The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 163

There were three rookie actresses whispering to each other even before the audition started while glancing at the group of actors present there to audition themselves for [Friends].

They were still more than an hour early, yet not surprised to see all the faces present there, more energetic than ever.

The closed wooden covered theater was booked for a week by the DTA for auditions, and since 9am the actors and actresses, with a lot of hope and passion in it, kept coming into the studio.

“I've seen a guy in the front corner at [Fair Dare], who's cute!”

"Oh!!!! I know! I feel a bit nervous seeing everyone here, the number is constantly increasing ?! ”

The tallest among the three of them commented while still staring at everyone, one by one who entered.

The whispers are endless. But among all those whispers, their posture was professionally maintained.

Even though their words sound like a group of fans obsessed with actors get to the point, they maintain a stoic face to show that they are professionals and on the same level as everyone else. 'Pretend until they succeed' they said.

As soon as the different local agencies heard and found out about the [Friends] audition, they know there is a high chance that even low-class actors might get the chance to show their talent and climb their career ladder with this opportunity.

With every whisper spread, every step a person took within the theater, their expectations and belief in their skills and talents increased. It was the same for everyone, regardless of their gender, age, or level.

Even acting, never came or went to the top with such factors, which were the original factors here, with over a thousand actors, everyone was hoping for a chance.

They all filled the room in the theater. The silence of the morning was enough to echo the steps of his shoes as staff members opened the theater, now filled with voices. Not even a shout would be heard clearly among thousands of people.

The first round of auditions for [Friends] began and one after another, the actors auditioned by DTA agents and Susan, the producer for [Friends].

There are different types of actors and actresses. Some are too ready and ready, while others are basically here to waste their time and the judges.

At one point, an agent continued.

“From whichever agency you come from, you won't be chosen like this. Tony, let the staff know that we do not accept any actors from Huntsman Agency.”

That's how intense the audition was. The entire panel including the casting director was very judgmental for some obvious reasons.

After a few hours that felt like forever to the participants, they decided to take a short break. During that time, several actors walked through the exit knowing that they had no chance.

But the majority keep knowing that anything can happen and that they need to give their best; which is everyone's thinking at some point.

The two staff members were discussing and whispering amongst themselves while looking at all the nervous participants in front of them.

“Is Will Evans going to recruit more budding actors? I mean, it works for him like ALL THE TIME!”

Staff member A whispered to his friend, staff member B.

“This is absolutely impossible because of all this hassle for the TV series, and there are many characters in it. But then again, anything is possible with Mr. Evans. Let's hold that,”

Staff member B who was attached to his friend's arm whispered in response.

They watched others from behind the hall as the break seemed to excite everything here and there.

“Ah, girl! If only Mr Evans had been interested in me! I will be queen in no time! I might even be able to pull some strings for you, ” Blonde Staff Member A commented as he fainted thinking about it.

“Haha.. Don't joke, even if you spend two more lives praying to every god above, it won't be possible. But you can try another man, maybe we can find someone here.”

They giggled and continued their journey to do the things assigned to them.

***

Will Evans, Jenifer Charlies, Susan Levin, and several other agents from the DTA now sit down to audition the last hundred actors chosen from the previous audition.

"Today I hope to find the face needed for the remaining slots."

Jennifer said while Susan pointed her crossed fingers indicating that she was expecting the same.

“But why do you think all this is necessary, Will? I mean, it would be a lot easier if we took some actors who make everyday TV audience feel comfortable.”

He continued and asked the question that bothered him the most.

“Yes, I understand what you want to say, but I really want to see some new faces in the TV show business. The supporting cast will be a proven actor and if we can't get it from the audition, we have no choice but to go with an actor from the DTA. It won't be that bad either.”

"You're right, as always, Mr. Evans."

One of the agents said, who was listening to the whole conversation.

The audition began after a while and the last hundred were exhausted inside out. It was quite noticeable with some, but others were too good at hiding; the advantage of being a good actor.

Five actors will come to the stage and they will be asked to do a short scene and then leave.

“The next five, please. Introduce yourself, ”The casting director asked the five people standing on stage.

With years of practice, they answered most interview questions and tried to maintain a minimum of politeness as they performed the scenes given to each other.

Looking at the six faces of the judges and the competitive crowd, they all had the inner thoughts of wanting to show the best of their skills. Especially when Will Evans was sitting right in front of them.

“OK, stop. We will tell you, thank you.” Will told the final candidate in the group.

"They're not good, are they?" Jennifer asked.

“Ya, the second one doesn't have the charm I'm looking for, and the last one has a bad comedy time. The thing that these actors don't understand is, [Friends] are a comedy series and intelligence has to come from within them. The harder they try to look funny, the more stupid it looks.”

Will explained that his voice was so low that only the judges could hear him.

“Next, please. Yeah, can the four of you wait downstairs, okay. Introduce yourself a little.” The casting director asked, acting professional as usual.

Even after interviewing nearly 60 actors, his tone remained the same from the first to the present. It is no joke that these people are trained for many years in their careers, and professionalism starts to get excited while working.

“I Ava Sofia,”

"Okay, get into the role, get started!"

He ordered as he began acting in comedy scenes.

“OK so I don't know if anyone got lost, but I was just about to start the tour. Hi, I'm Marissa. Hii. Welcome to Alcott College for Women, founded in the year eighteen ninety-five. You are here because we are the best. You know the saying. Smith to sleep, Mount Holyoke to marry, and Alcott to run your company. But our graduates are not all CEO-”

“OK, stop. Thank you, we'll tell you next. ”

The casting director looked at Will and shook his head. Will shrugged in return, it was a bad performance.

“We still need some actors and actresses to fill, I want to know when we will find them. About thirty more were left, was it possible at this moment? We should probably use DTA.”

Susan said to herself.

While they were wondering if it was possible or not, the next actress standing in the audition position surprised Will.

"Huh-h"

Will speaks unintentionally and stares at the two actors and one actress who are in line. As one person auditioned in their group of five, Will saw the other three in the queue, and his eyebrows shot up in surprise.

The actress standing on stage right now is Jennifer Aniston. She is a beautiful and elegant woman. That's what people would have heard about him in Will's life before.

On the right, another legend stood tall and handsome wanting to audition; he was none other than Matthew Perry himself. Seeing the two, Will sneered at himself.

Matthew Perry, known as Will, played Chandler Bing in the [Friends] series. The legend of standing unknowingly is an American-Canadian actor, comedian, and producer in Will's eyes.

Just for [Friends] he has won several awards including, Funny Male Supporter In A Television Series, Favorite Television Actor, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, More, and won millions of hearts through his comedic acting.

On the other hand, Rachel in [Friends] stars Jennifer Anniston and what else Will can ask after seeing she desperately wants the role in front of her.

He is someone who has won many awards such as a SAG Award nomination for his role in [Friends]. The value of the actress that Will knows can be attested in one statement; about how the film with her in the lead role has grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide, she said, and how 12 of them made at least $100 million.

"Please introduce yourself."

Will says out loud to Jennifer to hear it.

He smiled back to find out who the young man in front of him was.
