The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 133

"So, you told me that all I needed to get this role was to innovate?" Leo asked Robert, who was sitting opposite him, in the red chair, at the Hollywood Boulevard Coffee shop.

"Listen, ever since I started working with Will, I've practically paid no attention to script writing, and although the script is generally very good, you'll see that it's nothing more than a loose guideline for us, and even though it's not really a script, as actors and artists, to come up with their own definitions, their own understanding of their characters. Will may have told you too, the script is meant to provide general guidelines for the plot. They are not solid, written in stone texts or scriptures. The more you innovate, the more you relate to your inner character, the better the results you will achieve." Robert replied after sipping his coffee.

"But this is my first big movie. I don't want to take a big risk and potentially ruin the movie." Leo showed.

"Leo, I've been in exactly the same situation as you. During the filming of [Sherlock Holmes], and then [A Bullet to Kill], there was a dialogue that I was supposed to read and do, and while I was able to do it they were, memorizing, memorizing, and go word by word, so does the next guy. Our job is to bring the character to life.taking risks is the name of the game. You miss every shot you don't take. And Will's job, or the director's job isn't to make sure that you've said every line you've memorized. No, his job is to make sure that you follow the general guidelines of the script he has envisioned and get the plot out of the whole story." Robert explained that he had been a kind of mentor to Leo, aware of similar situations that the young actor was going through, like himself.

"Okay, I think I can see what you're trying to make me understand. So, now that I get the role of Mario, I need to put out my own definition of what Mario is, for me, and play him on set" Leo said after pondering for a few seconds.

"Finally, and don't worry. Neither Will nor I will be on set, and we'll help you finish this. You got this in the bag. All you need is to run home with it." Robert tried to calm down. "You know, my reluctance to memorize the script was something Will told me to nurture, he wanted me to develop a sense of my own character. At first I thought it would be a problem, then one day Will came to me and said 'I already know!' and I was having a really hard time before [Sherlock Holmes], then and I thought about just memorizing the lines, so I asked him 'What did you find?' and then he looked me in the eye and said 'You, Robert, hate paper. I like that about you, that's a good thing. I'll have to write less, and give you the source material to be the character himself.' And that's what I did, I read a lot of Sherlock's books, and I finished them at auditions. And I got that role."

The two of them have fallen into a very easy relationship with each other, and Robert has taken the decision on his own to guide Leo, through all the pre-shooting pitfalls and jitters Will has done for him. The two of them continued to talk and discuss their roles for the rest of the day, as Robert gave Leo an idea and set a scenario for him to innovate and build.

"Kiss Me, Close Your Eyes" June walks down an abandoned Spanish street, holding a chocolate wrapped in purple. The walls of the building next to it are painted blue, red, and light orange, with

"Miss Me, Close Your Eyes" He unwrapped the chocolate top, and brought it to his lips, while closing his eyes.

"And Kiss Me," He took a small bite, as he turned and arrived at a bright street filled with numerous brown posters he was holding, against a purple background.

"I Can Read Your Lips" He smiled, biting the chocolate again.

"At Your Fingertips" He licked the frothy melted chocolate on his fingers.

"I Can Feel Your Smile, Come On My Lips" He smiled as he tasted his chocolate, while walking towards the sunset.

"And Happies In Your Eyes" She finished her chocolates, and swirled around halfway, making her dress create a beautiful pattern with her movements, and she burst into laughter.

"AND CUT! That wrapper. Good work" She heard it, and she walked out of the set, towards the ad director that was given to her, right after she joined the DTA. "That's a good shot. This will go well, during our series of pre valentine ads. That's it for today, Thank you, June. Your agent is looking for you. We'll call you again next week, for two more shots for valentine and post a valentine ad," the Director told her, She thanked him and walked to the studio exit, which is why, where's John's agent, waiting for him.

"That's a very good take, June. Congratulations." John said to her as he walked towards her.

"Thank you, John. What's my next agenda?" He asked as he continued walking past him, and he could see that John was following him.

"Well, Will has sent you a role in [Liberty City]'s next project. It's a small role, but after your audition, he thought you'd be a great supporting actor in that movie." He told her, and she couldn't help but smile. He had swallowed his pride, in the end and made it move as soon as the contract with the MCA reached its end. They have tried to stop him from jumping ship as well, but after Will's secret reveal, they have lost most of the resources they can use to make things difficult.

"Well, I've emailed you the offer you've received from the European Director. The DTA arranged a meeting between me and him. The director is very talented and has many awards in the industry. She currently wants to start working on a project with a female lead, and wants to give you that role. The director was very excited about the film, and apparently, he sold his house to raise funds for the project." He explained, still not giving a clue what kind of project it is, or who the director is. June thought that the director was a little careless. While Will will take risks with his projects, and he's just as excited, something he really likes about him he won't go to any lengths to risk his entire livelihood for a film. He's smarter than that.

"Beach, did you give him my profile? Who's Director?" She asked him, when he opened his car door, he wanted to go home early after shooting seven small ads in a row throughout the day, with chocolate commercials being the last.

"It was directed by James Cameron"

Exit from Bentley Continental GT

new, outside the Mega Works office, Will gives his car keys to the waitress who is waiting for him.

"Sir, Miss Baker here, will guide you to the CEO's office." Said the waiter, pointing to the formally dressed woman waiting beside him.

"During the night, Mr. Evans. Mr. Hayes is waiting for you, come with me." He said while shaking his hand. He turned around and took her into the building.

Towards the elevator, to the eleventh floor, Will wonders what this meeting is about.

"Through this door, sir." He said as he guided her through the lobby to the only room on the top floor.

He knocked once and opened the large wooden door, which had a gold engraving on it. Inside is a wood-furnished office, which has an elegant mountain view of the Hollywood signboards that tourists around the world visit.

On a large mahogany table, there was a Good-Bodies Albino man, wearing a three-piece tuxedo. He's smoking. Will knows this man as the last Top 6 CEO. Abraham Hayes's.

Hi guys, today is a pretty memorable day. Years ago, when I was a kid, my older cousin introduced me to video games and the first one I played was named Vice City. It's still one of only two games I've ever completed, and it has a special place in my heart, and you've definitely noticed it too when you read about [Liberty City].

[Liberty City] is based on Vice City, and it's one of my favorite bows. The voice of this game is Ray Liotta, but last night I came across some sad news

Ray Liotta had died and had gone to a better place.

On this note, I'd like to tell you that I'm planning a small tribute to her in this novel, and I hope you like it.
