The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 164

Will is shocked to see Jennifer in front of him. 'What did Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry do in 2012?' This question filled Will's mind.

Maybe like how he met Leo or maybe this all had a reason, after all, he was still alive and doing better than before even after his previous death. Not wanting to dig too deep to find the answer to the two questions that were in front of him, he shook his head.

"Have you read the script?"

Would question.

“Y-yes, Sir. Yeah." yeah."

Jennifer replied with a faint smile.

"Okay, you can start."

Jennifer Aniston who stood upright on stage moved slightly so she faced a bit away from the jury and avoided eye contact, which is the basic rule in auditions.

Without wasting more than 10 seconds, she started doing her part, as Rachel in [Friends]. Because Will wanted to see if he fit into the role, he had to give a special script for him to practice and perform on the spot.

She was fine with doing so, in fact, her 'mister sure' made her seem like someone confident with their acting skills to everyone present. Maybe that was the plan all along.

She started her acting and it looked very realistic when she acted as if she was looking in the mirror and putting on makeup.

“Sorry about that. So then. What have you done?” Freddie was someone who sat down with a panel and offered to read the lines along with the actors on stage. To help them, but he didn't really act because every word that came out of his mouth was monotonous.

Freddie reads Barry, the character in the line [Friends].

“Ah, not much. I got a job.” Jennifer played her part while keeping her eyes focused on the wall.

"Oh, that's great" Freddie said out loud.

"Why - why are you so tanned?" His facial expression looked serious.

“Oh, I, uh-I went to Aruba.” "Oh no. You went on honeymoon alone?” Jenifer seemed to be in disbelief.

"No. I went with, uh... Now, this might hurt, "Me?!" "No! I went with Mindy.” It was a scene where Barry was trying to come out clean that he went on his honeymoon with bridesmaid Rachel. As there were other roles during the scene, Freddie kept repeating the sentence without pause.

“Mind?! My maid of honor, Mindy ?! ” His expression changed dramatically which looks funny to everyone. Will put a smile on his face. He even did some hand gestures that reminded Will of the original episode.

"Yeah, well, uh, we're pretty familiar now," said Freddie, who is part of Barry.

"Oh! Well, um.” He acted as if dragging people in front of his head. “You have plugs!”

"Be careful! They haven't really taken it.”

“And you have lenses! But you hate sticking your fingers in your eyes!” Jennifer said, giving a confused look.

"okay! That's enough, Miss Aniston. Can you do the last part, we'll give you five minutes? Would question. She was eager to prove that Jennifer would fit into the role perfectly.

"Oh yeah. Sure Sir,”

“Hai, Mindy. Hi, this-this is Rachel. Yeah I'm fine. I saw Barry today. Oh, yeah, yeah, he-he told me. No, it's okay. I hope you two are very happy, really. Oh, oh, and Mind, you know, if-if everything works out, and you guys end up getting married and having kids - and everything - I just wish they had their old hairline and your old nose, ”

He acted as if he was slamming the phone as it was written on the script and turned to face the audience, "OK, I know it's a cheap shot, but I feel a lot better now."

“OK, haha. Next is Matthew.” Will said with a smile to look at Jennifer's appearance. He muttered his thanks quickly and stood back in line. Since they came to the audition in group five, they had to wait until the other person was done.

He acts according to the script he got and to the end without even knowing that Will will stop him.

"Ew, ew, ew, ew ew ew ew ew!" He made a face that fit the scene and spoke.

“Okay, enough, thanks, you can go now. We will immediately tell you the result, ” Will said and smiled as he nodded briefly.

Will turned to look at the other person sitting in front of him and said, "Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry would be a great fit for the role,"

"But-we haven't seen it all-" Susan tries to tell her mind that they don't see every actor who wants to audition and judge too quickly can lead to missing out on opportunities to see better talent. But, her words were cut out by Jennifer.

"Ssttt.every time Will says this, that person has become a star, hold your tongue when making decisions" he whispered in Susan's ear.

After finding the perfect Rachel and Chandler, the actors continue to showcase their talents one by one. Will was able to find an actor similar to Ross and later became an actress for Phoebe. He no doubt realized that he would not be able to find the original actor to create [Friends] but this was not too bad, every actor has their own talents and some have a sense of comedy in them.

Therefore, Will tried his best to get an actor that was even very similar to the original in his mind.

In the end, he even asked someone to play the role that Matthew le Blanc played, the role of Joey. Benjamin Scott is able to please Will with his skills. He is a pizza delivery guy in the profession who is 28 years old, but after seeing the man's acting skills, Will gives him the role of knowing with a little practice the man will succeed.

For Monica, Will has to go with Emily Penelope, the original actress who is about 26 years old, as she finds no one else among the 100 present there. But the girl he found, he thought he lacked something the real Monica had. Will could only think of ways to perfect his acting in the role of Monica.

***

Assistant director for Will's previous films, Alan gets the chance of a lifetime. After Will realized and was impressed with his work, he gave Alan the opportunity to direct [Catch Me if You Can] himself.

Alan and Leo were talking about the movie while sipping their coffee in the morning.

"It's going to be a good shot actually, the Leo I shot was very charming, let me explain,"

After seeing Leo's face filled with questions, Alan decided to explain from the beginning who Frank Abagnale was. He was, in fact, excited to share all the details.

“So, as you know his character, Frank Abagnale, the one you will star in is someone who is very intelligent, cunning, mysterious, kind, and considerate. This scene will be the perfect scene to explain it to you. You know the scene where Frank pretended to be a substitute teacher in French and continued his acting for a week?”

“Oh yes, that one.” The scene follows when Frank enters the classroom and a classmate jokingly says, that 'he looks like a substitute teacher'. But after a while, Frank was cast as a substitute teacher and had been teaching in class for a week.

This is a great scene where the nature of the characters is more than visible.

“Frank Abagnale who is the main character and is a very innocent child who comes from a newly broken family and he tends to seek entertainment in deceiving people into giving him money. So, this became his profession when he was seventeen and was successful until he was twenty.

Even with that little bit of information, you can understand that he is smart and brave. He observed the situation which helped him succeed in his plan. In every situation, Abagnale changes himself to fit the personality he needs to execute his plan. Actually, this scene is very funny. The only thing is, the acting skills you need to do this perfectly, ”Alan explains who Frank is.

“Yes, I can imagine it,” Leo laughed imagining the whole scene in the script.

“Frank can be thought of as someone who knows what to say to manipulate people. Who knows how to say the right thing at the right time. Although Frank would hesitate a few times, he managed to hide it well. The only way to recognize his doubts was from the surrounding atmosphere. It's that delicate situation that gives it all, BUT, Frank took the risk and it was worth it, ” explained Alan.

“Yes, I understand, but I have a question, do you think after watching this....People may go with the wrong idea? I mean, it's basically about a guy who cheats other people with things right?” Leo asked.

“Yeah, not really. The film is set a few years ago. Like, in the movie, Frank Abagnale will be the only one to do it to some extent, and it happened 37, 38 years ago. He was just a 16-17-18 year old, and that was something everyone needed to understand. Especially, when there is no protection we have today, it is much harder to pass a bad check eight years ago than it is now, so that explains the whole reason behind it, ” explained Alan.

After about 45 minutes of discussing the story, plot, and acting, Leo was satisfied with the information he had.

"It's going to be an interesting movie to shoot, indeed," She smiled at her own words.
