"Hello Mr. Evans, nice to meet you in person." Damon stood up as soon as Will entered the meeting room. Alexia goes to do some other work and Jeffrey already goes to his office because Will wants to talk to Damon alone.
"Call me Will and sit down." Will reached out his hand to signal for him to sit down and he himself sat right in front of him.
Damon McDonald looked tall and average in size with a sharp face. He has a smart look about him, making him a popular choice for playing villains.
As he glanced at Damon, the shadow of a businessman formed in Will's mind. Although he wore a white t-shirt with his arms rolled to his elbows, he could easily be considered a wealthy businessman because of how he brought out his vibes and appearance.
"Thank you, and thank you for inviting me here today," Damon said calmly.
“No problem, let's do business. Have you ever read the Spiderman comic?” Would question.
“I've actually never been interested in them. I just read the script. I found it very interesting. Do you think I should read the comic?” Damon asked back.
Superhero movies are not a trend even something that many directors have tried in this universe, so even actors are inexperienced in them.
Will nodded his head and replied, “Yes, the thing is, you can actually learn a lot about the character, his story, his personality, and everything else if you read the comic. Norman Osborn is a character that evolves throughout the story, so it will be easy at your end if you finish reading. He even has many versions of himself in comics.” Will explains how reading the comics will help him gain a better understanding of his role.
“Can I know more about his character— if you don't mind? I mean your perspective on that. ” He asked, still talking as if he was walking on thin ice.
From his years in the industry, he has met with various types of directors. Since he didn't know what director Will was like, he had to focus more on what questions he would ask and what kinds of answers to answer.
Even if he was young, Damon knew Will was a genius.
Will thought for a while before giving an answer. “He is an ambitious and overly obsessive man who chooses work over family, especially his son, Harry Osborn. Even though he was heartless towards her, he showed that he cared for her to some degree. He also likes Peter Parker the Spider-Man, who is clearly the main character, and he sees the latter as a child he never had. In the field of work, he is a very large businessman and scientist.” Will be explained briefly.
“How about the big picture? I mean, about Green Goblin?” ask Damon.
“I get it after description in character. After all, as you know, Norman Osborn is also known as the Green Goblin. In fact, he is one of the main antagonists in the Marvel comics Spiderman. He became a Green Goblin after ingesting a serum that improved his physical abilities but in the process made him go crazy. Green Goblin is like a double personality underneath.” Will continued to explain and Damon nodded carefully without muttering a word.
“Osborn originally started out as an uncaring and manipulative, yet troubled, paranoid, distracted and anti-social entrepreneur, willing to sacrifice others for his cause and that quality becomes extreme when he becomes a Green Goblin. About its weaknesses, its only two weaknesses are its own instability and ego, which often cloud its judgment. He believed that he was so powerful and above all, that he underestimated his enemies, and believed that 'even death cannot defeat him', which can often be exploited and lead to his defeat. Also, his own megalomania could be a major weakness, as his desire to be strong could be harnessed against him,” Will continued.
“Quite fair,” Damon said at the end of Will's character analysis. “How about the action and the costumes? From what I see, I'm sure there must be a lot of action for the character?” Damon asked Will.
“We can rent body double for stunt, and the costumes, don't worry about them. The team is working on it, and they will be ready once you are ready, ” Will replied.
“If you don't mind, I think I can try it to do the action myself. Will it be a problem?” ask Damon.
That question made Will add more plus points in Damon's book in his mind, because of how he remembered that even William Dafoe did ninety percent of his own stunts. Due to the fact that the actor himself did the stunt, his costume was made nimble rather than the bigger one that Sam Raimi and his team had decided on before.
Will shook his head. "Of course not, I'll arrange it."
The reason Damon wants to do his own stunts is because recently he had a smooth experience with an action movie he did earlier in the year.
Since its genre was action, it clearly had an uncountable number of scenes with action, fights, and everything that required a double body. Unfortunately, the film failed and critics have criticized it heavily for its action sequences.
The reason is how artificially they look due to poor editing skills that have been approved by directors and producers. Many critics have mentioned Damon and said how the actor was unable to do an action film, and have mentioned how the film was rated low because of all that.
Though, he was not the only reason for that failure, it had hit him hard.
"OK," Damon murmured to himself while his eyes locked on the file that Will had brought himself.
“Yes, so back to his character, one of the main reasons why I chose him is his bond with Spiderman– Father-son Dynamics. It is better if you understand the finer points when it comes to the Norman Osborn character. And the Green Goblin is the same if not more interesting. They are two very different people and there are many things about him that you need to combine.”
"That sounds interesting" Damon said and chuckled softly.
“You will understand more deeply about his character slowly, so, what do you think of him?” Would question.
"He's a cool character, certainly a villain, but I think it's as important as Spiderman in the whole story" Damon said without hesitation on his face. "I think Norman and Peter's relationship is a major emotional point as well and I really like how the plot goes." she goes further.
"So, you think you can do that role?" will ask.
"Yes." Yeah."

“How can you insult Will Evans and try to hook up with his girlfriend? What do you even think?” A middle-aged woman shouted in disappointment at Charlie, the leader of the [Terminator].
The woman is Linda Ray and in her profession, she is Charlie's agent.
Right now, he was very disappointed with his behavior because of what happened during the filming of [Terminator]. Ever since he heard what happened, he had noticed how things had happened to him.
"It was just a friendly appeal, I didn't think much of it when it happened" Charlie said without giving much depth about what happened.
Linda's anger seemed to increase at Charlie's unwise words. “You are a fool, Charlie. You were acting in a movie whose main investor was Dream Vision, how could you not think about it before acting like that? More than anything, you insult the owner and try to sleep with his girlfriend– That is a very big stupid movie considering how big Will is in the industry.”
Linda's tone disliked Charlie's ears. He frowned at her and replied, “He's just a director with two or three hits. It's really not a big deal. You know who I'm right, an established star, don't worry too much about it, really.”
“Nothing else matters as Dream Vision continues to evolve. Think about how much it will grow in the near future considering that every project it has generated more than $100 million. Here's the part you should worry about–”
Charlie looked at her asking 'what are you saying?'
“There is a high chance that you might not get another role in any movie that Dream Vision invested in. I'm hoping you'll get more roles with them, but now it's all gone. You may even lose more. ” Linda explains what kind of situation Charlie is in.
"I can't believe you're telling me this!" Charlie's anger increased with every word Linda said. It was as if he had not heard what he was trying to say.
"We lost the project with OP Studio" Linda said in a breath.
"What's? The director really likes me.” Charlie is shocked to hear how they lost the project even though he is so sure the director likes him.
“I heard Will Evans was involved, but even if he didn't do it, you really ruined your reputation. I'm aware that Dream Vision is trying to get information about you, and OP Studio wants to work with Will no matter what. They won't work with someone Will doesn't like,” Linda said angrily.
Charlie was silent at his words.
“Other times, try to think from your head, not from your penis. Know, Your career is at stake because of Your actions.”
