After speaking with June on call, Will invites her to dinner at the restaurant to talk about the details.
Since this would be the first time Will had officially invited a girl to a restaurant, even if it was for work-related purposes, he still did not want to be considered as someone inexperienced.
So she searches the web about various things to watch out for when inviting a girl for dinner and to make herself look presentable.
Most of the articles are related to dates and such things, so they are not very helpful.
Will had bought some clothes on the same day he got money from the script [17 Again].
It's not something fancy or expensive, because Will believes that a good personality determines a man, not his clothes.
Even the restaurant where he called her was an ordinary restaurant, neither too expensive nor too cheap.
He was able to explain most of the credit to him in order to save money to create [The Blair Witch Project], but mostly just because she doesn't really care about what she's wearing or what she's eating as long as it's clean and hygienic.
Later afternoon…
Will was wearing a plain black shirt and black pants. He tucked the shirt, made his black leather belt visible.
She has a haircut, with her hair cut in quiffs. He looks quite handsome because of his well-kept body and well-fitting clothes.
Her hairstyle is perfect for her, although it is new for 2010. Even the barber was surprised when Will guided him to trim all his side hairs; he told Will not to blame him later.
In addition to all things, Will has rented a taxi up to Lakeside Restaurant, where he makes an appointment with June.
A young man and a young woman meet at a restaurant to make an appointment, that alone will make anyone laugh, either out of disbelief or at the vagaries of the situation.
Will sat by the table near the glass fountain. The lighting is relatively dim, as it is a place more frequented by romantic couples than entrepreneurs.
A waiter comes to Will to ask for his order, and Will tells him that he is waiting for someone and will order when he comes.
The waiter then excused himself, and Will put his head over his hands, seemingly thinking of something.
He looked at the screen in front of him, more specifically. He had received a system prompt when he signed the contract, he did not check it there so it was not considered as something strange.
He was the only one who could see the screen.
[Congratulations on successful contract signing and get $500,000. You have been rewarded 50,000 Points of Fame.]
So he basically earned 1 million USD from script sales. $500rb from MCA and 50rb FP, which equates to the same amount.
He thought if he could buy something from the system in that amount, but he still picked up something rather slowly.
There was no need to rush, things that were in a hurry would only make him regret some if not all of his actions later.
As he was busy thinking about all this, his eyes suddenly wavered from the system screen, the screen disappeared, and a beautiful Juni appeared in front of him.
She was wearing a grey bodycon dress with a long, cream-colored coat on it. He held a small leather handbag as he walked towards Will.
He waved a little and smiled as he saw Will watching him.
Her eyes could not hide her appreciation for June, as she looked extremely beautiful with her makeup.
She wore thin makeup, making her green eyes glow very brightly in dim light.
"Hello, Will."
"Hi, June. Please sit down."
Will shook hands with her and pointed towards the chair opposite him.
As he sat down, he praised.
"You look handsome; you have to debut as an actor."
Will just smiled and returned his praise,
June's eyes sparkled as soon as she spoke of that handbag.
Girls like to talk about their stuff or things like their nail polish. It is always a good choice to mention something like that if you want them to be open to you.
This is something Will learned from the internet.
Later, June realizes that she is babbling a lot and apologizes. He then asked.
"Oh yeah, may I know what the plot of the movie is like?"
"Sure, why not? So it's like this......"
Will begins to explain how the plot goes and how he plans to record it. They tell stories about shooting styles, about different characters and how their roles and plots will make the film enough to shake the hearts of the audience.
"The plot is very good. Although the idea of recording from a camcorder is interesting, I don't think you should use it."
June gave her opinion. He had already seen Will in a new light after listening to his plot. It is well thought out; nothing gives the impression that a beginner makes it.
But inevitably he felt disliked by the idea of using a camcorder to record the entire film.
Will expected such a reaction as no one was using the 'Found Recording Technique' in the movies at the moment.
He did some research and found that the last film to use the 'Found Footage Technique' in the world was made 30 years ago.
After that no one made a movie using the same method. Therefore, usually people will complain about this method.
But Will knows what the plus of such a method is, and he will use the same points to persuade June.
"Janitor of the Asylum' movie'. It was created 30 years ago by the same method. If that movie scares you, you can call me tomorrow."
Will had watched the movie, despite being old and not having much graphics and such, it still managed to scare him off quite a bit.
He was sure that if June were to watch it, she would know what was good about the 'Founded Recording Technique'.
As he thought that, he couldn't help but ask,
"By the way, how can you make a decision so soon? I mean, about the audition."
He was very curious about this. She was sure she had not left a deep impression that she would agree to audition so soon.
June smiled at his question as she teasingly said,
"Maybe I just want to see you again?"
Will rolled his eyes as he laughed.
He asked again and he answered honestly.
"I'm trying to take a chance here. I'm 22 years old and haven't gotten a lead role, even in a small movie. I am tired of acting as an extra. I just want one chance to prove myself, to prove what I'm really capable of."
“Because you plan to give one of the lead roles, I will take a chance here and audition for it. Perhaps, you will be the lucky talisman I need? You can call it stupid. gamble, I guess?"
He said when he could not help but laugh bitterly at the end.
Will can sympathize with her, but he must praise her courage. He was willing to act in small films just to show his talent to the world.
Will can feel it. If he did not extend his hand towards her, it would only take a few years before she became famous by herself.
It was good that he stretched out his hand as long as he was desperate; it would make him owe her because he was sure [The Blair Witch Project] would be a great success.
As they spoke, the waiter came again and asked for an order. This time, Will orders the food June chose for them. They eat and talk about things.
When he came to the conclusion that he would contact him tomorrow about what he thought of the 'Found Recording Technique' by watching the film Janitor of the Asylum.
