The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 173

It's been a month since Ross took over as CEO. She has met other prominent Dream Vision and DTA employees. This is mainly because of how close their office is.

Over the course of a month, he came to know a lot about who Will Evans was. His strange habit was something that mattered when Ross thought about it. Will will sometimes bring in a random actor and reveal the person will be the protagonist of the next movie, or how that person could be a star in the industry. Not just once, but he has done it more than a few times.

Although it is relatively difficult to think, Ross has heard things like that about Will Evans.

Seeing how Will looked at Andrew, Ross felt as if this would be such a situation. It made goosebumps rise on his skin knowing this would be the moment where he would witness such a moment from his naked eyes.

"I'm Andrew Griffin" The man introduced himself. Will nodded showing that he was listening.

"Have you read the script?" Would question.

"Yes sir. Yeah,"

"Big. You know how it goes, don't you? Get ready and take a good look,” Will said as he gestured for the video operator to start playing the video.

The short scene played out once where the animated spiderman did something and looked as if he was speaking without sound. These are all part of the voice actor's job description. To give life to something that contains nothing but visual movement.

"Ready?" Ross asked as soon as the video played once.

"Yes,"

The video starts again but this time, Andrew's voice is heard through the microphone.

“And good morning to you J. Jonah Loudmouth.” A good start compared to every other voice actor that came along. Andrew had previously recalled the exact number of the second, which was 0.48, when Spiderman spoke.

Stan Lee's eyebrows shot up at how on target he was.

“Spread says chairman.”

"Oh good, Trapper."

“This is when I left the notes of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man? Can I borrow a pen? Interesting, the eyes of criminals widen in fear, but the spidey senses do not tingle.”

Andrew was snapped as the character did.

“Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD The Enforcement and Logistics Division of Strategic Homeland Intervention. Spy super. You super spy made a promise to sneak up on a hardworking hero?

"I did a good job."

"Yes. Huh uh?"

“Heh. I know it. You want me to buy a line of self-help books. Notinterested. In addition, I was tapped until payday, so if we're all done here, I'll.”.

"Okay, that's enough" Will said as the clip ended.

This was the first performance in which three people who auditioned saw the voice actor succeed on his first attempt.

Will takes time to process that the cloned version in Andrew Garfield's universe is very good at what he does. He was quite proud of the way Andrew performed, but he had other plans.

"Thank you" said Andrew and walked out of the studio.

"Is he okay? I was surprised how he started, it was very difficult to do. I look at the struggles of others, and given that, he is very good in my opinion,” Stan Lee said as he gave his opinion.

Stan Lee noticed a strange expression on Will's face. He doubted whether something was wrong, or something was too right. He doesn't know.

"He's fine" Will murmured. “I'm thinking of something, just continue the audition without me for a while.”

will said and walked out of the studio.

Walking out, he ran through the corridor to meet the stairs. He saw two staff members come and stop them.

"Call Andrew, the tall man in the blue T-shirt who just came, don't let him go" Will told the fat man who continued to listen to his words.

"Huh?"

"Surge. Why are you just standing?" Will questions why he didn't move.

“I'll pick him up, Sir,” A short man next to him quickly replied.

Will shook his head and waited until the person he was waiting for came and met him. As he stood at the top of the stairs, people began to sneak up and talk amongst themselves, whispering what was going on.

Almost the entire department knew that Will had just run off in a hurry, wanting to meet a man.

***

Andrew and Will sit in an office, facing each other.

The office looked quite dull with white walls and gray pillows beside it. The atmosphere was very cold for Andrew. Maybe because of AC or maybe because his mind is questioning what he is doing here.

"Andrew Griffin, right?" Will asked as soon as they sat down.

“Please call me Will. So, how's your life? What's yourjob?"

Andrew looked a little surprised. She did not expect something like this would come her way when she woke up in the morning to face an audition. He was confused, nervous, and excited at the same time.

