Foxtar and Dream Vision have already started promoting the film [Sherlock Holmes].
Making good use of the media, they have focused on creating a buzz for the film, and have even released two different movie posters now.
One poster featured Robert standing at the front, wearing an embroidered black ice coat, high pants, a leather belt and standing with his hands in his pockets, a messy hairstyle and a slight grin, shows great self-confidence.
Behind him, stood Levi Richards, with his chin and one eyebrow raised, he wore a black bowler hat, a men's suit, and brown leather gloves. He had a stick on his shoulder and his lips were slightly pursed. It gives a quieter and reliable vibe.
The poster itself shows a lot of chemistry between the two.
Another thing is Rachel's face as Irene Adler and Ewan as Blackwood in the background.
When movie posters were released, they also released individual posters of most actors, and unexpectedly, more than movie posters, individual posters created more buzz.
Especially Robert's.
He had a titled black hat, small sunglasses lowered on his nose, his head was slightly leaning forward, so his eyes were staring forward on top of the glasses, his expression was much more serious, covering his mouth is an icon of a smoke pipe with thin smoke enveloping his surroundings, and the addition of a coat adds a more mysterious charm to Robert.
On the poster are big words - Sherlock Holmes
And underneath it is - Michael Robert Elrod
To keep the buzz going, they soon released a mini chemistry clip of Robert and Watson. The clip greatly increased the audience's expectations, and enough to get everyone interested in the film, without revealing much about the plot.

“...hereinafter we will prepare the trailer and release it to the public. The film will be released in the first week of June. We will release the trailer next week, and start with a talk show visit by the actors.”
Foxstar Studios marketing chief Denice Smith explained the plan to others in a dimly lit meeting room.
Inside the room was Will, James, and several other marketing team members who were in charge of marketing and advertising the film [Sherlock Holmes].
“We need to show Robert as the lead.” Will said, "He has the least amount of fame in the entire cast, that's why I want to focus a little more on him."
“But don't we want to get an audience by using someone else's name like Richard or Rachel?” Someone suggested.
Will nodded, “Of course, we want that, but what I want to say is, we should not underestimate Robert's role in this. Don't forget, he's the main character, and he's the focus of the whole movie. In the end, it is he who has the potential to attract the majority of the audience.”
Denice thought for a moment and added, "We can reveal more clips behind the scenes?"
James leaned forward and spoke, “Um, it has a chance to reveal too much plot, we can't do that. And we can't use the same scene in the clip either. What we need is something that will be much more in touch with the audience, and something we can do without risking revealing too many scenes.”
As he said, something came to Will's mind.
"I have an idea" he said, drawing everyone's attention, "Let's call the police."
"...What's?" Everyone is confused.
“Why police?” James asked puzzledly, voicing everyone's thoughts.
Will cleared his throat and said, “Have you heard about the government's planned campaign? We can contact them and collaborate with them.”
For the record, the government is trying to carry out a campaign to improve security in the community amid the increasing crime rate. Will's idea was basically to use the government to promote their films.
After all, a character like Sherlock Holmes would definitely attract attention. And it is perfect for this type of campaign.
"Hows it? Oh wait, promo by Sherlock Holmes?” Denice asked with a thoughtful expression.
"Fright." Will nodded, “We can be like this: due to the sudden increase in crime, the police contacted Sherlock Holmes. And we can add, come to the cinema, and promote it a little.”
"Hm ..." Denice nodded lightly, "We can do something like this, but this one should have a very clever script."
Will nodded, “The simple one can too, all we need is attention, and this promo is enough to bring it up.”
James nodded, “Alright, let's contact the authorities. Let's hope we get something out of this. But how much do you think it costs?”
"It's cooperation, not advertising." Upon James' comment, Will replies, "And if it really did happen, then we can pay a little for it."
After exchanging ideas for a while, everyone came to the conclusion that it was a good idea and worth a try.

