The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 6

June Roberts is an aspiring actress who has worked in the Hollywood industry since she was 14.

He debuted as an additional character in a popular movie. Since then, he has done many such roles but nothing special.

He made some contacts and started working regularly, but there was no big role. 'The famous 'great breakthrough' never came to him.

Lately, she has even started to get depressed over it.

She desperately wants to be a part of the main cast, always dreaming of making it big someday. Her dreams were the same as many other aspiring actresses, but she really felt like she was going to be great.

It was just that he needed one major breakthrough.

He is 22 years old this year, without any major success. As he grew, his desire and desperation to become great also grew.

June was confident in her appearance. With black hair, white skin and a sharp face with green eyes, she is called beautiful by most people she will meet and she has honed her acting skills since her teenage years.

All he needs is a chance.

Because of all this, two years ago, one of the agents at the MCA even noticed him and offered him a contract.

But it was only his luck that was when the MCA started to decline.

Usually, it is the duty of the actress agent to keep the role and give her a role that she can do well.

There is a saying in this industry – 'An actor is as good as his agent' and it is really applied in his case.

In the past two years, his agent has only been able to give him mediocre roles in small films. Once upon a time she was even asked to act naked but she refused and ran away.

Despite his constant bickering with his agent to get his better role, nothing came out and he even thought of quitting the MCA.

It was then that he heard rumors that one of the senior agents, Benjamin Charles, was planning to put his actor in a movie with a big studio behind him.

Hearing this, an idea came to his mind.

What if he could impress Benjamin? Maybe he could at least get a supporting role? He didn't know if it would work, but at least, he could try.

After all, he would rather step out and look for someone who could potentially change his future than rely on his agent who practically did nothing in two years.

He had come in front of Benjamin's office recently in hopes of getting an appointment with him.

But all his efforts to this day have been in vain as his schedule was too congested to consider meeting with uninvited guests.

Today at all and once again, his assistant had rejected him.

As June was talking to Benjamin's assistant, trying to persuade him to arrange a meeting with her, she saw Benjamin's office door open.

A young man who seemed to have just entered his twenties walked out. The first thing that caught his attention was his dark black eyes. He had wavy black hair, firm cheekbones, and a sturdy jaw.

As she analyzed it from head to toe, a habit she had gotten since her Hollywood debut, her eyes were fixed on her.

He looked into her eyes, and when he saw the gazes they met, he awkwardly nodded his head. For a moment, he kept looking at her. Maybe try to see if he can recognize her.

It was common to walk across famous actors and actresses in this office. But he had never seen the man before.

After realizing that he was not someone he knew, he began to walk away. June subconsciously followed him and opened her mouth, trying to sound as polite as possible.

“Um, hello. I'm June. Do you have a minute? ”

He stretched out his hand to shake hands. He had been looking for an opportunity to talk to Benjamin the moment this man walked out of his office as if it was no big deal.

Maybe he's an actor? At least someone who can help him.

Although he could not remember her face, he had a rather strange aura about her.

He wanted to get acquainted even with slightly increasing the chance to talk to Benjamin. And Hollywood is all about contact, even if she can't meet Benjamin, she'll at least build another potentially useful contact for her future.

As he looked at her, Will thought in his head.

'Who is he?'

He looked at the girl in front of him and felt confused.

He had just happily walked out of Benjamin's office when he suddenly stopped him and asked for a moment while offering a handshake.

For a moment, he understood what happened when he looked at Benjamin's assistant, who sighed behind.

'She is an aspiring actress!'

He thinks in his mind.

It's pretty common in the industry, from what he knows. She may be a struggling actress who wants to talk to Benjamin, perhaps desperate to get the role.

To be honest, if he didn't have his system and didn't know Benjamin, he would have fought as well.

That was why, feeling a little sympathetic, he shook his hand.

"Hello, my name is Will, and yes, I have a minute."

He said and smiled at her.

Later, while releasing her autobiography, June will describe this meeting as like a meeting that changed her entire life.

If that didn't happen, she would always continue to be a small actress.