“Eh... I'm a dropout, trying to work here and there. There must be something for someone like me, right?” Andrew chuckled, alone. Clearing his throat in a second, he continued, “I worked as a voice actor for the last few months, a director picked me and thought I would fit in with a side character in his cartoon series. And it ended a while ago, she suggested to me that I should do this audition, saying that I have nothing to lose.”

Will chuckled at his words.

"His words, not mine," added Andrew at last.

"What else, Andrew?" will ask.

“Yah, dad. He works at 'Farlan Enterprises'. Not much, a single father, uh-”

Andrew felt even more nervous when consciousness hit again, in front of him was Will Evans. And there he was, raving about his life.

"Sorry, but why am I here? Am I selected?” ask andrew.

Will could immediately feel how nervous he was. Andrew's constantly agitated fingers on the table gave it to him.

Will nodded to answer his question, “I think you did. You know, your audition is one of the best I saw today, ”

“Oh, thank you very much,” a grin appeared on Andrew's face while covering his mouth happily.

“Ya, congratulations. Andrew, I have another question. Do you have an interest in acting? ”

“I tried to face an audition in acting. But it didn't work out long enough, then I saw this audition, so I tried it. Not that I gave up completely, but I just shifted my focus more to voice acting.” Andrew explained.

Will listened to his words carefully. He leaned over to put both of his hands on the table.

“What do you think of Spiderman? Read the comics?” will ask.

"Yes I did. The director who mentioned this audition specifically told me to try out the comic before trying on the role. So I have to read and I think Spiderman is really cool,” Andrew said. “Spiderman and Peter Parker have different personalities, which makes the hero better,”

"I have a role for you" Will said after listening to his words.

Hearing this, Andrew had no idea what was going to happen to him.

***

“Give me a good reason why you don't think that I'm better than him? I mean, look at him. See me. I even want to marry someone like me. A romance? A funny? Sarcastic? Charismatic? Be my magic mirror one last time before you walk out that door..The magic mirror inside of someone, who is the best boyfriend of all?”

The person who continues to practice some dialogue in front of the mirror looks at himself and explores his eyes through his features.

'One more, won't do any harm' He cheers himself up and stands tall again.

“I saw you running in the store looking like a stick stuck in your ass. Especially in this world?”

"Oh, no, if I were you, I would even try to look normal, I see kids laughing at you ..."

"No, I joined them, it's funny."

The mirror version of himself looked very serious.

******* hardly comes out of his lips as he sits on the floor. His bedroom door opened and an old man with a distended stomach walked in with a disappointed face as usual.

“Be realistic once in your life. Look at you, talk to yourself and think some director will make you act in a movie. Give up on your fucking antiques for once and get a decent job, we both know that you've wasted half your life in acting, "

He is the father of a wannabe actor, someone who is now remarried due to the death of his ex-wife. The man in his late twenties lives alone in his apartment room, but his father will make a surprise visit just to remind him how many jokes in his life.

“Don't make fun of my dreams, Dad. Sooner or later, I will be at the top, making enough money to make us both live happy lives. If you can't trust my words or my efforts, at least don't make fun of it, and I have a job.”

Every time his father made a visit, it would end up with a few words eating him alive.

"What job? You call idle as a service? ”

“If you don't remember, I am a freelance paparazzi,” said the man in a low voice.

He was tired of trying to prove his worth once in a while. It was as if his words were not heard by his father, who only wanted him to get a decent job.

“Oh yes, your work is very good. How can I forget how proud I am. Moments like this, I wonder why I even wasted gas to come and see my son, when he didn't care about how I wanted him to be, he said, at least thanks for giving you an early warning after you were kicked out of here and were in the streets,” He stormed out, closing the door behind him with a thud.

The man shook his head while thinking about what his father said. He stood walking towards the picture frame which became his only inspiration to keep fighting.

Will Evans's. It was a photograph of a handsome dressed man, who had captivated the whole of Hollywood with his hard work, talent, and charm.

"Sorry boss, as much as I admire you, I need to get some spice from you to make a living."
