The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 157

Conference Room, OP Studios.

“So, as I said, the whole premise of the show, [Friends], is about six friends, who lived in New York in the 90s and lived everyday life. That includes romance, friendship, marriage, work, etc. The idea is to make everything relatable, and funny at the same time.” Will said he ended the presentation he presented to executives gathered from OP Studios and ICM.

Amanda was instrumental in bringing the meeting to life.

He had to brainstorm the details of the contract for a temporary collaboration between their companies, and his expertise in navigating the corporate side of the field is critical if he is to remain critical to the success of the show once the idea is presented to people in the conference room.

“That idea certainly has benefits, but are you sure about this sitcom? Was it? Since it requires a live audience, what about the action scenes? Won't have all that? Performing a live action sequence in front of an audience will be difficult. ” Michael Williams interrupts.

Will looked at her in disbelief for a moment, and replied, “Well, that's the problem, isn't it? There was no action throughout the show. It is not meant to have any action at all. It is meant to be funny and relatable. It's a situational comedy, a sitcom. And live audiences are, in effect, to gauge people's reactions to certain jokes, and their responses. We can then change the script or situation based on their feedback.”

He could understand why Michael Williams asked about action sequences in shows, because this world has no concept of a TV show that does not operate on some direct conflict or mystery, or action.

The whole idea of a related sitcom is new, and just like how [Friends] introduced the idea, in the previous reality, Will wants to maintain the honor of doing it here as well.

Richard Persons nodded, looking a little excited at the prospect of the idea Will had put forward, and as he asked.

“Clear with you, Will. The idea of a live audience is certainly profitable, can you give me a brief example of the type of scenario the event will feature. I have to agree with the CEO of my company, that the lack of direct conflict or a thorough plot seems a bit difficult to understand.

How was the show supposed to catch the attention of the audience after a number of episodes in the show, it could finally be seen that we were trying to sell the audience to the boring lives of six people, why would they care about this life? the people?"

Will thought about the question and answered.

“That's the charm of the show. I wanted to portray the lives of six friends in New York as well as make it comedic, witty, and funny. I want to address the day-to-day problems people face and draw them into familiarity, not conflict. The main conflict in the story is not a giant labeled 'enemy', but their own feelings and emotions.

The audience, over a period of time, will see the development of each of my characters, as they learn, adapt, and address issues that Hollywood has not dealt with in general. We don't need a big 'enemy' to make a good show, or tell a good story.”

Will can see that he has convinced OP Studios shareholders with it. But somehow, Michael Williams seemed annoyed. He didn't know if he had done anything wrong, and to be honest, he didn't care.

That was when Lucius Wolf interrupted.

“OK, I can see where you are trying to go with this, but can you explain why you want a three-season contract from us? We can let him go for a trial for one season and then decide if we want to continue the show as usual. Why three-season clause?”

Will looked at Amanda, as he let her handle the question. He nodded at her and said.

“[Friends] is Dream Vision, OP Studios, and co-production with ICM. But in the end, Dream Vision intends to retain ownership rights for the show. We grant RBO licensing rights, for them to stream events on their platform. The three-season contract clause is basically a way for us to guarantee that the show stays alive for a minimum of three seasons. The idea is quite new for the industry, we want to stay put for three seasons before we decide to extend that contract further or not.”

It was half the truth that Will decided to give them. As a way to calm them down. He intended to use the established RBO program's fan base, and persuade them to watch his show.

Finally, after three seasons, after its own platform, Netflix, gets up and running, it will pull streaming rights from RBO and stream the rest of the show on its own platform. Holding ownership rights will keep him nice and legal for her.

“OK, I guess. I can understand that you are treating the whole show as an experiment on our platform. What about this clause here? It said 'The live casting of the event will be decided by the team from Dream Talent Agency'. I think we should have the opportunity to use some artists from our agency as well.”

Michael Williams cut a little rough. In fact, he wanted to use actors from ICM primarily so that he could maintain shadow control over the show, which was only possible if their artists were to fill casting.

Will looked at her for a few seconds and replied, “You can discuss the details of the contract with Amanda later. Unless you give the green light from your side to start pre-production of the show, that's it.”

“Actually, you can consider projects that were given the green light by me. You have an incredible history in Hollywood, and your record reflects that. I'm sure, [Friends] will give similar results.”

Richard Persons said kindly, cutting all other arguments from Michael Williams for now.

Ruby white.

This restaurant is almost a playground for Dream Vision and DTA employees. Hotel managers have given member cards to most of the DTA and Dream Vision department heads.

They will come to this place for most of their personal meetings and enjoy high quality food at lower prices than regular customers.

Right now, an unusual guest was sitting with two other people in this restaurant. It was a black and skinny man.

Marcus Brown eventually recovered when signs of buffing were seen around his face and body. While overall, he still had a very minimal look.

The other two people sitting with him were Jeffrey and Jennifer. They are currently having lunch while talking about Will's next project.

A manuscript was placed on a table near Marcus.

It was the script Will had prepared for Marcus to come back for more. Will believes if Marcus makes a popular movie, his past will be exposed and the media will try to attack him. The best way to retaliate against this situation is to make a movie in which her outstanding performance leaves no room for anything else to say.

Will wants to give his script to Marcus personally, but he doesn't have much free time on his busy schedule. So he sent Jeffrey and Jennifer to deal with this problem.

The film Will chose for Marcus' return to Hollywood was a film from the previous world called 'Hitch'.

It was a movie in which a famous slapper from his previous life acted. The film was about Alex 'Hitch' Hitchens, a professional dating expert, who helps men seduce the woman of their dreams. However, a gossip columnist soon begins to challenge everything he thinks he knows about romance.

“We are in talks with Foxstar for this film. They have demanded the script and will most likely be half producing the film with Dream Vision if they like the script. They will also be distributors.”

Jennifer said as Marcus excitedly nodded his head while eating his food. He ate like he hadn't eaten properly in a long time. Although the current role and agreement was important to him, food still took most of his attention at this time.

“Yes, I just hope the new hatchling doesn't flap its wings too hard. It won't make it fly, and instead make it dirty.”

jefri. He clearly had a bad impression of the new chairman of Foxstar.

Currently, Will has decided to work with Foxstar due to Spencer's request. He wanted to give the old man face because they had known each other since the beginning of Will's career.

In addition to Foxstar, Dream Vision is also trying to forge a partnership with studio Z for his next Leo film, [Catch Me If You Can]. Will's goal is to expand his contacts and influence to thrive, and the best way to do that is by working on a project with the top six.

Kron Studios has also shown their interest in the film as Leo is currently considered a star after his first film.

Unwittingly, Will slowly becomes a goose that lays golden eggs for the top six, making them reliant on him with his projects spread across almost every studio.

Even Mega Works wanted another partnership with Will, even if it was small.
