Tragedy 703 - We're just pretending

Derek threw the candy that had been mixed with tranquilizers into the closet and then doused it. It's been many times that Martin and Miles have come in turn, they keep choking him and Joe with the same drugs. Unfortunately they were completely unaware that Derek was aware of it.
Derek realized it was a sedative after he noticed Joe's reaction after being given the candy. Joe screamed in tears, asking to go home. Then Martin suddenly gave her a candy that was one hundred percent the same shape, and as soon as he ate it, the boy fainted. Derek had actually eaten it, too, and both fainted. But since that incident, he realized that it was no ordinary candy. So every time Martin came and gave him and Joe candy before he came home, he tried to throw it away without them knowing.
After solving the candy problem, he then approached Joe who was sitting in a corner. As usual, they would start pretending to faint because after this, there would be some guards coming and making sure of them. "I've thrown away the candy, it's time we did the plan" Derek muttered in a soft voice.
Joe just nodded then lay down with her. Joe doesn't even understand why his brother is that smart. Even the past few days thanks to his idea, they managed to trick everyone.
When Joe asked where he learned all that, Derek just said that all he learned from the movie they had been watching. Films about detectives. He learned all those tricks from observing every detail of his film. Joe was really amazed because his brother turned out to have a talent that was really extraordinary, even he could memorize every detail in the film they watched. While all this time he watched it just because he considered the way the detective in solving cases always seemed interesting and cool, and he could not even remember in detail the small parts in the film.
They were silent for a while. Then the two heard a voice coming from the door. At first they thought it was the sound of the guards, but once they realized the sound they heard was different, Derek and Joe peeked over to make sure.
"What?" Tiana panic. He hurried over to Rivanno to make sure. It turned out that true what he said, they were completely sprawled. "Gosh, what did that guy do? Is he trying to kill her? Obviously I saw that he was alive."
"What should we do now?"
"I don't know, if Dorothy finds out about this, she will be very sad" Tiana muttered with a panicked face. Hearing their mother's name being mentioned, Derek and Joe wake up and turn to Tiana and Rivanno. The two adults were shocked when they realized they were okay.
"You're Dorothy's number? What do you mean by our mother?" said Joe.
"God! You guys surprised me. You guys okay?" ask Tiana. Derek and Joe nodded their heads.
"We're just pretending."
