him free. But after that, one of the guards assigned by the professor came and told me that Derek was in their hands…"
"…As you know, I was pressed to bring William. But I finally decided to release her because I didn't want what I felt for others."
"Yes, we understand."
"What happened after you let us escape?" ask Rei.
"I used the helicopter they brought and immediately went to the opposite island to free Derek. But I was caught, and I saw Derek unconscious in their hands."
Joe explains everything he has experienced to Rei and the others in detail, regarding the events of how his attempt to escape and save Derek until he can finally arrive on this island and meet the others.
Rei and his friends listened carefully until Joe finally finished explaining everything.
"Looks like you love your sister very much…"
"How can't it? He is the only family I have. My love is like your love for your sister" Joe replied to Elvina.
"And our affection as brothers was as great as our affection for Rei." William added.
"By the way, can we meet your sister?" ask Rei.
Arriving inside the room, Elvina and the others could see Derek lying unconscious on the bed. That guy's still locked up in there.
Rei was suddenly silent as he looked at Derek. His head hurt again and the words of the man he had heard were heard again. He again saw a fragment of his memory, and this time he saw Derek's face there.
"Rei, are you okay?" Elvina looked at him with an anxious look on her face.
"What else do you remember?" ask Lucy.
"He. I've met Derek too" Rei murmured.
"Really?" Elvina looked at him in surprise.
"Yes. I don't know how exactly. My memory is still vague. But I could see his face clearly, he also had a chance to say something to me."
"What did he say when he met you?" ask Joe.
"He said it like this. 'Don't be afraid. I'm not gonna catch you. Go...' as he says."
Elvina and the others frowned. "Why is Derek talking like that?"
"Don't she talk like that when you run away?" muttered Elvina guessing.
"No way." Joe.
