Tragedy 29 - How can it be?

"We'd better treat your wounds." Rei sat down beside Elvina.
"Later. I want to gather my energy first."
"But if you're not treated immediately. Later, the wound could be infected."
"That's not gonna happen. I'm an evolver, we have stronger endurance than ordinary humans. In addition, our body tissues are more perfect. Wounds like this will not leave marks after our bodies recover" Elvina explained.
"Oh.. that's it."
"Now I want to ask you. How'd you do that?" Elvina looked at Rei seriously.
Rei raised his brow next to be confused. "Do what?" Rei asked back.
"Delivery. How can you do telepathy? Are you an evolver? Before, you could read my mind. Then now, you can telepathize with me. How can you do all that? Then, how do you know I'm in danger?" Elvina asked in succession. Rei was silent for a moment, his brain spinning. Come to think of it, Rei also did not know for sure how he could do all that.
"I don't know either" he said, scratching his back.
Elvina frowned. "You don't know?"
"Everything just happens. I'm not sure how I can hear your head, nor do I know how to telepathize with you. Everything happened spontaneously, and without me noticing."
"Then how do you know I'm in danger?"
"Maybe you won't believe it. But I saw you meet that guy in my dream" Rei explained.
"Dreams?"
"Yes. I dreamt you were in danger when I accidentally fell asleep."
"I don't understand. If you were an evolver, you shouldn't have more than two abilities."
Elvina sighed softly while bowing her head. His eyes closed for a while, taking a short pause before explaining what exactly evolvers are and why they can have abilities beyond the normal limits of normal humans.
"Evolver is.." muttered Elvina as she opened her eyes. His attention suddenly caught a clock on his rotating wrist. The clock showed at ten in the morning.
"Oh, jeez! I forgot something," cried Elvina as she got up from her seat. Rei was surprised.
"What's wrong?"
"I still have to work. I have to get back to the office oh, wait! I forgot that I was asked to buy coffee and snacks for my boss. How'this? What am I supposed to do? If I hadn't brought what he asked for, the warden would have been furious." Elvina started to panic. Rei wakes up trying to calm Elvina down.
"Calm down, don't worry too much. I'll help you," Rei said. Elvina looked at him.
"really? Ah. thank you, Rei." Elvina smiled with relief. "Then let's go. We have to arrive before he realizes I'm late for hours." Elvina pulled Rei's hand away from there.
Rei immediately got on his bike. Riding Elvina behind him and driving her away to his office.
Rei dropped Elvina in front of the office and asked her to wait while he went to buy her what to buy.
"You sure you want to buy it for me?" ask Elvina.
"Yes. You better wait here and recover your energy. I'll be back as soon as I can so you don't get mad at your boss."
"Thank you, Rei." Elvina smiled.
"Not a problem" Rei said.