By the time Will was busy editing and promoting [Sherlock Holmes], it was already the third day after its release [17 Again] - May 12.
Only on the first day of its launch, [17 Again] generated $5 million and increased even more from the second day onwards.
Professional critics write articles about it while people start commenting on their thoughts on the forums. Everyone has a different opinion, the film is getting more and more popular.
Some reviews became so popular that critics gained their own following. Reviews by Erwin Marshal are as follows.
| Characters learn lessons about valuing family and making smart decisions. But to get there, they negate some complicated situations (for example, a high school student gets her boyfriend pregnant and gives up college to marry her and find a job, frustrating and upsetting her). It's just like a teen rom-com. |
Another famous review was by Lisa Hudson.
| Although it's more references than ****/actual action. That's still not necessary, considering this is a PG13 movie. A teenage girl often makes out with her boyfriend. In one scene, a teenage girl tries to seduce a man with an animal role play. Conversations sometimes include sexual innuendos; a man hoards up***** because he says he has "needs".
Discussion of abstinence and why it works (or doesn't) for teens. A teenage boy kisses a woman old enough to be his mother. A teenage girl is pregnant, and her High School boyfriend offers to marry her. Girls throw themselves at a guy, essentially offering ****. Mature couple performing in bed together. A boy wearing nothing but a shield (implied nudity) walks out of a party.
It is basically a story full of absurd and unrealistic plots. |
Apart from the critics themselves, there are a lot of people on various websites commenting on the film.
– I like Drake Redcliff in this movie. She remains charming in every scene and is even slapped by the girls and Ned several times! Ha ha! I also like the way he stands in court pretending to read a letter to Scarlet but the words come out of his heart with tears that say, "because I love you, I have to let you continue." So touching!
– Outstanding films. I would recommend it 10/10 times. Funny, inspiring, message oriented. (Spoiler warnings about plots) There is a reason for everything God has given you. We just need to recognize it. If something has been taken from your life then it is not meant to be in your life from the very beginning.
– The only reason I watched that movie was Will Evans. Even though she played the role of a bully, I really love her <3.

On the famous talk show, 2 well-known critics were invited and they talked to the host about various movies and new stars.
Finally, the talk about [17 Again] came here as well, which had been saved by the host as a cream for the show.
"What do you think of the new film [17 Again]? The film has received a positive reception from people and has been making money since its release."
The host directed his question to Addison Atonal and Alice Atonal.
These are the critics of the husband and wife duo who mostly have different opinions about everything and their criticisms are appropriate. They are quite famous as Mr and Mrs Atonal.
The two of them again got into a fight, with the husband supporting the film and the wife opposing it.
As soon as the talk show took place, the topic shifted from film, to director and actor, and finally to one person who tried to spread himself like a net in Hollywood.
"From screenwriting to directing and even acting. It looks like Mr. Evans is not planning on leaving anything untapped in Hollywood. Haha. I heard about his new movie [Sherlock Holmes]. What do you think of that?"
The host asked again. The one Addison replied to.
"Of course, it won't be anything. I agree that he made a lot of money by using his homemade camera cleverly, but that's it.
He could hardly be enough to direct a franchise that has been failed in the past by a major studio. He was overconfident by throwing away all the money he had earned for the duties of a fool.
Not to mention that he made several unnamed actors as the main cast. It has become a sunken ship, I said. "
Alice frowned at that and immediately retaliated.
"Will is a talented young man and he has always given his best since his debut. I never thought he would be good at acting but seeing his acting in [17 Again], even an experienced veteran would have a hard time giving such an appearance.
And if a movie has made actors like Levi Richards and Ewan Rees a side character, do you think the main character is someone who can be easily underestimated? Knowing Ewan Rees, he would never play as a side character when the main cast was worse than him.
We can safely assume that [Sherlock Holmes] will be an absolute masterpiece."
Alice finished her point as the camera spun towards the host.
“Just like them, there is a clear division between the audience who thinks the movie is good and the audience who thinks the movie is ugly. In all of this, the one thing we can agree on is that we're all excited about how things are going to change."
The host said as the camera shifted towards the show banner and gestured for a break.
