The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 83

Keyes Real Estate, Blvd, LA

In a large office on the twelfth floor of a thirty-story building, three people were sitting around a large table - two on one side and a third on the other.

On the table was a large projector hanging from the ceiling. The projector displays a map on the wall behind the third person.

The map is from LA.

"Santa Monica." Said the third person across the table. She was a smart-looking middle-aged woman with pointy glasses right at the tip of her nose.

In his hand was a laser pointer, and as he sat in his chair, he used a laser point to point to a point on the map projected on the wall.

He then uses his mouse to zoom in on his computer screen; this also zooms in on the map on the wall as it projects exactly what is going on on the monitor.

He directed the welded dots to the locations on the map while saying, "This is Santa Monica. Best office locations in all of Los Angeles. It is home to the MovieCon Studios, Alpine, and Moon Entertainment— campusesall drawn with beachfront locations and innovative business environments. You can run your company in this place, take advantage of our private office and complete facilities to settle down quickly."

While in the middle of his words, he turned around and looked at the two people sitting on the other side of the table.

One was a middle-aged woman, and the other was a young man in his early twenties. And with how the middle-aged woman glanced at the young man for her reaction, it was clear to this woman who was the boss between the two.

He focused on the young man and added, "This spacious workspace, suitable for creative teams, offers a brightly lit open lounge and facilities including a movie screening room, business classrooms, and a, event space, and filming equipment. You can take advantage of this facility while building your team in a private office, complete with conference rooms and your own brainstorming area."

The young man nodded and asked, "How is the lease going? All I need is at least five floors of office space."

"Five floors?" The woman nodded, "No problem. You can get it here. But you haven't told me what you plan to buy the whole room permanently, or do you want to rent?"

The middle-aged woman sitting beside the young man replied this time, "For the time being, we'll leave on rent. At least for the next year, this is the plan. Also, Alicia, we'll go for a vacation. Downstairs if possible, and the other thing is, we want a building that's not too crowded."

Alicia, the intelligent-looking woman, nodded, and after zooming in and exploring the map for a few minutes, she zoomed in a little more and pointed a laser at it, she said, "Well, this place is perfect. There are not many large companies in this building, and one that already exists, has declared bankruptcy, so they will vacate the building in about a month. You'll have almost everything here, unless there's one catch."

"What?"

"Well, it has six floors." Alicia replied, "And the owner wants to rent out the entire building for just one company; that's also why not many people choose this building because most businesses don't need more than one floor. Six floors are usually worth billions - dollar companies, but they already have their own building."

"Six floors...?" The middle-aged woman frowned lightly and glanced at the young man sitting beside her, "What do you think, Will?"

Of course, the young man sitting next to him was Will Evans, the new Hollywood hotshot.

And he is none other than Amand, the CEO of his company.

The two came to look for a better and wider office building, especially since they would also add to the Talent Agency.

With the influx of new staff and employees, the current office space will not be enough.

Therefore, they come to one of Hollywood's best real estate agents in search of better office space to rent.

"Six floors is okay." Will nodded, "How much is the normal rent?"

"For this one, $2.5 per square foot per month." Alicia replied, "With a total space of 55,000 SF per floor, and with six floors, it would be nearly a million, including all taxes."

"One million per month?" Amanda frowned, "We'll rent for a full year, at a price of $2 per SF."

"$2?" Alicia shook her head, "No one in LA will be that low; how about you look at the entire place first, and if it fits, I will arrange a meeting with the owner, she said, and then you can negotiate with them. "

Will nodded, "When is the meeting?"

"Well, we can go to this building right now. And that meeting could also happen today itself if you like the building."

Will thought for a moment and nodded, "Alright, how far is this... Santa Monica?"

"A few miles west." Alicia stood up as she replied, "Let's go?"

"certain." Will nodded and stood up as well, Amanda followed him shortly afterwards.

While Will is searching for a new location for Dream Vision's office, June follows her own story.

Right now, he just got out of his car and is with his agent, John.

When John locked the car, he walked up to him and opened his phone.

"Well, I told them. The director will be there; let's go." She said.

June nodded and gulped.

Seeing his reaction, John sighed and said, "Don't worry, you understand. This is just a script reading session for now. You passed the audition."

June nodded and stepped forward, towards the building in front of her.

John also took a deep breath, and crossing his fingers, he followed, hoping for the best result.

He has tried his best to get a movie role for June in the last few days, but it's not easy.

For one reason or another, the directors and producers had rejected June, not even bothering to give her the chance to show her skills properly.

But the indie film industry is like this.

And because of this, it was very difficult for John, especially since he was his only client, and his success and work were directly proportional to how much he would earn.

Another reason why he was worried was that in the last two big projects of June, he was not the one who took them, he said, so she didn't get any part of those movies - namely Project Witch Blair and 17 More - both of which became box office hits.

Both films were hosted by Will, and now, John wants to prove himself as well. After all, he was his agent, not Will.

Although she has no ill intentions towards Will, in fact she is even grateful that it will be easier for June to find a role in the future with her recent success, but now, even getting a single session of reading scripts has become very difficult, getting a role offer is very difficult.

After days of job searching, she finally managed to convince one of the independent film directors to consider June for the role.

Although the latter was very hesitant for some reason, he relented in the end because bringing June into the project might have helped his project commercially, but this was only John's assumption. He did not know the exact reason why the Director changed his mind.

Her audition was successful, and June got a role in a film that would probably be a success at a film festival.

Walking a few steps in front of him, June was about to step into the building.

Before the entrance, he lightly stopped and took a deep breath.

'You will nail this role.'

He said to himself and pushed open the building's glass door, with John following him shortly afterwards.

"Wait there. I'll ask if everyone's here." John beckons her to sit on the sofa arranged for the visitors and go to the reception.

June slightly nodded, and following her words, she sat down on the sofa.

Moments later, John returned, and while sitting in front of him, he said, "The director is in a meeting, he'll be free in a few minutes, and then we'll leave."

June nodded.

John looked at her and then looked around them to see if anyone was eavesdropping; he then leaned slightly forward and said, "Hey, June, are you okay?"

June nodded, "Yes."

"You remember what I said on the way here?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"All right, don't forget that. People may try to fight with you but stay calm. They want to upset you and then paint you as the wrong person; that's why think first how you'll react to whatever the other person is doing. say."

June nodded, "I want to."

Just then, one of the building's staff came, "June Roberts?"

"Yes," June raised her head and nodded.

"Please follow me; the Director is ready to see you."
