In Will's office on the 6th floor, Jeffrey and Will were discussing the script of the film [1917].
“You know, as long as war movies are well made, always produce more than your average daily movie because of the sentiment of nationalism and such things.”
jefri. She has a lot of experience in Hollywood and is someone who can easily find answers almost all the time as long as it is related to Hollywood.
The reason why Will thinks of him as Doraemon from Hollywood.
“Ya, it is like that.”
Will answered Jeffrey.
“But this film is somewhat different from the war movies in general. It focuses on the story of two soldiers. Not to mention, throughout the half of the film Blake looked like the protagonist but he died and Schofield took over. Why is it like that?"
Jeffrey asked in a clearly confused voice.
“That is the attraction of this film. From the beginning, both were film protagonists. Both are the main actors. After Blake's death, Schofield took over the role of delivering messages, and this is a unique part of the film.” Will explain.
[1917] is a film based in wartime England. In the film, the Germans have prepared an ambush for the British army and the lives of 1,600 soldiers are at stake. The film's protagonists, Tom Blake and William Schofield, are given the mission to deliver a message about the ambush to Colonel Mackenzie.
Through many hardships they reach and Schofield nearly dies from an explosion, but Blake saves him. After some time they found a German plane that was shot down by an allied plane. Blake and Schofield rescue the burning pilot from the plane and Blake persuades Schofield to fetch water.
As soon as Schofield turned around, the pilot stabbed Blake. Schofield immediately shot down the dead pilot. Schofield comforts Blake as he takes his last breath, promises him to complete the mission and then writes a letter to Blake's mother.
After this point of the story, Schofield basically took on the role of the main character and after many struggles, he managed to get the message across and save many, many people, including Blake's brother who was a lieutenant in the army. He gives dog tags and Blake's ring to his brother and asks permission to write to their mother, who, Joseph, Blake's brother, agrees. The film ends with Schofield resting under a nearby tree, looking at photographs of his wife and children.
The film is a rollercoaster of emotions and is very exciting from start to finish. Both of the film's main cast were new faces in Will's previous Hollywood worlds, but the film earned Oscar nominations and even won awards for best cinematography.
And that's why Will wanted Jeffrey to be the cinematographer. If things go well, even if he doesn't get an Oscar, he can at least still get a nomination.
"One more thing... Is there a reason why you are from a British background?"
Jeffrey asked while scratching his head.
Will laughed at that as he replied.
“There aren't many reasons behind that. That's because I'm half English. My mom is English so I wrote it against a British background.”
This is half right. Will's mother in this world was indeed an English woman but she made English films like Sherlock Holmes and 1917 because she got their scripts out of the system, which she could not tell anyone. Heck, even Harry Potter would be English.
If this trend continues, Will will be branded a true Englishman by the media, even though he is not actually British. Although, he did not care much about the media and their baseless rumors.
As the conversation continued, it finally came to an important topic.
“I want two new faces – new actors from DTA to play the role of movie protagonist.” Will says to Jeffrey, who is then replied by Jeffrey.
“Good idea. But according to the script, what I expected was that the budget would be quite large, maybe even more expensive than [Sherlock Holmes], so it would be quite risky to have two new actors play the lead roles. Jeffrey announced his concern about the matter. It is clear that taking on a new actor for such a film, especially where there are no prominent side characters they can recruit for a famous actor, such as [Sherlock Holmes], would be a big risk.
“We will not succeed in the market if we are afraid of risk. And remember that risk always comes with rewards. As long as the film is a success, we will have two more faces that can become pillars of DTA.” Will said while browsing through the list of actors and resumes that have passed the second round and interviews. The reason Will wanted to be present in the final round of auditions was also because of this. He wanted to take on his own the most prominent actor for the future film role of Dream Vision.
“Well, as you said. Sometimes I really want to curse you for raising my heart rate by taking so many risks, but I also enjoy the pleasant surprises that come from that risk, so I have taken a lesson. As long as you are sure of it, even if the movie fails, I'll support your idea.” Jeffrey said as he rubbed his head and smiled tiredly, which only Will laughed at. Jeffrey has become like an old friend with whom Will would consult many things but mostly do what he wants.

Seattle, Washington.
Lawrence was a prominent actor who largely became a legend in Hollywood in the 70s. He has earned many awards and before his death, he had founded a film school.
It has been two years since she graduated from it but she has not been able to get a good role in Hollywood. Worse, he is often criticized for having an empty appearance.
One director even said she wasn't too pretty or too sexy.
It greatly lowered his confidence and in the end, he took a job at a restaurant to pay his bills. But today even that was difficult.
Her roommate had married last month and left, so she was the only one living here now. It's hard to even pay the rent.
When the camera was ready, he looked in the mirror and slightly shifted his hair. Looking in the mirror, he tried to smile. Natalie exuded the aura of a girl next door, someone that people would easily forget after one meeting.
He would record a famous scene from one of the films that became popular in 2005. It was a scene from a fantasy film titled [In the Land of Dungeons] in which the female lead lost her lover and stood near her corpse. .
It was basically the story of a princess and a knight who would flee from the rebels after the empire fell. Together, they will find themselves in an old dungeon with dark spirits.
The story will take a step there with the knight who turns the princess into a capable mercenary, eventually becoming a lover.
In the end, the knight will die and this is the scene *******.
It was a pretty emotional scene but it stood out.
He started recording. And even without applying the baton of menthol tears, his eyes were first sad and then a flood of tears broke. He repeated the famous dialogue from the film as follows.
"You said you'd be with me until death do us part, and so, I'd follow you in the afterlife, if anything."
It was a pretty cheesy line but it was perfect with the development of the story and received a lot of fans. The hero stabbed himself after saying that, with a drop of blood flowing from the corner of his lips, he died with a smile with his head on his lover's chest.
Natalie continued acting for a while and after the scene ended, she stood up and stopped the recording.
After a bit of editing, he can send it to the DTA.
"I wish I'd graduated."
He thinks in his mind.
If she doesn't pass the audition, she won't know what to do. The DTA is her only option because she needs an agent to survive in Hollywood. He had one before but he had left it after finding a job at a major agency that did not consider him talented.
"This is really my last chance."
He is 23 years old and his family has forced him to do something in life. Otherwise, he could have taken a drama teacher job at a local high school or something.
As he sighed, Will's shadow flashed across his mind. She was younger than him and with no background whatsoever but in just a year, she had made a place for herself in Hollywood.
Now he's even playing in multimillion-dollar deals and building businesses.
He wondered what it would be like if he liked it. She would get roles in big movies and it would be fine even if she had to date him.
After all, in Hollywood, it was quite common and Will had no major scandals or bad rumors about him.
But in the end, he shrugged and frowned. After all, it was just a fleeting thought.
