The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 51

In the next few days, Will was busy completing paperwork to acquire Krown's studio. Things like this are always complicated in a place like America.

One has to go through many departments to get things done legally, but his lawyer, Jason, really helped him get all of this done quickly.

On Sunday, he became the owner of the Krown studio which is now renamed 'Dream Vision Studios'.

Will has to spend a little money on office renovations, creating a new website, and creating other social media platforms for his new venture. She wants her studio to connect with people, and she knows how powerful social media is.

He also designed his own logo.

He is not very good at drawing, but he does his best for the company logo.

It was just a picture of a camera looking into the distance with the name of the studio written underneath. Will liked it a lot.

In his mind, the camera was the way he imagined his dream, and since it was also simple, it didn't take much time to make it official.

As his identity as a new owner, everything around him felt quite new, almost like the first day an employee worked.

But just because things feel new and fresh does not mean there is no work to be done. In fact, there is a lot of work pending, and it must be completed immediately to enter the pre-production stage.

Although Will doesn't fire a single employee, there are one or two of them who leave on their own accord, probably thinking that the company will die, and the reason they survive is for Frank, who is not, not for Will.

There's been staff for most things, but they're all lacking, according to Will, so he wants to hire more staff and fill in the gaps.

The CEO is the most important person needed to run the company.

Will himself wanted to focus solely on the film. He had to do a lot of things on his own, such as script writing, production and directing. He also could not allow anyone to enter into greater negotiations for him.

And with all of these side jobs, it is not only difficult to run a company, but there may also be complexity, and both of these jobs may be thorns in between themselves. For this reason, Will thought it would be much better to get a capable CEO, and he could just be the founder of the company.

As the CEO has supreme power within a company and his decisions affect the entire company, he must be the one who understands the intricacies of Hollywood and must be capable enough to take decisions on behalf of the company.

For this obvious reason, Will has asked Benjamin to be the CEO of his company because he is the most capable person Will knows, at least regarding this matter.

Benjamin immediately rejected the offer, saying that he still had a lot of work at MCA, he even had a contract he could not decide on in the middle. In addition, he himself did not want to start from scratch, because it would be too tiring and time-consuming daily, especially in the previous days. So he said it would be better to find someone else.

As Will thought from Benjamin's shoes, he, of course, understood the reason. Dream Vision is just a newly hatched chick and has not even gotten its first profit yet. Compared to that, the MCA was an adult goose that laid golden eggs; the choice was obvious.

*Bip**Bip*

As Will thought about all this while lying on his bed, his phone beeped on the lamp table beside him.

When he picked up the phone, he saw that he received a letter from Benjamin.

[Hey Will, please,

I sent you the resume of the woman I spoke about earlier. It's enclosed in this letter. Please find the attachment.]

Will smiled as he read the email.

Although Benjamin had rejected his offer, he had also recommended others for the position.

Benjamin's recommended person was Amanda Garcia, and he was someone who had worked directly under him and was looking for new opportunities lately.

As Will reads his resume, he learns that he is a graduate of a famous business school in New York City and works as an executive for a mid-sized company before being drawn into the world of showbiz.

He easily breaks the Agent exam and becomes an agent at MCA, slowly contributing to the company and getting promotion after promotion.

As the MCA began to decline and management changed, he was completely unhappy with it and eventually decided to quit due to competition without getting a decent result. He plans to start again at several new companies in hopes of making it big.

After leaving MCA, he worked for two companies as a senior agent. However, both companies failed due to high competition and a shallow understanding of the industry, although he tried his best to keep them afloat. But, one person cannot mean much, especially when he is not someone who can make big decisions.

She is a middle-aged woman in her 40s and has been divorced with two children.

Will finally decides to meet Amanda.

He called her at the number provided on her resume and talked to her about the interview, which she agreed to. Even when calling, her confidence and manner of speaking are perfect, factors that the interviewer pays attention to before actually inviting someone for an interview.

Amanda and Will shake hands as Will signals her to sit down.

Amanda is a blonde woman with average facial features and sharp eyes. Although she was almost 44 years old, her face did not have any obvious wrinkles.

He has a white shirt under a peach blazer with tight black pants. He gives the vibe of a businessman and entrepreneur. It was surprising how he had worked under someone all this time.

Will has called her to the Dream Vision Studios office, Krown Studios' previous office, and she is currently in Will's private cabin.

Will has renovated his own cabin. It is neat and gives a modern office atmosphere. The office is on the 5th floor, so it provides ample views of the glass windows.

When the introduction was over, Will immediately jumped to the basic question.

"Why did you agree to give an interview for Dream Vision company, and can you really do that job with the two of you who have two children?"

This was the most basic question anyone would ask, and Amanda looked ready as she smiled and said.

"It's obvious because of you, Will Evans. There's no Dream Vision Studios name yet, and I came for an interview based solely on your fame. And I've been working in this industry for a long time, my kids. , when they were kids, didn't give me any problems, now they're teenagers, so they're fine on their own."

Will was impressed with his answer. Clearly, Dream Vision Studios has not yet become something that people will recognize just by its name. Amanda decided to give the interview because she bet on 'Will Evans' rather than 'Dream Vision Studios' itself.

"Okay, I get your point. Tell me this, if I appoint you as CEO, what will you do to make my company known to people and Hollywood."

Will asks a question that will be of concern to many new companies in Hollywood.

"It won't be easy, I'd say. But given your current fame in Hollywood, even if only temporarily, it could give us a boost. We have to remember one thing: the image of Will and Dream Vision is the same. . So the company will instantly determine your fame and vice versa."

He said while making some hand movements during the process while continuing.

"We need to sell 'you'. We need to sell Will Evans and seize the market. Although I don't want to force you to do something, it would be great if you could do interviews and such in the media, and it would directly affect the image of the company."

After that, he kept talking about how they should engage with social media. As of 2011, social media is still relatively unused by the Hollywood Company.

Amanda proposes that they get more involved with people and have a special team for it, directly promoting their future movies.

Will was very satisfied with all of his wife's answers because he himself had thought through many of these answers, while the other answers he mentioned never crossed his mind but remained a good idea.

As the meeting was about to end, Will decided to ask a very sensitive question. Sensitive, not to him, but to himself.

"What do you think of my age? You know that I'm young; why do you still decide to give me an interview?"

In fact, this is a hot topic in Hollywood right now. There has been much speculation and criticism regarding Will's age, and most of them speculate him as a one-time miracle.

And his fame will soon subside, just like the runaway teenage star who lost it all soon.

"Well, it's actually pretty simple. You have earned quite a lot of money, and you can decide to live off it for the rest of your life. But instead of that, you set up a company, deciding to avoid the party. You are invited, and do not involve yourself with one girl after another. It's reasonable enough for me to believe that you have your own plans, so I want to be a part of them."

Amanda replied with a flat face as she looked Will straight into her eyes, clearly showing him honestly.

It's true that Will was invited to many Hollywood parties and such after his big vacation, but he didn't attend it, nor did he spend money like a fool and decided to buy the company first.

Will is convinced that Amanda has learned it before he even invited her for an interview, and as such, she is quite prepared. Despite all that, she quite liked Amanda's straightforward character and ideas, so she decided to give her a job.

"Welcome to Dream Vision Studios!"

He said shaking hands.
