After the Oscar ceremony was over, Will felt his hands hurt from clapping too much. But it's not over.

Awards have been given, but celebrations are still just beginning.

One of the main parts of the Oscars was the party after it. Many movie companies and event sponsors will host after-parties.

And Will was also invited to some of them.

To be honest, rather than the ceremony, he was looking forward to the party after. After all, it was a place to make more connections and today; there was another reason for him to go to the after-party.

"Will, I'm sorry. But I can't go to the party after with you."

It was James, someone who had been having regular talks with Will regarding the casting of [Sherlock Holmes]. Will smiled and walked towards him.

"James, congratulations on the award."

"thank you. We were quite happy with them, and our Chairman was just here to congratulate the winners, but he left with a few others to discuss a few things." He said, then found no one but Will, he asked. "Where's your date?"

"He should leave early."

As James said that, Will only smiled in response. He knew what he meant, but Will was not the type of person to do this kind of thing.

But it looks like James is determined to show Will a different side of Hollywood. He suddenly called a young actress to them and introduced her to him.

"Will, meet May Warner; she has worked in Hollywood for years and started as a child actress in a Foxstar production."

Many famous actors, producers, directors have spoken in small social circles. Will did not try to get close to them, and instead, his eyes continued to look for others.

'Ewan Rees'

He was the main reason why Will was in the after-party.

He was an actor in his early 40s, black hair with an imposing aura around him and a popularity that not only made him famous in Hollywood but around the world. In the last five years, he has only made four films, but it has been a big hit.

The reason why he was so slow was because of his pickiness. He will only work with certain directors, and for this reason, he has changed three agencies in the last five years.

He will only fire the agent if he fails to get the role he wants. And this has happened a lot, and because of that, he is still in the free agent market.

His antics remind Will of Leonardo di Caprio who has fired many agents to work with Martin Scorsese, and that is something Hollywood is famous for.

Even now, Ewan did not bother to socialize and just sat alone, drinking wine in silence. Many people tried to approach him, but he simply ignored him.

"Hello, Mr. Rees."

Said Will while sitting next to him. Looking at his approach, which could easily be summed up as arrogance, Ewan raised his eyebrows.

"You're the young director who made the movie great. What are you doing here, son?"

"I want to talk to you."

will said, get to the point. The longer he tried to be too polite, the sooner Ewan would tell him to leave.

"I'm at this party for wine, not for any business. If you want to have a meeting, call my agent."

"I'll do it if he manages to get you a role in Simon Vercetti's next movie this week. Otherwise, he'll be fired as well."

Simon Vercetti is one of the most famous directors in Hollywood who has won 2 Oscars before. There were rumors that she was eager to work on her next film, and Ewan wanted to work with her no matter what.

It's something that everyone in Hollywood knows.

"That's right. Anyway, I think this introduction is enough. Let me drink it quietly, and maybe, one day, when you're a pretty good director, maybe I'll fire people to work with you too."

ewan said with a laugh, but his tone told Will to leave. But he sat down and suddenly said,

"Dearly enough. Because I want to talk about Simon. We just had a meeting last week, and if our talks are a little better, I'd recommend you as the lead in her next movie."

"What did you just say?"

Ewan stopped drinking and looked at her in shock as well as bewildered. He did not know whether the young man in front of him was drinking too much or was simply trying to attract his attention.

"I think you heard me well. Let me introduce myself again. My name is Will Evans, and I'm the screenwriter for Simon Vercetti's next film."

The reason Will asked Amanda to meet Uncle Ben was because of this.

Simon Vercetti is one of the highest paid directors, and he used to be a member of the MCA before opening his own production house.

However, he has a good connection with the MCA, and Will uses it to meet him to show one of the scripts he bought from the system.

Simon is looking for a script to shoot his next film, and Will tries to use this opportunity.

Fortunately, the meeting went well, and she is now a screenwriter for her film.
