After the promotional plan for [Sherlock Holmes] was decided, it was immediately implemented.
Even without it, many people talk about it in online forums and almost every reader of Sherlock Holmes novels is curious to see the film.
But after the promotion began, the discussion increased and curiosity towards the film reached its peak.
It's not like everyone is looking forward to it. Some critics think the film will inevitably fail due to the lack of experience of the director and lead actor. In fact, even those people wanted to see the movie.
If the film was going to fail, they wanted to know how badly it would fail.
That was enough for Will.
He knew that after people watched the movie, it would spread by word of mouth. And recently, one of his films spread by word of mouth.
That's [17 again].
Within two weeks, it had generated about 70 million and had recovered its initial costs. It is estimated, it will generate around 140-150 million and that is more than enough for MCAs to invest in it.
Benjamin has even called her and said that the film has done wonders for the agency and they are now thinking of promoting Drake as the agency's lead figure.
Even June was the center of attention at the MCA.
In just a year, she has been part of two films that have surpassed 100 million at the box office. It wasn't a small feat and now, the higher-ups at the MCA are finally thinking about it.
Benjamin had told him that they would try to put him in a few more films in a supporting role while thinking of a good movie for him to be in the lead.
This is the best news for Will.
Although he had plans to include her into his agency at first, he could only give up for now. He wanted to stand alone so that the MCA would be the best place for him.
At least unlike certain agencies, she had a good relationship with him.
[17 again] was also influential to him and after seeing his role in the film, he even got offers to play the lead role in several films.
Will was well aware that it wasn't because of his acting. After all, his role was not the most complex or anything like that. That's a bully. No more, no less.
The studio and the director just wanted to use his popularity for the benefit of their film. After all, he was the one who took the biggest gamble in Hollywood.
The sentence had become the hashtag of the film and to promote it, Foxstar even had time to release another poster with the same tagline under the title.
They promote such movies, absolutely sure of their quality.
Like this, many days passed. After finishing editing with Emilia, the [Sherlock Holmes] trailer was uploaded and got 12 million views in just a week.
People who were skeptical about Robert were very impressed and the tone of the film as well as Holmes' unique nature were widely discussed.
They had incorporated the fight scene and Holmes was thrown into the scene and it was one of the most highlighted scenes.
Many England fans were so happy that Holmes in the trailer matched the one in the book. They do not care about the popularity of the actor and just want a good Holmes movie.
The film has a lot of support from them.
The move with the police was successful as well. They agreed to make her shoot the promo but they did not let Foxstar use their logo or anything about the film. But that's enough.
The government gets Sherlock Holmes and Robert gets exposure.
The promo was essentially a 30-second clip from Robert telling to be safe in Holmes style. To promote it, he and Levi Richards even spent a day solving very small crimes with the police for a day.
Of course, they were in their Holmes and Watson characters and even wore their costumes.
A video of Robert trying to save a cat from a tree even went viral.
With this, he also appeared on talk shows and became increasingly popular. Dream Vision gave him 'blue ticks' on Sparrow and they promoted a talk show clip on his profile.
Especially the clip of him describing how he was hit during filming. It was really funny, "Well, I tried so hard to be ahead. You know arrogant and so on, so I think let's do the fight ourselves. The next moment, I fell. Best shot I've ever had."
Will was glad to hear it that way. After gaining her confidence, she acted like the RDJ she knew.
It was a great thing for him considering he wanted Robert to play the iconic role of Tony Stark in the years to come.
Even those who don't like Robert as the lead or Will as the director.
Spencer even said that he wanted to invest in a sequel and they could directly sign a sequel contract. Will would not allow it.
He knows his potential best. Unlike Spencer who thought the film would make more than 300 million dollars, Will knew that it would earn at least 500 million.
That figure is something only a few Hollywood movies have achieved.
Once the box office numbers came out, he could ask for more profits. And in Hollywood, it's all about benefits.

On the day of the premiere that occurred only for journalists and celebrities, many people gathered.
It was only two days before the actual prime minister but many critics were called in and literally everyone showed up. After all, they all wanted to know how the film would go.
Some of them expected it to be bad and others found it promising, at least from the trailer.
Lucas Hunt was the first. He was a film critic who completely destroyed the film in his reviews, no matter the director or the actor.
70 Percent of his reviews were bad and he even gave a bad review to the Oscar-winning director which made him too hated but in his view, he just became a critic.
'I can't say it's good if I don't like it.'
That's his mentality.
He never felt that someone like Will was a good director. For [The Blair Witch Project], he praised his innovation and acting, but actually burned the storyline and felt it was another bad horror film that was only saved by innovative techniques.
He felt [Sherlock Holmes] would be the same.
And as soon as he saw Will at the premiere greeting everyone, he walked up to him and immediately said.
"Don't expect a good review from me. I've thought of one and my words won't be light."
The budding director, just two old Hollywood movies, just smiled and asked in return.
"What if the movie is good?"
"That's not gonna happen. I didn't expect that at least."
"You have to keep your eyes open. Maybe you even like the movie."
After that, they did not speak during the event. Will knows Lucas Hunt because he is one of the most famous critics. He has even seen his reviews of his first film and even slightly agreed to it.
But [Sherlock Holmes] is different. And the next day, in his review of it, Lucas really opened his eyes.
[⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: A film that could be the start of a franchise and possibly one of the best of the year.
-Lucas Hunt]
That review was enough for many of his regular followers to wonder if he was getting paid. But knowing his past, they all assumed that it was really a good movie.
Like him, there is more criticism as well.
[⭐⭐⭐: Watch, of course, for a dazzling visual feast, but beware, this Sherlock is more than just a show.]
[⭐⭐⭐⭐: I was very surprised. That is what the world wants and deserves. Robert did a good job, despite not having a proper new image, Sherlock.]
[⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Sherlock Holmes sets the standard for detective subgenres in a bold and auteur-driven way.]
[⭐⭐⭐⭐: Will Evan's self-direction digs characters with gravity and precision, making a return of spirit to the bottom]
[⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: The biggest bet of the century - Will Evan may actually defy the odds with this one and cement his name in Hollywood]
